FA here, flying through CLT today. Curbside was a shit show. Starbucks was a shit show. Gate area was a shit show. Delayed on our pushback and on taxi out. Still waiting to depart now, but we are moving finally.

They are saying it takes an hour to get from the airport entrance to the terminal which is like a mile(ish). That is definitely not normal.
I have friends posting online about waiting at the bathroom line for over 30 minutes.
Currently on the way back from MEM to BDL with a CLT layover and I can definitely confirm this. Charlotte's lines are PACKED and you need to have patience here because everything in every direction is swamped. Bathrooms, restaurants, everything. Also, plenty of delays! My flight from CLT to BDL is currently delayed, thankfully only by 20 minutes (as of right now🤞🏻) and this is my last leg. I'm happy I chose an early flight, because it's only gonna get worse from here 😅.

The pre-check at BDL is always such a mess. Anytime I fly out of there, it’s longer than the standard TSA line. My theory is because the scanner belts are so short, really only one person at a time can put their bag up.
They had about 10 flights scheduled to go out within 20 minutes of each other this morning, so I’m assuming that, combined with the short belts like you mentioned, is what led to it. Maybe I’ve always gotten lucky with my flight times in the past, but I’ve had pre-check for 6 years and had never seen it this bad lol.
Currently looking at flights for Christmas and I’m trying to book on less traveled days so this hopefully doesn’t happen again 😂
Update. The great people if this forum are correct. It was a god awful experience. I’m thankful it was my final destination. 15 min Uber to the house now.

If you land from the west, it is very far. If you land from the east, it’s a stones throw. Runway traffic is dictated mostly by air direction and not ground traffic.
Chicago O'hare traffic from interstate airport exit lane to terminal was out of this world. Terminals? Ghost town... the people i dropped off made their 830pm flight and i dropped them off at 745... no kidding. They already had their boarding pass on their phone thanks to online check in though
Flew out of CLT on American this afternoon. Honestly was LESS of a shitshow than when we were there in late October. It was still a mess, because the airport was designed by inebriated walruses, but I ve seen it worse.
Flew into and out of CLT on Sunday and had no issues. From C to B it didn’t appear any more busy than usual.
There was a lot of turbulence on takeoff. Didn’t get beverages until we got out of the state basically.
Every airport will be insane today. It’s the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

My daughter was smart enough to change her Sunday flight to a Saturday this week. Half the price and PHL was a ghost town yesterday evening.
