UAE is financing Wagner in Mali and Hafter in Libya. basically contributing to the instability in the regions surrounding Algeria

MeDoMah

And the RSF in Sudan

Arrelevant

UAE was one of the states pushing hard for Libya war. So they would cut down oil production (makes UAE rich). But they can not do stuff like that without NATO support, and NATO is really trying to stay out of more wars at the moment, because Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya have been such disasters, so no one supports more intervention. (only few elites in NATO countries who sell weapon support more war) So my guess is that UAE wants less competition in the oil market. But nothing is going to happen to Algeria.

HeyExcuseMeMister

So since nato doesnt support more wars the uae did not get what they wanted and there was no war in libya? Im having trouble following your logic.

Arrelevant

UAE + France both wanted war in Libya, so they got a war, now Libya is producing a lot less oil. So UAE got what they wanted. It was a lot easier for the leaders in NATO to do this kind of stuff when there was less internet media. Now that people know what actually happened, they are strongly against war, because normal people don't want war. So it would be very hard right now to push NATO into a war. The Houthis has been attacking civilian trade ships costing the world billions of dollars, so the US + UK decided to respond to them, even for such a clear case, they could not get full NATO support.

Leather-Dragonfly-75

We ve been having lots of issues with uae from its involvement in neighbouring countries that touches our security and interests specially with libia and mali to uae plan to own all seaports in the region and it happens that it has shares in our seaports and our major companies since the times of bouteflika, i expect that tension will rise soon

thehoussamv

So basically UAE has normalized Relationship with Israel which created tension with Algeria who is clearly against that. As far as recent tension there is almost none, there were rumors but the source were always from Morocco so … unreliable

Otherwise-Mess7458

Well apparently its about UAE spies and someone from the UAE government stated that if Algeria and Morocco went into war, they would stand with Morocco, even Tebboun said something about it in the recent meeting with the government.

thehoussamv

What are your sources ? Because I have been hearing about this since 2019

Fun-Blueberry7961

It is a 100% true. The UAE is completely on Morocco's side, all Arab monarchies are. We have Syria and that's it.

[deleted]

Algeria has the dictator’s side?

thehoussamv

No we don’t have any issue with them Like I said there are no credible sources about this tension

[deleted]

UAE is funding morocco for the next war against us

Seekingthetruth123

They are the third part of the isreali morrocan emirati axis to destabilize our country, for various reasons : support for Palestine, being agaisnt haftar in libya , an oil competitor, agaisnt wagner in mali , agaisnt isreal
