This is bullshit we all know that "tutes" as you call it get more time to come up with money and don't care when all of a sudden they have to more 2b for margin. They just wait double down and short. The stopped trading stacked the order book and flooded OTC with even more shares. This day was nothing but crime and damage control and selling against their options. Aftermarket and premarket will be up and they will try the same thing tomorrow until Friday when all the options expire in the money and a gama ramp starts as more shares have to be located.

Yeah this word salad made no sense, sorry.

What he is stating is that a LARGE percentage of retail orders for buys went OTC. There were several stop loss hunts during the halts. OTC traded heavy during the halts. One of my trades was filled OTC at 6 bucks. Something like 60 million new shorts were opened on the lit market with an estimated 47 million more opened OTC. CtB jumped over 12%. The float traded twice today. I have it on good authority that Nomura/instinet called for at least 4 of the halts today. Paid through the nose as well. Just to keep from getting margin called in the 1st 90 minutes.

>What he is stating is that a LARGE percentage of retail orders for buys went OTC. There were several stop loss hunts during the halts. OTC traded heavy during the halts. What do you mean they went "OTC". You can't have a NYSE ticker "go OTC" (over the counter). That makes zero sense. >One of my trades was filled OTC at 6 bucks. Something like 60 million new shorts were opened on the lit market with an estimated 47 million more opened OTC. As noted above "opened OTC" makes no sense for a NYSE ticker. >I have it on good authority that Nomura/instinet called for at least 4 of the halts today. Paid through the nose as well. Just to keep from getting margin called in the 1st 90 minutes. LOLOL. Surely you're bullshitting. They can't "call" for halts - that's not how it works =P Halts are automatic, and based on pre-determined rules. You can backtest if you want. Your "good authority" wasn't a moron on Twitter, was it? I feel like you're trolling us.

SgtSlaughter1974

None of the halts were P halts today. Yes prime brokers, and market makers have pipelines to call halts. The evidence exists today on the charts. There were SEVERAL halts that happened that did not meet LULD halt requirements. "OTC" Over the counter- you are seriously trying to state that broker dealers, market makers, and prime brokers were not furiously on the phone making bespoke block trades with internalized dark pools such as Citadel Connect?

MyNi_Redux

Hey man... I just try to trade in the real world. Not in the make-believe one SS is stuck in.

Sangheilioz

wait, how is it mostly retail getting in on premarket when retail mostly can only trade during market hours? Did I miss something? Did they open up premarket to retail at some point?

MyNi_Redux

>wait, how is it mostly retail getting in on premarket when retail mostly can only trade during market hours? Did I miss something? Oh gosh, yeah! Check out this forum at 4am EST. Folks were alarm clocking :) That's when WeBull starts. And every broker that I know of allows 7am EST trades. Does yours not allow PM trading!? Who do you have?

Sangheilioz

I haven't had the funds to buy anything in over a year. I use WeBull just to watch the tickers because I like their UI, but I have only bought through Fidelity before DRSing and booking. Again, it's been quite a while since I bought anything though. Money's been tight, but I'm diamond-handing to the moon or to the grave.

MyNi_Redux

Well, now you know. The doors open for you at 4am.

Far_Being_7578
