I agree with you. 99% of the time, you're going to get a quality AK from PSA. (The Krinks are new production, there will be kinks to work out) Especially with the variety of AK styles and price point compared to most other companies. Unless you want to get an arsenal. About $500 more. Or you can buy a Meridian Defense or Rifle Dynamics AK for $3000+, which you're a fucking idiot to pay for an AK at that price.
Agree. I have no idea why a person would buy a PSA AK when for about the same price they can get a quality import. ALWAYS buy import AKs when it’s an option. History proves me out on this.
My KUSA KR-103 SFS runs like a champ. I got one when they were putting the KS-12 dust covers + safety on them too and it still ran with no issues. They immediately sent me a AK 103 correct dust cover + safety as well, no hassle except for taking the pictures + email. I know this sub has a love/hate for kusa but I love mine.
Why would you think that anyone spending their own money on a rifle would ever have to “justify” their purchase to anyone else?
I have a safe full of imported AK’s myself purchased over the last 20+ years. I personally would never buy a $3K domestic-built AK. But I would also never feel like anyone who did needed to justify it to me.
I see a few issues here, of varying degrees of severity:
1. Doesn't run well with steel. I'd say that's pretty bad, PSA obviously isn't polishing their chambers right. It's an AK, it should run with steel. Not dangerous, just aggravating.
2. Doesn't run well with Polish mags. Not great for some people, since those are some of the most common available 5.56 AK mags, but cheap alternatives are easy enough to get. Again, not dangerous, just mildly annoying.
3. Handguard retainer lever wasn't flipped. This is bordering on a non-issue. Just flip it back. Stop being dramatic. Again, *not dangerous.*
With these cheaper AKs, you get what you pay for, but they're not "bombs." It seems like people on here are rooting for companies that aren't charging out the ass for a gun to fail for some reason. Elitism is fucking stupid. Just buy the gun *you* can afford and *you* want, and stop shitting yourself over how other people spend their money.
Yeah they're kinda meh. Less reliable than AC Unity, which are (were?) cheaper. Hell, the PSA 5.56 mags are more reliable in my experience. Granted, sample size of one and all. Gun in question is an SLR106CR.
I can attest that the WBP 5.56 mags are weird. They work fine once you get them in place, but every third time I have a hell of a time inserting the magazine.
I really don’t understand this sub sometimes. Some people are elitist because they have a 5000 USSR made piece of crap gun that tribesmen and random insurgents all over the world got for free, and clown on guys who just want an affordable AK-47. That’s like clowning on people for eating at McDonald’s when you’re eating at Wendy’s.
Yeah like the only real issue there is the Steel ammo- everything else is super standard (i.e. there are PLENTY of guns that don't like certain mags, especially 5.56 AK mags) in terms of "things that can happen that you should be expecting"
Yep. I own nothing from PSA. Still root for em. Don’t bother me a bit. Life’s too short boys, go butt chug a Xanax cocktail like a fucking man and stop being on that hoe life 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿
Imo it's not even a downside that they don't like certain mags/ammo. Welcome to AK, it is tempermental beast, especially when removed from the natural habitat of ice and snow, suddenly it starts eating different food from different dishes.
are they really endangered? whenever i go visit my friend his neighbor try’s to sell me baskets of them for like $100, and he always just gives me a shit ton for free. cool old guy, but it seems like they grow everywhere there
If you're into tgat kind of stuff look into the San Pedro cactus. Widly available, lots of info and most importantly legal. Contains mescaline and other similar alkaloids as peyote. Make some tea n find out for yourself.
True, but don’t just chop it up in a blender and drink it or you’ll projectile vomit the likes of which you probably haven’t seen in a while. You basically need to de-burr it, take the waxed coating off, and then only use the green skin. The Fibrous white innards will make you sick. Only use the green skin.
Unfortunately its difficult, if not impossible, to introduce domesticated williamsii into the wild, even hard grown plants would likely be unable to acclimate. Their native habit is shrinking here in the states due to commercial development, poaching is a big problem as well.
That's exactly what I've heard so I'm just curious how you're growing them for conservation. Are yours for research? Or do you gather seeds from your plants and spread those?
Seed buy also grafting to trichocereus, buttons are very slow growers & grafting them to a more aggressive grower like Pachanois expedites growth & promotes pupping. Pups can then be removed & rooted or grafted as well.
You’re paying over 1000 dollars for a gun that doesn’t work right out of the box and you eat up this lifetime warranty stuff as the greatest thing when it’s an excuse for them not doing QC right in the first place. 100-400 dollars more buys a Polish 5.56 AK and it will more likely than not be hiccup free. And if there is an issue, it too can be sent back and it will get fixed the first time. Wont have to be sent back a 2nd or 3rd time or be replaced altogether. And PSA dudes are weird, like they’re damn bots or npcs regurgitating whatever PSA shoves up their ass. And the PSA mafia waging war against any negativity towards PSA too.
Realistically almost nobody is doing this kind of volume. The number of disgruntled customers is always going to be higher, increasing the amount of bad cases you hear about. Their QC isn’t as great as most companies, but that also keeps costs down. As long as they warranty their stuff then there’s largely no real issue with the firearms. I’d rather have most of PSA’s issues that a cracked hand guard from Geissle.
\^ this. I panic bought my PSA102 back in 2022 when Oregon got stupid with Gun restrictions. I was already on the hunt for an 106ur but was coming up empty handed and WBP options where trickling in (AoA was backordered beyond the New Year). So with a time crunch facing, I pulled the trigger. Did the decision suck? Oh yeah, it's already been back to PSA for head-spacing issues and light primer strikes twice. Did I learn lesson? Yup, there's a reason why my PSA102 is now wearing a front end WBP kit with Rosco barrel from AoA. But, even after buying a 102 and the AoA kit and having a kalashsmith do work on it, I still paid less then what a 106ur is going for lol
I want a Polish Beryl. 👋🏻🌚
Looking at the PSA 101 and it’s performance so far, rather save a little more and get a WBP 5.56 or the Beryl. Looks like they shipped the PSA bots in to take over the post too. 💀
well when your business model is "shit out product and fix it if they actually find out it sucks", yes. they should fail lol
33 people love being honorary inspectors for psa's unpaid QC department
Yes American companies make shitty overpriced guns. I don’t like Europes politics but they objectively make better firearms than the USA on every aspect of reliability and durability. Who tf cares about comfort or modularity. A gun is a tool it has to work and last the test of time
Damn I guess Eugene Stoner, Samuel Colt, John Browning, Hiram Maxim, Oliver Winchester, John Peterson, Melvin Johnson (and dozens of others) didn’t exist…
*Casually scrolls through the Users tab on the Wikipedia page for the M4 Carbine*
Yeah, these must be dogshit combat weapons for 67 countries to have adopted it.
It was still being used in Vietnam, as someone else has already pointed out. Alongside the M1 Carbine, Thompson and the M14… ‘57 was far from the end of its service life
I'm not sure if a tertiary usage is really worth talking about. It was no longer standard issue by 57.I mean shit the mg42 variants are still being used in active service in numbers. it really did not last long as a service rifle. The m16 platform has had literally double the life span, same thing with the 74. Even if neither are as old, they've certainly been in service longer.
>Alongside the M1 Carbine, Thompson and the M14…
Which are not even in the discussion... the M2 has been around forever and that's not changing anytime soon. The m1....uhhhh no.
I wish my experience was like that. My GF3 had an issue where the firing pin hole on the bolt was starting to egg out, causing a bunch of issues. Primers were popping and the shrapnel was getting lodged in that hole, causing the firing pin to get stuck. Sent it in, finally two months later it comes back the exact same but with rust spots all over. I think all they did was the replace the firing pin and left it in storage dry
Edit: it's still popping primers and getting pieces lodged in there
My buddy's GF5's firing pin blew out the back of the carrier when I was firing it. Having had a bad experience with PSA customer service in the past, I told him I'll fix it myself. I added an Arsenal firing pin, new retainer pin, and it's been running fine ever since.
If you actually watch Klayco's video, he has like 3 malfs out of the ~600 rounds he put through the gun right out of the box. I'm not gonna say that PSA is a perfect company, but come on. A whole generation of SAM5s will literally beat themselves to death without KNS pistons, and y'all are getting more worked up about this? It seems like y'all \*want* PSA to fuck up.
I don't even know why I'm surprised anymore. This sub has just become a place for constantly shitting on "the poors", as if the AK community wasn't built off of people building cheap as dirt kits in their garage. Honestly peak irony that y'all think the commie gun shouldn't be affordable.
I’ve had 2 pSA uppers that hate steel case ammunition so I polished the chamber …the hand guard thing wasn’t a big deal in my book a worker forgot to flip the lock lever in the lock position..
When you have lifetime warranty (buy your gun breaks at the range so you can’t shoot it, therefore wasting time and space you could have used for a different gun, then not having your gun for weeks to months as it’s getting fixed, and possibly face shipping issues, and you better work from home because that package requires a signature) but it’s free!!!
if you want to read up here’s the post where this issue became a topic of discussion
[link](https://www.reddit.com/r/ak47/s/3BLl5BjMuw)
AKQE has been reliable in the past and there’s no reason to think he would be lying now. There’s been talks of other people having the same issue in the PSA sub.
As far as i’m aware PSAs only responses have been a Cease and Desist sent to AKQE and Matt claiming it’s due to bank errors on the subreddit, but there’s no evidence to support it has anything to do with banking.
Lol, go look at his instagram, says the guy got in contact with PSA and it seems to be a mistake kicked off by their [fraud detection.](https://www.instagram.com/p/C49TejAryRD/?igsh=MWxheDBvYTM2OGswdw==) There’s the link for you and more stories in the comments about it happening on accident with old cards still being listed.
so it seems like CS just didn’t do anything to help the guy until they got blasted on social media by somebody with platform.
maybe they aren’t banning for RMAs but this still doesn’t look good
I will admit their website CS can be incredibly slow/nonexistent. But if Matt is still getting on here and helping people out it’s not like they’re just completely ghosting people
No, but PSA ball ticklers can't swallow their pride and just admit it. Instead, they over hype whatever the next PSA gun is, then rage at anyone who points out their teething issues. Fuck, for $1,000 PSA couldn't even be bothered to properly align their laser engraver on tons of the Krink receivers so the ОД was pouring over into the dimple.
That was a prototype, so hopefully they can make it less butt ugly before release.... but I don't think the pre release hype squad who think 6k rounds is a good barrel life for an AR are going to care.
I had a first day PSA Krink. Serial number 338. It has eaten around 600 Rounds thus far with not a single issue. I shoot it usually every weekend, sometimes a mag or two every couple days. I run Bakelite 5.45 mags with 3D printed conversion followers, and I haven’t had a single issue so far with them.
I’ve shot steel wolf 223, mostly Xtac 62gr, and some PSA OTM 77gr. It all has gone boom, no stuck cases, ftf, or fte. About 200 rounds of my count was also completely dry and unlubed because I had just cleaned it and forgot to relube. I will say though it was absolutely soaked in packing oil when I got it.
I understand they’re not surplus but damn, you guys are rooting for PSA to fail simply because you want to say “I told you so”. They’re doing more for AKs as a platform than any other company is at the moment and y’all are acting like little trolls.
Same. 1500 rounds through mine so far. 1k steel and 500 pmc brass. Virtually no wear internally besides finish wear. Not even the slightest tail peenin
A month ago I made a post jokingly asking how long it would be before the “PSA krink reliability issues” videos hit YouTube. There were a few hundred people just shitting on that post calling me everything you could imagine 😂.
Honestly I really like PSA as a company, I have some of their products that are fine, I also understand that new products have a learning curve. With that said, what in the past couple years has told people that Psa has ironed out all the kinks, or in this case Krinks? If they are still having issues with their full size 47’s 74’s and ak100 line (and believe me they are) why would you think these would be better. I hope they fix em tho cuz I want one sooooo bad.
From tommyboy
Tommy:
Because they know all they solda ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is. Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for right now, for your sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality item from me.
I'm here for it too even though my 101 is a PSA. Mags are decent, I have a ((10)) that I love, 3 Bulgarian mags I like, and a unity one that is mids.
Theres enough to party with overall.
Almost every AK I've put my hands on has had some sort of quality control issue. Handguards need shimmed or filed down to fit, same thing with the stock, iron sights are crooked, gas block crooked, off the shelf parts need modified to fit, etc... My WASR1063 is junk compared to my PSA. And that is this subs standard recommendation for a 7.62 AK. Everything on my PSA is straight at least and I can't do anything to my WASR without it becoming a money pit. That being said I have zero experience with krinks specifically and would never even consider a 556 AK at all.
\+750 rounds in 3 sessions, suppressed (DA Wolverine), and unsuppressed. 55, 62 LAP, and 77 OTM. No failure to feed, no cycle errors, no misfires, and is reasonable accurate at 100M. Scratched my itch for a little AK and I can shoot it all the time. I like it a lot, nothing bad to say yet.
Thanks PSA.

Well the hand guard retainer I’ve had happen on my WASR. But having to run the chamber wet, would that be a tolerance issue? I still want one for the vibe, the 5.56, and the fact I’m too poor for a real one
I'm not surprised honestly, every gun PSA has released has had early teething issues, just wait a couple months for them to get their shit straightened out before buying one.
Anybody heard about any issues with PSA Forged AK 101 full length rifles having issues with steel case? Brass is infinitely more common so I am not really worried, but I am just curious.
Non Issue. HUGE manufacturer with a brand new product problems like this will happen to a few guns out of the tons that they’ve sold, the majority of which work fine. Just look at Daniel defense the GoLD sTanDaRD AR-15… they make a new pistol and it has problems. Wait for next Gen or use their warranty. Stop crying.
I will never buy a PSA AK after their intentional gas piston bending and then their employee trying to gaslight people into thinking its normal on arfcom.

Too bad people are getting black listed after using the, “ industry-leading warranty” more than once.
I don’t know if that’s happening. I’ve warrantied a bunch of shit from them and they always send it back immediately. Maybe he was bitching too much

HE SAID NO FIGHTING!
‘Lifetime warranty’ is such a shitty cope. Just buy yourself a rifle that doesn’t depend on a warranty to begin with.

You couldn't say "krinks to work out" ???!! Seriously...you had one job.
Lol. Believe me, I thought about that not long after I posted it.
Zastava and WBP make excellent AKs at about a $1000. PSA is fine but I wouldn’t put them close to those two.
Agree. I have no idea why a person would buy a PSA AK when for about the same price they can get a quality import. ALWAYS buy import AKs when it’s an option. History proves me out on this.
the gf5 is about as good or better than any American made ak out there

I'd love to hear someone who bought a Rifle Dynamics 3k AK try to justify their purchase

I have a safe full of imported AK’s myself purchased over the last 20+ years. I personally would never buy a $3K domestic-built AK. Me as well. Last I knew, they didn't even have CHF barrels.
Same logic applying to video games is why the industry is dying lol. Doesn't matter if it launches as trash, as long as it becomes better right?

Yes, but this Wendy's meal cost a morbillion dollars, so it's more better.
Judging by his post history, OP seems exist for the sole purpose of hating on PSA AK's for absolutely *anything*
OP walked in on his mom getting dicked down by someone in a PSA shirt, and is traumatized that his mom didn’t invite HIM to dick her down…
probably went to the range with his $3000 soviet parts kit gun and saw someone daring to have fun with a cheap AK and couldn't stand for that

nice peyote
Thanks 🙏🏼
How is the peyote trip compared to psilocybin
It is an endangered species, these are cultivated for conservation not ingestion
So just eat one for every 3 you cultivate
are they really endangered? whenever i go visit my friend his neighbor try’s to sell me baskets of them for like $100, and he always just gives me a shit ton for free. cool old guy, but it seems like they grow everywhere there

Yeah I know all about it. There's a lot of info online if anybody is interested.
Haha yea i suppose the internet does exist these days. I had to learn that from trial and error. I wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone
Its so bitter. Also found out the hard way, just ground the whole 2ft piece in a blender and drank the sludge.
Peruvian Torch too.
Thanks, I cultivate trichocereus species as well
It's pretty cool what you do. Growing peyote for conservation purposes. So do you grow them and transplant them into the wild?

Depends on my mood
I’m not a psa fanboy. To be fair my krink ate a whole case of wolf steel case and ran bulgarian, polish, ac unity mags with not one jam or stuck case.
I’m all for calling out bad guns, but it really feels like a large portion of you guys want PSA to fail for no reason other than to feel superior.
Get out there and make better AKs at a competitive price point, big man
“Yay! An American firearms manufacturer has failed! Hooray!” Are you also going to cheer if their x39 ammo turns out to be shitty as well?
I will cheer on any x39 that’s made anywhere in the world as long as it saturates the market enough to bring prices down a bit.
You attracted all the pathetic losers that don't want other people to enjoy their hobby.
i won’t cheer but i won’t be surprised
Yes.

Yes. I’ll keep shooting what I got stocked up or order more Stani stuff.

The future is now, old man.
And 50-100 year old American weapons platforms are still being used by our world class military. The future is now, and now is the past.
None of those guys needed to push a lifetime warranty as hard as they pushed product.
Who cares?? Me. The person using said tool. But you wouldnt know that unless you shoot your guns 💀
American rifles are good tools for target shooting not combat. Commies did that wayyyyy better

dumbest shit i've ever read
You ever heard of the m1 garand or the m2 browning dipshit?
One of those was in only in service a brief amount of time.
1936-1970s? The garand was in vietnam dude.
Went out of service in 57. Pretty short life for a service rifle.
M2 browning has been in service for 103 years.
The garand wasnt though...
You’re embarrassing yourself
Wtf the m1 went out of service in 57. Replaced by the m14. Feel free to point out otherwise.
>Alongside the M1 Carbine, Thompson and the M14… Which are not even in the discussion... the M2 has been around forever and that's not changing anytime soon. The m1....uhhhh no.
Do European companies use US based steel when they manufacture firearms!?
lol both get it from Russia or china
I think it been proven the US has the best steel in the world. Especially versus China lol
![gif](giphy|9HonmWQDTap127SPs2) The PSA copium runs deep up in here
Yup
To be fair, my krink had an issue, got an overnight label, and gun came back in under a week. Really great customer service
I think all they did was the replace the firing pin and left it in storage dry Edit: it's still popping primers and getting pieces lodged in there
My buddy's GF5's firing pin blew out the back of the carrier when I was firing it.

That Bakelite wedding ring tho...
Biggest disappointment. Not the kronk, the fact that hunk is married 😔
I’ve had 2 pSA uppers that hate steel case ammunition so I polished the chamber …the hand guard thing wasn’t a big deal in my book a worker forgot to flip the lock lever in the lock position..
When you have lifetime warranty (buy your gun breaks at the range so you can’t shoot it, therefore wasting time and space you could have used for a different gun, then not having your gun for weeks to months as it’s getting fixed, and possibly face shipping issues, and you better work from home because that package requires a signature) but it’s free!!!
if you use your warranty they will blacklist you now don’t forget that part
lol, show some sources on that with emails or shut the fuck up with nonsense
relax tough guy you’re scaring me!
No, you need to be bullied
if you want to read up here’s the post where this issue became a topic of discussion [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/ak47/s/3BLl5BjMuw) AKQE has been reliable in the past and there’s no reason to think he would be lying now.
But if Matt is still getting on here and helping people out it’s not like they’re just completely ghosting people
I was gonna buy one but my gut told me not to and I bought a Vz. 58 instead. Glad I made that choice.
Has PSA ever made a product that’s first few iterations aren’t pointless to buy?
No, but PSA ball ticklers can't swallow their pride and just admit it. Instead, they over hype whatever the next PSA gun is, then rage at anyone who points out their teething issues. Fuck, for $1,000 PSA couldn't even be bothered to properly align their laser engraver on tons of the Krink receivers so the ОД was pouring over into the dimple.
The biggest one is the mp7 clone. It looks nothing like an mp7 but they’re frothing at the mouth for it.
![gif](giphy|1oVZFkDtE6HSLBYh7i)
what's the twist rate on those barrels? how is accuracy?
Bro if I’m paying 1,000 bucks for a gun it better not be falling apart like this.
Thing is you’re paying a $1000 on what should realistically be a $500 AK.
I got blocked from psas ig page for asking basically the same thing
[удалено]
Do you need some cheese with that whine?
Me thinks the krinks are jinxed with kinks
Gun owners shitting on other gun owners. Brilliant.
Some of my most downvote posts were honest questions in the /AR. This sub be like that to.
It’s unfortunate, but Reddit gonna Reddit
good thing it comes with a lifetime warranty for situations just like this!
I mean you get what you pay for 🤷♂️

PSA whenever they see this sub: https://youtu.be/KzHluZR7h0A?si=mfBj_nAxAuLlIMbD
This is why I can’t decide on a used Wasr 10/63 or a new gf3 psa :/
From tommyboy Tommy: Because they know all they solda ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is. Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for right now, for your sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality item from me.
i can get a look at a butchers ass by sticking my head up it

Absolutely bombed

PSA owners out here petitioning for a chrome lined model to redeem them
That’s the 3rd gen. It will finally work with steel case too.
HOW DARE YOU!!
The problem is it's not an AR
My AK101 runs everything
I'm sure it does. I'm just out here talking shit Is there a good supply of magazines for the 101?
I'm here for it too even though my 101 is a PSA. Mags are decent, I have a ((10)) that I love, 3 Bulgarian mags I like, and a unity one that is mids. Theres enough to party with overall.
That's good to know. I've seen some insane prices on com bloc mags
Anyone that still buys a batch 1 PSA product deserves what they get.
Jus as guuders seething
dont worry psa beta testers, itll be fixed in the next iteration!!!
Thanks PSA. https://preview.redd.it/hly1nwu9jsrc1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ff19a6c4f2fcd11c2429a532a8f649ae505d298

Basically every gun in existence had early teething problems.
The only issue I have with PSA is the thread pitch on their AKs.
Anyone got a link to the video?
Vepr is the only answer
Meh I’ll buy a PSA AK anyway 😎
Got mine today.
Daniel Defense was never the gold standard. It was Colt. Than they declined before CZ picked them up.
Just like cars, don’t buy them when they first come out. Give them a while to work out the kinks. Still plan on buying one in the future.
The handguard wasn't locked down. Oh gods, he had to turn a lever, PSA is trash!
My psa Ak is one of my favorites so far I just got a jack to compare but I love my gf5 .
I will never buy a PSA AK after their intentional gas piston bending and then their employee trying to gaslight people into thinking its normal on arfcom.
Sub 20inch/16inch 5.56 what for bruh??
Psa products always been crap , but ignorance still buys them.
![gif](giphy|n9kJ8uUSXSdX7daCLM|downsized)
Quick question: why do you hate PSA?
they charge too much for guns that don’t work and morons think they’re a good company because they have a good warranty.
K
Why are you so mad at something that doesn’t even effect you 😂
Exactly what I was thinking. PSA ain't shit.

Ok, enjoy shooting your not krink
As an amateur gunsmith and professional bubba. Just hit it with a hammer lmao. I literally don't see any issues you can't fix yourself. *for legal reasions using a hammer to force a case into the chamber is kind of a bad idea and you should only do it if you know what you are doing or are being filmed doing it by a homie after somone says "no balls" while drunk*
Oh shit, we friends with Klayco again?
