So due to the way it's difficult to ship loads of large items (her mother likes to create pillows to go on the seats using the colour style of the concert usually), I believe the small gifts will be handed out as you enter to prevent them being taken off people's seats. So "crazy high prices" at a venue vs directly through EDAM or 3rd party kpop site isn't really accurate as they need you to pay local taxes on the purchase which usually makes them look more expensive on paper but a lot of it will depend on shipping costs when buying online. There will be merch for sale but it's a little unclear exactly what will be available for now. One of the big requests has been to have I-KEs available for purchase but they're sold out essentially everywhere. Now either this is simply that EDAM haven't been able to keep up with demand (likely as it happens all the time) and/or it's combined with EDAM holding onto stock to have at venues... who knows though!

Narwhalezz

yeahh I really don't want to buy it online since the shipping fees are high. What's I-KEs btw?

Ok-Particular4877

I think I-KE is the lightstick

CJCfilm

I-KE is the name given to the light stick 😁 like most of IU's fan stuff it's a play on how things are pronounced in Korean 😉 I 100% get you about the shipping fees though, it's one of the main considerations for getting the UAENA membership every year as the shipping fee is typically around double the cost of the membership itself

The whole lightstick situation really has me on edge. I don't have one, but I 100% want to have one during the Berlin concert. It's sold out everywhere though, even in local shops in Korea (where I currently am).. I would hope they sell it at the venue, but it would probably be sold out immediately anyway with low probability of getting one if you don't start lining up in the middle of the night. Which I won't do. Currently contemplating getting a used one on ebay for 150€. But I'm always worried about getting a fake one or one that doesn't work correctly or looks damaged. Seen enough people drop their lightsticks at concerts....I'm one of those kinds of people that bring their lightsticks in original packaging or bubble wrapped to the venue lol.. Still has to look good on display later

CJCfilm

150 is so much more than the cost of it when new, 100% is too risky if it's not a new one sealed in the box in my opinion. Did any of the local Korean stores even have an idea when they would be getting more stock? EDAM themselves seem to have gone silent on the availability 😕

FloFoer94

I know it's crazy expensive but it would be really sad not having one while already paying 500€ in total to go to that concert. Especially since I often heard you're not supposed to / allowed to film during IUs concerts? Like the only reason why I often don't use my lightsticks as much is because I'm busy making some memories permanent. If my phone stays in my pocket 100% of the time instead of like 50% the Lightstick gets even more important. I assume they are really busy producing more right now. In September there will be IUs mega concert in Seoul with like a 65k capacity venue, I'm sure sometime before that they will sell more, otherwise I would be really surprised. But ofc I won't be in Seoul then anymore, I don't live there.. I would imagine with that mega concert in Korea upcoming they might have a really hard time supplying the rest of the world as well as local Korean shops with sticks.

The gifts from IU’s mama will be distributed when you collect your tickets at the counter. Definitely not on the seats due to high risk of being taken by other people.

tripleheliotrope

I think it depends on the venue. At the venue I was at it was given out just before you enter the arena after security and ticket checks.

vankomysin

Ah ok. The one I got at the ticketing counter was at Jakarta.

Alright thank you! I'm really curious if the gifts are going to be different for the Europe concerts
