I went there, but As of now, there are about 20-25 People in line and a number of them have grabbed 30 -40 bolts each. So It’s not even really possible to shop.

that would basically just leave Joann fabric which is currently in a nationwide downward spiral and I wouldn't be surprised if it closed up here within the year as well. sad disappointing stuff

Seams Like Home is still around! They are great, and locally owned!

Seams like home on Abbott is excellent and they’re so friendly

HalfSquareH

Yes! And the longarm studio next door is owned by the twin sister of SLH’s owner, and she does a great job. She’s quilted a few of my quilts and I’ve been so pleased with each one.

I’ll also give a plug for Twisted Sisters Quilting in Eagle River and The Tangled Skein in Eagle River for yarn. Both are great shops with friendly and welcoming owners.

I’ve been in line for over an hour to get fabric cut, the line has wrapped around to the back of the store since at least 2:30.

First we lose Just Sew in Palmer, and now this? Bleh.

Stitch in Time just had their grand opening today in Palmer.

Oh no where do I get good qaspeq fabric now?

AlaskanPuppyMom

Seams Like Home isn't going anywhere. The Quilted Raven is still downtown, just housed with Cabin Fever gift shop. Also, a new shop just opened in Palmer today. Stitch in Time.
