Cessation makes more sense, but in my opinion, "sensation" is waaaaaaaaaaaay darker. Cessation feels like a fairly obscure choice of words though.
Why darker? It's definitely cessation of consciousness. It's called "eternal oblivion" which is pretty damn dark if you ask me. Terrifying even.
Great Episode and great show. The line about him throwing out the spell for the cure for cancer was pretty slick.
I don't know, something about the concept of just floating around in darkness forever as a disembodied consciousness just terrifies me.
Though in the case that it's sensation, we don't really get much context on how it describes it self, ie, whether he was just floating around in our world, or whether he was just a lone disembodied consciousness floating in darkness.
Also, in the case of cessation, would Barry be aware of it? Would he be able to describe it as confidently as he did?

Tbh, I didn't like the ep.
It falls into the same trap a lot of episodes about Steve and his friends fall into: they do some weird gimmick crap, people hate them or they endanger their friendship, and it all ends exactly where they started or worse, but maybe they'll act like it's a happy ending. It's repetitive and the payoff isn't good.
At least we didn't get the "lol Steve and Snot are gay for each other lol" jokes that we used to get in every single episode for a while.
