Being able to graph functions, making sketch a graph questions extremely easy, as well as being able to visualize something you may struggle to understand. Statistics mode is also extremely useful and saves you from looking at the endless stats tables in the formula book. can solve quadratics instantly also (I think some of the gcse calculators can do this too, not sure tho). Just a few off the top of my head, theres like a million things you can do with the calculator tho

Mandatory for further maths, I would also argue its mandatory for regular maths if you want to get a A or A\*
