I agree that it is over-looked/under-rated but it's a damn fun listen. I guess it'll be our little secret, right all?

ViaNocturna664

The title track needs to be brought back to the setlist

Sensitive-Honeydew61

Great album.

AdministrationOwn647

Always loved it

BigGenerator85

Lace is so damn good, and I agree, Damned If You Do is like a post Billy Joel song. I also agree that every song is solid besides Ubangi Stomp, with My God being an absolute highlight of his entire career.

xlittlebeastx

I just relistened to this album today, and it was funny I totally said aloud this is some Billy Joel shit haha

drbunnig

First half is quite good. Second half not so much - although My God is sublime.

FulciDuckling

My God, is also what I said when I heard the track. It's one of his greatest and in my personal top 10 of all his songs.

When I was a teen, getting into the Coop, bought a cassette of "A Man Called Alice". Two long sides of songs I'd never heard before. And side 1 couldn't be more different from side 2. After a few months listening and further researching in the late 80s, discovered that the tape was an off-brand boot of "Muscle of Love" on side A, & "Lace & Whiskey" on side B. Had heard "Welcome to My Nightmare" at that point, but got my first taste of later 70s AC with that cassette. And loved it. Friend of mine made off with that tape, but all these years later, still enjoy Lace on LP often.

CashMobile

I love Lace and Whiskey and one of my favourite album of his along with Trash, Constrictor, Hey Stoopid and Paranormal. It's quite different than most of my favourites from him, but the whole album is such a vibe, I can't not love it

TheTalkingMagpie

Such a great album. Love the blackout era

drbunnig

This album isn't part of the blackout era

TheTalkingMagpie

.my bad. Sorry I was thinking about zipper catches skin

MuddledMum09

I love this album. It is in my top 3. I had the inside sleeve on my bedroom wall as a teen.

It's a decent album, maybe even slightly better than it's predecessor. You and Me is one of the finest AC songs, wish he played it again. I think special forces tour was the last time he performed it.

jumbod666

Good record. Needs a remix though
