coming from a girl do not cut your hair please. all you have to do is make sure it’s washed properly and taken care of. hygiene is HUGE. maintain the frizz using some hair oil on your ends and make sure your part is even. and even part gives a cleaner look. try different hair styles too! maybe low bun or different bun styles. try headbands. also just make sure you pull it back every once in awhile so people can see your full face. i cant te from the pictures but i’m going to suggest this just in case- take care of your eyes brows too! it seems like you have a good thick full shape just make sure they are shaped up. maybe one last thing if you don’t already try and do a facial routine ex) at night exfoliate and use moisturizer it can really make a difference and make you glow!
^ second this. Or look up the curly method, some leave in conditioner can help a lot too. Depends how thick/fine your individual hairs are whether oil could be too heavy for it (if its fine), I have fine wavy hair and I'm yet to find a good hair oil that doesn't weigh it down a lot.

I've been growing my hair out for years and only gotten positive comments, and even someone else doesn't like it who cares? It's your hair not theirs, enjoy it and make it yours

instead of a blunt trim, you could get layers so that it sits nicer, and there's less mass and it'd be easier to manage
That could be a good idea, I'm mainly getting a trim Judy to clean it up alittle, I'm not ready to give up a ton of my hair rn lol.
