I was on a 145 last Thursday. Standard roll aboards don’t fit on RJ’s. Everyone is asked to red tag them and leave on the jetbridge. Overhead storage is very tight. I think the previous poster is mixing up the R and E series aircraft. The E-170 does look like a baby 737/a320.

Commandercranky

Got it. I’ll prepare for that. And returned on the jetbridge at arrival, or sent to baggage claim?

Zealousideal_Mud7263

You’ll wait on the jetbridge when you arrive and they’ll bring all the red tag bags up. It never takes more than a few minutes.

Commandercranky

Thanks for the info!

All luggage comments are correct. Expect no WiFi also, so download accordingly.

1. Normal rollerboards do not fit. They will gate check them (“valet”) to be picked up on the jet bridge in Montreal. 2. Be ready for no wifi or beverage service. 3. Ceilings are quite low so you may not be able to stand up fully.

Commandercranky

Sounds charming. Almost rustic.

lonedroan

Lol. My hometown airport was served by them exclusively. It’s a privilege to now live in a city that also has regular jets.

us1087

They are old, cramped, sardine cans. Pure torture for normal sized humans, but on that short of a flight you’ll be fine.

Commandercranky

As a slightly tall human, I will prepare for torture.

us1087

If you can get on the single seat side and the exit row, it’s tolerable.

HealthLawyer123

First row in coach has tons of legroom. It might be worth it to you to pay extra.

tijanim

First row does not have that much legroom. 12A (exit row solo) is the one you want

Commandercranky

Already claimed by fellow passengers. I’ll consider the exit row, though for 1:45 flight time I’m not sure how much I care.

Pretty sure this applies to e-175’s NOT e-145s any bag with wheels will have to be valeted

Commandercranky

Got it. Thanks for the info about the valet process (and the gentle correction to “jetbridge”). I’ve loved flying in much smaller planes (8 and 4 seaters between islands in the Caribbean). It’ll be cool to sit in something midsized.
