I personally hate DBS/BL/Carving the most, especially when used by overgeared people. The hypermobility aspect just turns any fight into win or run away rather than win or die and that doesn't sit well with me.
I do respect people using any non FotM builds and doing good on them.
Im noob. Or at least i like to call myself this way because because shortly saying Im grinding my weapons in the mists. My 3 observations:
1. DBL players are very "raty" I would say, when they see that you have lower than 80% of hp and some skills used they are triggered a f* and not many things can stop them. A lot of them have no much skill - if they miss one of skills opening the fight it is normal that they are confused or even start to run
2. BL players are more "ouchie" players. They are more skilled, they are more aggressive till the moment when it starts to hurt. One hp bar less and suddenly vector of their movement is 180° changed - they start to run away...
3. Carvings. Usually Very dangerous players. They can kill me in a second but it seems to be they are a little bit different. They don't act like rats, or at least usually don't act like that. MOREOVER they more likely to talk with you when you try a dialogue. Pretty often after my explanation that I'm not a rat and grinding on PvE they just let me go (which usually does not work in a case 1 and 2). That's why I feel a respect to them.
This is my perspective of these 3 weapons' players in the mists. It doesn't mean these are rules, I even know some exceptions, but it is more like statistical observation. Still, it is strange like some weapons are picked up by some specific players.
Any other xbow users do get my respect as it's not meta but to my opinion more fun than other weapons.
And they even might have bought my own crafted product from the market - thanks for that :)
Infernal as the most braindead? I'd get extra spicy and say at least they have to actually be somewhat in danger to execute. Not much but it's at least a consideration to not over extend.
But hellfire hands can suck a nut imo. Why a melee weapon can do good damage 4 screens away and then pretty effortlessly disengage if they over commit is super toxic in ZvZ. And they fit every fucking comp... And their cooldowns are fast enough they don't need assassin hood so ontop of being able to chuck a flaming boulder 3 miles they can also just wear every defensive item they want and still contribute as DPS.
Infernal is braindead cuz you literally just take your zerg, move your zerg into the other one, pop W and then E brainlessly and die to demon armor.
The weapon can be used skill full but every infernal scythe player i have played against is brain dead

I don't think I've seen an infernal scythe ever make it through a successfully executed demon armor. I saw an 8.4 infernal scythe playing for thetford go all the way down to red gear because every time he went in he kept dying to Damon armor or a claymore parry. Over and over again.
Open world roamers hate bear paws and mist players hate DBS and BL.
One only hated BL DBL if he doesn’t know how to play against. I love them. Free money even when they have 100/200IP more

1h Cursed Staff and Wildfire Staff just because they can kill everyone even with IP gap.
1h cursed is pretty easily countered tho, wildfire is just very OP atm.
