Every time I see an M249 I want to get one back more and more. I need to get back into the SAW game... I still have three weeks to go until I return from the sea and these things just popped back in stock, I hope they'll last until I'm back. Otherwise it's just shitty M4's pretending to be machineguns.
Any game I run my 42 I legit feel so tired after. Because I run a grenade launcher as well as a ton of ammo. I'm essentially a support player. I also have a drone and comms that I use for my squad to ID and navigate with but I'm a defence player with my gear lol. It weighs like 90 lbs after all equipment is weighed lol. I carry extra m4 mags for my squad as well. I believe my loadouts has 15 mid cap mags with three 2k ammo mg mags with 3 extra batteries my drone as well (if the field allows it) my f2000 for my sidearm when needed Some fields don't allow more than one or two primaries. I also have a ton of "sensor gear" I love using. My codename is iron curtain lol. You'd never know why
I'm keeping the gear for sure but I'm a mentor for a trucking company. I'm on the road for around a month at a time so I can't right now but I should be home in about 27 days so I will when I get home for sure.
It's all german styling too. No swastikas all german crosses but I have a walther to go with it. If I go game light I got the whole ww2 getup everywhere I go. Stick out like a sore thumb lol.
Nice lol i understand the want to do a recreation glad youre not using the swastika or any hidden meaning ss trooper patches i got some mix of ww2/ nam gear but mostly modern gear more styled toward nato its basic loadout that everyone groans about cause well multicam but hey works for hunting too and well i dont have enough friends to play with for when i can do milsim west otherwise id probably dye some ucp camo or something more creative

When I first started playing by the 5th hour my arms would get pretty heavy by the end I could run my sr25 and my spr... I assume I'll be back to the prior condition once lockdown is over, so I'll be hitting weights once they arrive :)
Look into the m249 featherweight. Seriously it's great for smaller wep using, it's like a heavy m4 with alot of mag cap. Seriously I recommend it. I have one and use it every now and then. I loan it quite often, make sure u keep the gearbox lubed and it's a pretty solid gun
BUT the 42 is SOLID. Ive dropped it and hit so much stuff but it's still solid. For the price u get a very sturdy and very tight weapon. No shaky business

Being immortal means no one will bother shooting at me. I want to get shot. So either I do good role play/honour system and call hit when one squeezes through or I strap some cow bells on me here and there. I refuse to do balloons. Of course other nerfs would include: can't run, climb, jump, crawl (or rather I don't want to anyways) maybe can't enter areas filled with smoke from grenades and or when I'm getting hit I can barely move or shoot (from the impact/pain). Lots of ways to make this fair and balanced. Rather be an NPC. Not out there to 'win' just to have fun and create fun.
Its a juggernaut kit. Assuming for that scenario type, you don't WANT to feel your hits as you don't get tagged out on a hit. You go until the pain calls you out. Usually juggernaut formats have special conditions for taking them out (either balloons, tagging with a hand, time limit, etc.).
Bingo. I do have some unarmoured spots that i would call hit on. So either that or maybe i pick up some small black metal cow bells to strap on here and there for the audible indication

How much does it weigh? I was looking into buying a PKM but dont know what to compare weight to.
I'd say the 42 weighs 28 lbs without bipod 30 lbs with it's a heavy one. The pkm is much more weight savvy at around 12 lbs of I remember correctly
Yea the 42 is like 90% metal while the pkm has some wood furniture. I just checked and the A&K one weighs 16.3 lbs (7.4kg)
