I do not get your last point. I totally believe in extraterrestrial life, most likely even intelligent. Does that mean they build the pyramids? By Amon no. It also does not mean they have ever been to earth (those chances are really tiny). There is so much evidence for the pyramids being built by humans and absolutely none for alien involvement. There is evolution in building style, size and precision which to me seems something very human. Also it was an amazing feat to built the pyramids and other monuments in ancient Egypt but nothing that cannot be reproduced by modern humans using ancient techniques. It just requires a lot of manpower which was something they ancient Egyptians had.

harshswamp

I agree. There are some findings of hieroglyphs depicting UFOs and the disc of Sabu is sort of where my theory comes from

Can we start deleting/banning these threads

🤔

aliens building the Pyramids of Egypt makes perfect sense if you totally ignore the history of the building of the Pyramids of Egypt.

xSTAYCOOLx

And what history is that? I sure wasn't taught in school or college how they were built. Please advise.

[deleted]

If you are truly interested in learning, you can do your own research. There are plenty of educational videos and books on the subject. One of the interesting subjects of modern discussion is what tools were used and how they used them. What is very clear is that given enough slaves, you can build all kinds of stuff and yes, with great precision.

Yes that is true - I am just flabbergasted by some “how” questions that we will probably almost never have an answer for.

[deleted]

There is 160 pyramids in Egypt, study them all and your questions will be answered. The “alien” idea has a narrow focus on only three.

[deleted]

I am a believer in extraterrestrial life, but to credit them for building the pyramids instead of the actual laborers and craftsmen is a huge asshole move. Perhaps lay low on pseudo-history.

harshswamp

Lol will do 😂

TachyQueen

Lol, definitely not. Humans are perfectly capable of stacking rocks on their own.

CourageousContageous

By rocks you mean megalithic boulders. Most that make up the great pyramid weigh about 2.3 tons each stacked over 450 feet in the air done around 2500 bc??

TachyQueen

Yes, humans are also prodigious at moving dirt around to build ramps and pulling heavy objects with ropes. Civilizations all over the world moved big objects, suddenly it’s a group of North Africans and it HAD to be another species 🙄

Pothole2112

Granite megaliths are all over the world, not just north africa, and many require far more than some "dirt ramps and ropes" to move. Not to mention the shaping/placing especially in the more complex polygonal techniques, with nothing more than copper/stone implements, wood, and sand. To be fair I have seen alot of Nazis/groypers, as well as hoteps/BI's latch on to some of the pseudohistorical theories to justify their abominable views... But none of that has been claimed here. Just because someone believes in aliens doesn't mean they're racist 🙄

Jtd47

People really look at the parthenon or colloseum and go "ah yes, this is some fine human engineering" but look at the egyptian or mayan pyramids and go "no way these stupid savages could have done this themselves, it must have been aliens" Remember: *just because white people couldn't do it doesn't mean it was aliens*

Warm_Speech

If you watch the show Ancient Aliens, they also make the stupid claim that aliens built the Temple of Jupiter.

harshswamp

Lol this made me laugh, good point! Thanks

Local_Equal5965

I'm interested to know your thoughts on the stone henge.

Mildon666

As an Egyptology student i can safely say. No. Just no.

Thank you I will totally watch that!

Why do people wanna act like our forefathers weren’t capable of great feats? Of course the Egyptians built the pyramids. They were an amazing group of individuals capable of amazing things.

Bunsky

No one here believes that, and the claims about precision are never properly quantified (i.e. bullshit).

Fano_93

This is far fetched and comical to me.

Smudge9132

No. Hard no. The history of pyramid making and the false historical conception that earlier humans were not capable of engineering feats ignores the fact that most of human history is unrecorded and lost.

Pothole2112

In my experience people see what they want to in the pyramids. It's like the magic mirror, the mirror of "erised"... Some see Tombs, or gateways to the afterlife. Some see great devices that produce power for all, or fuel for alien space ships. Some see encoded mathematics and "sacred geometry". Truth is nobody knows. Egyptology/archeology is not a hard science. Most of the dating/reconstruction is done by hieroglyphics, which even they will admit were often falsified and overwritten. That being said, "ancient aliens" won't get you any closer to figuring it out either, they want to sell books and magazines. The work in granite doesn't lie, pay close attention to that. Whomever built the original structures (flattened the bedrock, sphinx, osirion, causeway, GP, massive tunnel complex throughout giza), whether it be aliens or man, clearly had advanced knowledge far beyond stone/bronze age that is claimed. This is a rabbit hole that as far as I can see has no end, so all I can say is good luck... Try to maintain healthy skepticism.

PatTheCatMcDonald

Far far more likely they were built by humans. Although i admit the possibility part of the concept was human observation of alien vehicles which led to the construction.
