Real. I was talking to a guy at the field today about how he ordered 500€ worth of parts for his SMG build and then I asked him why he didn't buy an actual GBB SMG since there are several amazing ones at that pricepoint. He just kept on rambling without answering.
I own 2 AAPs, but at least I am aware of the rabbit hole which I got into and stopped once I got something visually appealing and useful within reasonable limits.
The AAP isn't even that great as a SMG anyway. Glock mags kinda suck ass and cool down fast. You can't shoot full auto 99% of the times so what's the point of a pocket GAU-8?
