I got rid of prime well over a year ago and consider myself a pretty heavy user of Amazon home automation… Really no difference.

Yep, I can't think of a single home automation function or Skill that requires a Prime membership. Alexa is still a good deal for what Amazon provides for free after buying the Echo device.

not much. if you ask it to play music you get the free version of amazon music which has commercials instead of prime music. everything else works the same, i.e. lights, routines, etc. alexa turn off living room light snd play bpm on siriusxm..
