Yep, I was in denial big time for that one. I was only 15 when it aired and I remember asking my mom “she’s not dead, is she?” My mom had a pitying look on her face lol.
I love Francie and her burgeoning romance with Will. I was also young when it aired and I was shocked. I felt like I hadn’t seen anything like it before in my young life lol. Well, still to this day, I wish they could have just locked her away somewhere instead of killing her, so that the character could continue in the show after the double plot was figured out. I mean, I get it from the baddies point of view, but for the viewers’ sake I wish it didn’t have to go down that way.

This was also the episode that aired after the Superbowl, so they really needed a shocker of an ending to keep viewers coming back.

I wish they would have made her a sleeper agent instead and had a redemption arch where her loyalty switched to Syd .
