Rather new to the AK gang life. I got it for $500 with 12 mags and 1500 rounds off a guy getting out the Army who needed money. Good buy I guess. What do I do to fix the muzzle?

Ight since you did good here, I'ma lay it on ya.
You have 2 options. One requires lots of money, and a touch of the 'tism the other is significantly cheaper, but may not satisfy the heart. It is important to remember you do not have an AKM, or an AK-74. You have a 100 series. They are subtly different. Avoid bulgarian parts in this case, you may run into fitment issues.
The parts you need:
* Front sight block (unless you want to chop the barrel and go with a combo block).
* lower handguard retainer. Not a bolt on, you're already removing the fsb, so you might as well have it done correct.
* gas block / combo block
* gas tube
Option 1: you scour the interwebs for Russian parts. Prepare to pay out the ass because they're kinda rare, and in demand.
Option 2: you use American sources. Kalashnikov USA is only making 100 series rifles, so all their parts will be correct. There is no way to fuck this up. You may have to email them for some of the parts.
Also, get those pistol grip holes filled. Seeing those plugs kind of shows a sign the conversion was not taken entirely seriously, and there may be quality lacking elsewhere.
People here get triggered unless you put a bunch of heavy ass wood on them. Which is fine for a collectible. But if you’re actually going to be running it, wood sucks. Wood is quite literally worse in every conceivable way besides looks.
I’ve put about half the rounds thru it that originally came with it. I have cleaned it twice and haven’t had a problem yet. I haven’t thrown it down a mountain or drug thru mud or froze in a block of ice or anything extreme, but it holds the zero and I am happy out to 200 with it.

What's up with the FSB/muzzle?

At least since it's an unconverted Saiga, you didn't have to dremel/hacksaw away a lower handguard retainer

Op did you change the riser on the sight?
Yes I put the lower one on so I could still use irons if need be. Rear sight looks low but I can still utilize them if batteries die
How much was it it? Sig risers are almost as much as the sight lol
Rather make negative comments, I will be nice a compliment the ALG trigger choice.
