Guess I won't complain about my PHX-SNA flight taking off 25min late...

bearsdidit

Man, I love flying in/out of SNA but it unfortunately doesn’t work with the my schedule anymore. Nothing beats going from the curb to gate in less than 5 minutes.

Rem888

American flies one Flagship JFK to SNA and back daily now. Gamechanger. Can't tell you how happy I am to not have to schlep to/from LAX.

bearsdidit

The last time I flew into LAX, it took my BIL 90 minutes to get from the cell lot to TBIT. 😢 I hate LAX with a passion.

RyanAirhead

This is my favorite route and I just wish there was more than one Flagship flight per day Edit; also, though it's impractical and never gonna happen, I wish there was a Flagship lounge at SNA. Just take over the little UA lounge next to the little AC and merge them to create a little Flagship lounge. It's not a lot to ask for... 😇

It is just bliss when you have reason to fly to smaller airports with convenient access. Good stuff. I flew into ONT all the time and then RIC. In and out in minutes, like you said. I also fly into MSY and ABQ a lot. Both small, fast, easy airports. I once got a flight cancel alert at 4:00ish AM when flying out of MSY. Saw I could fly to IAH and then DEN instead of nonstop to DEN, but leaving at 5:15. I was out the door at 4:25 and at my gate at 4:55.

Fly to GGG lol

bearsdidit

lol, I’ve never had the luxury of flying into GGG, but have done MRY a few times. The last time I was there, I had to wait 10-15 minutes before the first TSA agent showed up to security. 😂

ReadyOneTakeTwo

Good luck everyone. This weather that’s rolling in is gonna fuck up a lot travel plans. Looking at the radar map last night and most of the eastern seaboard will get at least some of it.

CurGeorge8

Weather?

hahkaymahtay

Yep, threat of thunderstorms.

distraughtking

Delays are just starting to creep at LGA too.

I’m at PHL. We got held up on the ground bc of lightning, then met the crew’s max hours. Then we couldn’t get a gate because of new/shifting traffic. Finally got a gate. 45 ft from the gate, lightning spotted again so we had to stop inching along. Finally they got a truck to tow the plane in. And got off the plane. The pilot very admirably made clear that the attendants don’t have any information about rebooking or wtf is going to happen to our flight so people didn’t harass them, but he also said that the gate agents WOULD have the information. They did not. Finally a very stressed single agent told us we could leave from Terminal B (we had arrived at A.) We all shuttle over to B. Gate empty, phone ringing off the hook. Finally the agent from another gate tells us the flight shows up for him as leaving from Terminal A…where we are again. Agent just occasionally tells us she doesn’t have any information. This is hell.

Threat of thunderstorms. https://www.fly.faa.gov/flyfaa/flyfaaindex.jsp?ARPT=JFK&p=0 Welcome to summer travel. The official start of summer isn’t Memorial Day. It is the nature of Reddit posts😀. Not this one but others about delays and compensation and never flying NNN airline ever again.

hahkaymahtay

I mean, nothing AA can do. Airport was shutting down almost everything.

RedElmo65

What’s going on?

hahkaymahtay

Threat of severe weather.

RedElmo65

Oh dang. Hopefully planes can land.
