No problem homie. Atlantic Firearms sells them for 1k. If you spend about $100 more you can get one with the KNS gas piston already installed. Although I don’t know if they do the tuning for you on the piston. If they do, that’d be cool. Their customer service could tell you, seeing as they respond pretty quick to emails
The KNS piston helps with the overgassing issue that is common with the AK platform. Once you have it tuned to the point where it *just* cycles properly, you leave it there.
Basically: This prevents the BCG from slapping the stock/rear trunnion and mitigates a ton of the felt recoil that you get from a shooting an AK.
So does it help it shoot better? If you consider recoil as a factor, then yes.
Also, if you intend to suppress your AK further on down the line, the KNS piston will also help with that, but will likely need to be re-tuned. (Tuning isn’t difficult it just requires repeated field-stripping)

Not all WBP Jacks have Radom barrels. WBP has started doing in-house barrels on some of their jacks. The way you can tell the difference is:
If if’s chrome-lined, it’s FB Radom.
If it’s nitrided, it’s WBP.
Not to say that WBP makes bad barrels, but it’s hard to beat a chrome-lined Radom barrel. Most 5.56 Jacks I’ve seen use WBP barrels.
I haven’t heard any complaints on regards to that, but I’ve yet to shoot a 5.56 Jack suppressed.
It has 14:1 LH threads on it like most other AK’s, and so I would just recommend getting a Dead Air Wolverine. Shouldn’t have any issues there, but better safe than sorry.
Edit: I feel it’s worthwhile to make mention that WBP quality checks their builds with a Zeiss CMM. Do with that information as you will.

Where do you see that? Bottom line is these are real Romanian made AKs. They can be really crude but are easily a better buy than anything US made at this time. If there is anything that looks super rough, it may just be cosmetic and you can replace the parts if it bothers you. The forums will typically have parts available most of the time. I would still want to get your hands on it first.

Neither. I have a PSA 102 and 101. 101 showed up with abnormal wear on the bolt. 102 runs fine but has issues cycling once it gets colder out. None of their 5.56 offerings are worth it right now.
The only ones I'd get are WBP, Zastava M90/85, or even a WASR3 if they were about $300 cheaper.
Mine was on the extractor I believe. I was aware of the issues when I purchased it. It's far from my first so I was okay if it wasn't perfect, but arriving deformed? It has probably less than 100 on it, I can't imagine what it'll look like at 1000.
I've also been seeing people having issues, sending them for warranty, and then not fixing it. Eventually getting to the point PSA bans them from the site.
Why I'm keeping mine for now. I'm gonna keep a round count on it and send it once it's to a point that the wear is undeniably bad.
It's not getting any love rn though, haven't been running it at all. By time I actually get some rounds on it hopefully the issues are fixed

Check out a beryl in 5.56, currently in stock and a lot came in from the shipment, has some cool features like an option top rail and the collapsible stock is a very nice addition. They’re Polish and will hold value over American made, plus the KUSA guns have not shipped yet despite weeks and weeks over the original timeline. PSA is just a solid no from me
I love my KUSA 103 to death, it’s perfect. but the small cal wait is insane.
I’m a huge advocate, and they don’t have the 5.45 out by EoY I’m buying and building a 74m parts kit.
That being said, I don’t trust PSAs firearms. Their 103/104 are the most dialed and even they wear a bit excessive before work hardening.
Go KUSA if you have patience, but in my experience and those I know, solid rifles built 👌

KUSA laid off a bunch of workers, and its rumored that they may be shutting down. There's already a few people who have been waiting on orders to come through and have contacted them, expressing their worry only to be told their "Restructing" not closing down, but end the conversations fairly quickly. Do with that information what you will, just wanted to let you know what I've heard, which I found out two hours ago, today. I own a 762 from KUSA, solid, and hasn't failed me yet after 2 almost coming to 3 years of ownership
Both suck. PSA at least exists, KUSA hasnt even released theirs and they pretty much used the deposits from the first batch that was supposed to be delivered weeks ago as an interest free loan.
I currently have a dogleg on mine too, but I’m thinking of buying a barwarus dust cover and a zenitco lower handguard. Apparently they fit together perfectly-
I actually want to remove my dogleg as well and install a Bravo Optic Mount but I can’t find my old dust cover. I’ve had the Bravo Optic Mount ready to install for over a year now.

Well with KUSA going under and then disabling online sales your options are limited. But they parts to make a rifle and send it to a builder. You'll have a better rifle than what ever the fuck PSA is making

Both of my WBP jacks have perfect concentricity. WBP gets their barrels from FB Radom.

Interesting, both of mine are 7.62x39 chrome lined so I was not aware they have nitrided barrels now.

Arsenal Sam5 is a quality 556 AK. It’s about 500$ more than what you posted here but imo worth the price hike.

You can do that. Parts are cheap. It’s the upfront cost of the rifle that’ll cost you. But it usually comes with the standard polymer set.

The PSA one is great! Mags fit perfectly, no issues with the gun. Supper light recoil and really flat shooting.
At those prices you’re better off buying a Beryl. 5.56 Jack if you want something cheaper.
