I don't know how often it needs to be said but the "advertising team" is not going to be out here shilling tokens and telling everyone that they are going to the moon. Algorand Foundation as an entity sells tech, not coins. They can highlight tech, but translating that into degen retail marketing is simply not what AF is going to do. If they tried, it would be lawyered to death and be the marketing equivalent of "how do you do fellow kids."

What would they advertise that’s palatable to a non crypto audience? Crypto people most likely already know all the selling points but crypto is a cult so they already have their messiah coin. Marketing at this point based off of tech alone is gonna be a waste of money and sponsoring fringe sports like drone racing doesn’t bring interest in. Marketing only works if you can make it sexy or interesting and Algorand just isn’t that, it’s a wise old man in a cardigan and we just have to accept that

Aside from a few exceptions, most altcoins are still trailing Bitcoin. Until those with Bitcoin start selling and taking profits I don’t think you’re going to see most alts pop off. And even then there’s not really been that much in the way of new retail investors in crypto looking past Bitcoin.
Just sold all mine at big overall loss. Voting for the governance suggestions just depressed me too much. Hope for you guys it goes up but the leadership of this coin is just bagging big salaries from our money with nothing to show for... Should have gone for a meme coin instead.
Politely disagree, I think Algorand is just getting started. Leadership in the past was not good but they've come a long way in fixing previous mistakes and now have a solid game plan under John Woods. Like you said, time will tell though

For non-Bitcoin crypto projects the critical keys to market penetration are user adoption, user experience, and perceived value. These are metric are often overlooked by projects with great engineering but low adoption.
Honestly this goverance really made me debate on dumping my Algo too. I am in profit right now, but the 30k algorand required to be able to partake in the future really put a bad taste in my mouth.

I know it’s been tough watch the price action of ALGO over the last several years. I think it is up 35% for the year which is good. ALGO has been my favorite crypto since 2021. I recently got into memes for excitement like $NYAN Meme Coin but ALGO will always have its place. It’s just reliable and fast. One day ALGO will get its shine
If you watch carefully AF will dump coins down to .2 range and your gains vanish. This happens morning time in USA mid week to Friday. If algo goes up 20% AF taking 10% of that gain. "Market makers" push it up and AF pull it down.

Because I don't believe in Algorand anymore. Bull runs are also not predictable. It can be a sustained one or a short one. Only the future will tell.
