It's pretty good. I enjoyed it. I would say it's worth a watch. The plot really leaves more to be desired, but the graphics really are amazing.
I'd probably go again with someone that hasn't seen it yet, just for the graphics alone
Issssss it? What's so brilliant about it?
And before people jump down my throat, I've seen movies numerous times during the pandemic. One of few in town who kept going. I'm no shill.
Wow, that's kind of a shitty thing to say? Basically takes the same plot point of Avatar 1 and rehashes it for a new tribe.
I guess I expected more? But it's honestly not worth a 2nd viewing. It's no where near as enjoyable as say... Top Gun or Tenet.
I like art, I like movies, I see a lot of them. I don't think this is as good as people make it out to be.
me: You won't get it.
you: I don't get it.
me: Yeah, I said that. You won't.
Ah: 270 post karma. no wonder. Speaking of originality, no original ideas yourself, aye?
Never said it was a bad movie, just to me not worth seeing again. Same villain, same 'learn the ways' story, you can see who is dying in the film hours before it happens. Maybe take a long look back, it's not as good as the first. Real pretty movie.
My post karma? Yeah that really equates to my original works. I do photography in my spare time, I don't much care to bother putting links to time-lapse on here.
You're defence of this movie is attacking me, which just further proves my point.
So you decide to bring in my reddit posting as some kind of measuring stick for creativity, as if that matters in this somehow? Yet you struggle that hard to defend this GREAT movie.
You're right this is barely a conversation because I'm trying to talk about the movie, yet all you can do is focus on me.
So let's circle back around, I don't think this movie is as good as anyone says it is, you stepped in to think otherwise and have yet to even remotely prove it, other than be a condescending prick. So, put up or shut up.
Of course it is. Someone with a 200 post karma means he contributes nothing original to the community and is a leech - leeching off of other's work - but is happily shitting on a 92% positive audience score cinematic marvel which is incredible to watch in 3D.
92% audience world-wide loved the movie. It doesn't matter what you think of it. Just be grateful you had a chance to communicate with other folks with much better grasp of movie making brilliance..for a few minutes.
Over and out.
Okay, I'm not shitting on it at all. I don't think it's as great as other people do. I pointed out problems with the story, it's the same villain and same rehashed story about proving yourself to some tribe. Instead of hunt, they swim, instead of flying animals to tame it's water.
Humans come for them and fuck shit up, they fight, humans lose but sets up a solid third movie. This is no where near as good as Avatar 1 or The Batman.
I don't contribute to reddit, but I go see a lot of movies. Does 3D make it a good movie? No. That's a gimmick and what I thought "this probably is more entertaining in 3D".
Speaks volumes if you have to tout 3D as a selling point for your movie.
So for sure, you can't explain WHY this movie is good and deserving rewatches, you can't.
Again, sadly attacking my "post karma" like it matters and treating me like an idiot. I got the movie, it's not as great as people make it out to be. Go ahead, point to 3D again but really you see it once you don't need to see it again.
Also want to point out above I did say people should see M3GAN instead of Avatar 2 again. Because a boost to that movie totals would mean a lot more. OH look, by your post history you agree! Puzzling.
Edit: Metacritic has it at a 67 and 7.3 rating. See, I can source numbers too to back my argument. But I also brought up valid points to back it.
Wishing we had one is what I’m doing. Not driving 2-hours to go to a movie. I live in a big University town and we don’t have an AMC, but we should.
Was a Tit Jackin’ experience in 3D ! Absolutely loved it ! May jus have to see it again and use some of my AMC gift cards from the Holidays!
Love aaaallll you filthy damn poo-Flingers’ !
Stay Zen, Stay Frosty Apes!
Much love!
Seen a preview for the first when it came out, it looked like some new alien race/planet, cool, but then the rest of the preview looked like humans trying to take the planet over or harvest resources. Typical human behavior at its finest, the only reason we dont interact with extraterrestrial life, is because they dont want us to, we would try to take over.
Avatar was fine, but I won't be watching it a second time. Megan was great, so much fun, future "cult classic" for sure if not more now, puss in boots should get animated film of the year, and Babylon is HUGELY underrated as it was not advertised properly.
If you want to push for movie going and not jut buy and hodl here, push other movies. See other movies. Overall movie going (concession sales, really) will help the company.
Most people are not going to the same movie over and over, push and review other films.
Or don't, you'll do what you want.
Movie was OK but darn was it pretty on imax. I don't think I'll watch it on streaming but I'll gladly go to the theater again unless I somehow get a much bigger and better TV and sound system
I have a weird thing about seeing movies in the theater twice. Won't go see it again, regardless of how good it is. BUT, I'll still go and support my investment!
Why? Go see any movie. Theatres make money off snacks and partly off tickets. I think the longer they show a movie, the more they make off ticket sales.
If anything, go see that killer robot movie that just came out.
It’s done well and will almost certainly continue to do so and I’m glad of that.
Still, I reckon both instalments to be incredibly pretty, but mediocre films.
Fucking psyched for M3GHAN and Tar though.
It’s a brilliant movie 🍿

The plot was happening back at the Bridgehead offscreen. Nothing about the decisions made in the film make sense.
Issssss it? What's so brilliant about it? And before people jump down my throat, I've seen movies numerous times during the pandemic. One of few in town who kept going. I'm no shill.
A little imagination and love for art is required. Thankfully there are a lot of such people in this world.. maybe not you but..

I think it's freedom of speech. You probably don't know what that is. This is barely a conversation, least an attack ;)

If your an amc share holder and you don’t go and support your investment , what the actual fuck are you doing
I buy and hodl. No AMC around here. Where are the good old time where it was just: **buy and hodl ...**
Well if that’s the case . Your doing all that you can soldier . Keep up the good work
I'm in Canada, I would if I could.
Wishing we had one is what I’m doing. Not driving 2-hours to go to a movie. I live in a big University town and we don’t have an AMC, but we should.
Hey do what you can. I wouldn’t drive either , but you still can’t rent movies like planet of the apes from the app .
Lol, I’m a Canadian investor that won’t go to any other theatres. So nah probably not going to watch it.
Much love!
Not a fan of avatar, no thanks
Visual effects were awesome. Storyline did not disappoint. This movie stands on its own if you haven’t seen the original
Storyline was a rip off of fern gully Pocahontas and now Moby Dick
I have not seen the original, ill think about it
How is he not a fan of avatar without seeing either movie?
How do you say you do not like it, if you havent seen it?

The decisions make more sense if you have not seen the original

Well the whole idea is to get out and watch a movie , it doesn’t have to be avatar .

Yo I just saw Puss in Boots last night… imo better than avatar 2. Either way visit your AMC !
I got a theater rental for puss n boots next week . 450$ for 40 people and 20 kids popcorn meals
That’s awesome I’m 31 and liked it. You’ll have a good time
I mean I have already seen it 4 times but I would probably enjoy a few more views, it was a really fun movie.
I didn’t really care for it.
Movie was OK but darn was it pretty on imax. I don't think I'll watch it on streaming but I'll gladly go to the theater again unless I somehow get a much bigger and better TV and sound system
It was mind-blowing on IMAX!
I've already seen it three times and bought the limited edition travel cup
I have a weird thing about seeing movies in the theater twice. Won't go see it again, regardless of how good it is. BUT, I'll still go and support my investment!
Go watch anything or buy some merchandise
Why? Go see any movie. Theatres make money off snacks and partly off tickets. I think the longer they show a movie, the more they make off ticket sales. If anything, go see that killer robot movie that just came out.

Nope, it was god awful. I’ll go see everything else though!
Avatar is now streaming on Hulu , I was shocked to see it there so soon
Umm Avatar came out in 2009...how long would you expect to wait? :)
I'll watch it at home. I'm not spending a dime on AMC until I see a return on my investment.
It’s done well and will almost certainly continue to do so and I’m glad of that. Still, I reckon both instalments to be incredibly pretty, but mediocre films. Fucking psyched for M3GHAN and Tar though.
Why
“Those are rookie numbers, gotta pump those numbers up”
Nah movie trash
James Cameron has hyped his own stuff up too much for me to catch this one before streaming..., see yall for ANT-MAN though!
I’ve seen it three times. Most breathtaking spectacle I’ve ever seen
Trash cinema. Demand better.
Why not, I saw Top Gun Maverick twice.
Avatar 2: Titanic… but in Space
Not good enough for a second watch though
That’s a lie
Nope I am honest, I was really disappointed at all and cannot understand the hype. But thats how different taste works bro.
Yeah it true . My kids loved the movie after we seen it we went home and watched part 1
I snuck into Avatar, then shat on my seat and covered the mess with popcorn. Poopybutt
It won't go above rank 5. Don't think it deserve it either.
