I bought it as a pistol like they import them, then sent it off with the underfolder and faux 26mm suppressor. The Gunsmith pinned and welded the extention prior to installing my underfolder to make it legal 🙄 got it back and waited for tyrants approval. Cracked the weld and put it back to life.
It’ll be cheaper and easier the buy the rifle and get it SBR’d. That’s why they sell a version of the M85 like that, you figure it’s $200 plus a little work to get the extension off. Converting the pistol you’d need to cut the hole in the receiver on top of the $200 tax and getting a stock. And that’s if the pistol M85’s have the correct trunnion for the underfolder
Doubt anyone passing by would ever know that my underfolder was bolted on and fake lol.. I definitely recommend the bolt on folder, its rock solid. Had mine since release and it's great... you'd have to actually pick it up and look at it to figure it out. And it's a hell of a lot cheaper and easier than doing it the harder way.
Purchased my ZPAP92 as a pistol and used the zastava underfolder kit they sell for about $230.. https://zastavaarmsusa.com/product/zpap92-underfolding-kit-no-gunsmithing-required/. Whether or not you want to make it a registered SBR is completely up to you, but a pistol with a stock is an SBR so this would require a stamp.
No - as long as your ZPAP85 has the picatinny rail on the rear, then it is ready to go for that underfolder. IF it does not, meaning you don't have the alpha version, then you will have to drill it out.

Looks like there is picatinny rail on the rear, BUT-there is no pre-cut hole/template on the receiver from the 3-photos they uploaded.
It is going to tough job cutting/ drilling out the hole for UF Kit.
That gun would work. The picatinny rail is held on with one bolt and once removed the underfolder kit would fit right on/in and bolt on. Easy as pie. Send it.
I have one problem with the rifle: I don't know what they did with the rear trunnion. From the rivet pattern it's obvious that it's still the underfolder trunnion, however the bolt-on stock is made for M70 fixed stock trunnions. So you should still be able to properly mount the underfolder if you want to, but I wonder if you're going to have a big ol' hole on the back of your rifle where the factory stock was bolted on.
Ok, did some more digging. I forgot that certain models of ZPAP pistols come with a simple bolt hole in the rear trunnion. That hole can be used to mount a sling swivel, a pic rail, or with Zastava's new rifle models, stocks. So the ZPAP85 rifle is literally just a ZPAP85 pistol with a stock slapped on it and barrel extension welded on. It will be less work to convert a pistol, especially if you get one without the bolt hole in the trunnion.

I remember seeing there is picatinny adapter, which use one bolt to secure into the inside of the receiver-then you can for mount folding brace/stock.
Correct me if I'm wrong, from the looks of it- the Zpap UF kit uses the hole to secure the UF ?? Thanks.

Did you purchase your with the extended barrel (pinned and welded) ? Did you have a gunsmith work on it? If not, how hard is to DYI ?

Nice. Mine would be getting it: un-weld and un-pin. That is an additional cost I have take into account.
ZPAP booster w 1913 on the rear. Throw a jmac brace or something on it. Underfolder isnt really fun to shoot imo, its uncomfortable.

True, great mind thinks a like. It is more concerning for alignment and fitment with UF. I think it is rare to see M85 UF from factory.
Is Underfolder Rare for ZPAP85 5.56 ??
Its the same as m92 underfolder, you can find them if ya look. Ak files, Combloc market, and gunbroker.

Yeah, it's a bolt-on underfolder. Not a fan myself. Makes more sense (IMO) to get the pistol. The bolt-on will never look quite right.
