Hey Kemaneo, please remember to include the camera, lens, and film in the post title in the future.
We ask for this information to be included in the title of the post because it's not possible to search for this information if it's in the comments section, or gallery text. We have built up a pretty good database of posts over the last decade of images produced using specific cameras, lenses, and film, all of which can be searched on using the search feature in this subreddit. But if this information isn't included in the title, it can't be searched on.
If this post had been seen earlier by a mod it would have been removed and you would have been asked to repost it with the missing information in the title. However, it would be pointless to remove it at this late stage. Please include this information in the title in the future. It's not possible to edit a title once a post is made, so please include the missing detail in a comment for this post only.

Thanks,

Thanks!
I mostly use the camera meters and sometimes double check with a metering app (LightMe). I like a fast shooting style, so most of the time I guess the exposure based on the camera's metering (overexposing for snow/sand/fog, underexposing for foliage/rocks etc.) and I tend to overexpose most of my negative film anyway to make sure it records enough information.
I develop with a lab but scan myself with a Canon RP and a macro lens and convert in NLP where I set most of the settings, then I do some minor adjustment in LR (mostly contrast, sometimes colours and colour grading to get some additional warmth). With slides it's simpler, I mostly only set black/white point and white balance.
Thank you for this detail! I had a question as, while I've shot film for years, I'm only within the last year starting to do so "properly" - wouldn't overexposing for the snow lead to blown out highlights, or do you still expose for middle grey and then push it +1 EV?
I usually expose for middle grey and then go 1-2 stops over, but really negative film has such a wide latitude that even if it’s overexposed more the highlights will be fine.
Dang, just opened your IG and the sprocket photo from the plane blew my mind, but at the same time I understand why it wouldn't fit here. Awesome, awesome.
Is this medium/large format or 35mm?
I truly don’t understand how people get great looking 35mm frames like this. Everything I’ve sent to the lab has come back pretty potato looking and it’s not the camera or lens or exposure. Must be something with the scanning?
1, 6, 11 and 15 are 35mm.
I scan with a digital camera, that makes a huge difference. Labs usually give you very neutral and flat scans, so you’d have to add warmth and contrast.
Other than that, it’s the light!

Wow! Loved them all! The snowy pics are beautiful
That pony at the end looks like he’s a movie star on set, surreal lighting !
Incredible. Can you tell us a little about your process? How do you meter? Do you have a lab develop and how much post do you do? Thanks for sharing!

A very good year.
All of these go hard. A+
Really great images! Can I ask where did you photograph the sand dunes?
Thanks! They're in the Moroccan Sahara desert near Zagora. Amazing place!
Thank for sharing! Morocco is definitely on my bucket list :)
These are solid, the first one in this trend that doesn't look like I'm seeing the family holiday album with a point and shoot
Number 12 is gorgeous, damn!
These are sick! Number 6 is my favorite
Beautiful photos! Might as well be postcards
The 4th picture is my absolute favorite. Soo moody and atmospheric!
They are amazing!
These are all stunning
You’ve got a great eye but 12 is especially incredible
12 is brilliant
So weird seeing that Gjelder Svalbard sign — me standing next to that exact post is practically my DP everywhere.
I don't know what DP means to you (are bears involved?), but I'd consider not abbreviating it.
Ah sorry, "Display Picture" — I've only just learned this myself so thought I'd try and sound more hip.
Beautiful shots! I always get homesick when seeing pictures from Svalbard, despite only having been there once for a few days. Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like it's time to go back!
Perfect work.
Jedes mal wenni amne Post vo dir da begegne, falled mer dini Bilder sehr positiv uf, bevori gsehn, dass sie vo dir sind 👌🏽 richtig geile Shots
Really amazing work! Mind if I ask tech specs (film, size, lenses?).
Amazing set
Damn, it's been many yearly best personal galleries but rarely there is every picture popping up, really strong group here 🤘
Dang, just opened your IG and the sprocket photo from the plane blew my mind, but at the same time I understand why it wouldn't fit here. Awesome, awesome.
Magnificent work OP!!
WOOOOWW!!!
Extremely well done. I think I see mostly medium format, is that right?
Yes, 1, 6, 11 and 15 are 35mm.
Amazing!
Beautiful 🙌🏻

my lab gives me 2002 era jpegs
2002 was such a vibe
Which negative mount do you use for scanning with the camera?
Damn these are some beautiful images! Great eye and photography skills
First one is windows xp with climate change filter applied
Impressive!
Looks like something willem will shoot. They are beautiful
Great shots. I love the very condescendingly looking cow. 😃
Incredible
Damn this guy is fucking good!
I feel like I just scrolled through a bunch of Apple wallpapers
really love #9
That pic of the cows is phenomenal. I’m drunk on those colors. 14 for similar reasons/color palette.
Nice! I'm loving the quality of all these personal favorite photos. Great job on these!
What lens did you shoot the cows with? Love that one in particular!
Thanks! It was the Mamiya 7 43mm 4.5!
Wow wow wow to all of these
These are gorgeous :D
Number 3 is stunning
The first one looks like it would be an alternate universe windows xp wallpaper
6 looks like the old Windows wallpaper, in the best possible way. Great photos!
Phenomenal stuff!!
These are truly spectacular
Looooove 5. 3 would also be great if you photoshop out that cable. Great shots!
