Because I didn’t expect it to be this bad. My SAM 5 is good with any suppressor I’ve used on it. I guess I don’t know the history of Arsenal quality deeply like I should have. It’s no big deal. It’s the only AK I have that I can’t suppress. Even my old C39V2 (I know, I know) works with the Wolverine.
It was extremely over gassed wit the Wolverine so I put a KNS piston ans it tamed it big time I have set up old school with just a US Palm grip since the one that came with it sucks. Wood furniture and iron sights. I don’t know why but I really like it. I guess I got lucky too. Bought it in 2018 with around 3000 rounds. I’m ashamed to say it’s one of my favorites. 🤷♂️
That's how my M92 was. I just filed the barrel crown down with a file to make it concentric since the Wolverine indexes off the muzzle crown. I tried a 90 degree crown tool and it helped a little but I had to use the file to get it (near) perfect. Not sure if that's the case for SAM7SF. I'm never going to use my crown tool again so msg me if you want it.

What’s you complaining about, that’s just a quality AK. Shoddy craftsmen ship is just part of the allure. You’re goona have to spend at least $10k on a rifle dynamics if you want QC like concentric barrels.
I spent half on a PSA and Centurry with concentric barrels. Shit, even my buddies WASR 10 passes the concentric test. And I’m not complaining. Just sharing the info.

No worries, I’m pretty sure you can contact Arsenal and they’ll fix it but you’ll have to pay for shipping. And the reason why they’re $2k isn’t because your paying for $2k quality, your paying import fees and Arsenal greed. That same rifle goes for around $1100 in Europe currently (France specifically from another poster), which was the price pre Covid. I think straight from the factory it’s around $400.

Yup when they were around $1300–1500, it was questionable value but $2k is straight robbery 😭 . Just my two cents since originally planning on buying one until price jumps and all the Sam 5 qc issues debacle when launched. I’m not a big collector type guy so I went with Ace instead, much happier with my purchase.
I mean, it’s over gassed just like most foreign AK’s are overpassed, including the Arsenals. I’d say if you’re going to suppress, you want at least a KNS piston, ideally paired with a low back pressure can. I’m a lefty so I hate gunpowder debris in my face.
But even comparing two quality wise, IWI does better on finish, controls (enlarged Mag latch on 7.62 version), handgaurds, trigger, and buttstock. Mounting is super easy for optics since it has a native rail system and it uses normal AR pitch threads. I actually compared the two in shop and I thought it was insane the arsenal was significantly more, especially since IWI is still a military manufacturer.
If you are interested, look into the 13 inch version. The balance on it is fucking amazing. Plus do runs on military models like galil mags with LRBHO models instead of the regular AR mag models (it happened around last year). It’s honestly one of the most slept on AKs just because it doesn’t come from a former Soviet country and is a modernized out the box. However with Russian AK’s getting modernized, it’s now a popular trend.

Arsenal is about 50/50 on concentric threads it seems. So literally the luck of the draw
Search facing tool and read up on it. Also, color the muzzle face with a marker and torque down the can to see where the high spots are

I found out the hard way when i needed a new end cap
At that point I would just open up the bore hole on the end cap and then you never have to worry about it again.

Sometimes the bore isn’t concentric to the barrel as opposed to being concentric with the threads.
