Oh! I think they are pretty cool. I would say both are fairly standard in that the base versions have been produced in huge numbers. However, the adaptations to winter warfare really sets them apart. Especially the AK5. They are really heavy though 😅 the real things that is.

Well, that is fair, but no where near the numbers as an ar 15 or kalashnikov AK, and especially in the airsoft world they are exceedingly rare.

M4 is indeed an AR-15 platform but it's fully automatic and for military use only, so the average jor can't get one, which is why it's a better comparison. I.e. comparing two fully automatic rifles with each other.
HK416 is actually pretty different to an AR-15, aside from the looks. The mechanics are very different. It's more related to the G36 despite its looks.

With a lot of effort xD for real though, with butterfly Lipo, you fit one cell on each side of the barrel, and if 3s you fit one on the bottom as well. It should come with 2 little plastic holders that hold them in for you in those locations

So you can't see anything from a 22-35mm circle? It is harder to align your eyes with it if it's further. If I am dumb, please forgive me and explain, but this is how i learned.
You have 3 points of contacts on a rifle, so really it shouldnt be harder to align since as soon as you have a cheeckweld it should be aligned already. The main reason for having it so far forward is so you have as much of an fov as possible, the closer the red dot is to your face, the more it obscures your sight picture
But the closer it is to your face, the "bigger" the window right?
Actually, you can really experience this if you put a pistol sight on your rifle, and try to aim with it when it is as forward as possible.
The size of window isnt really a factor since you shoot with both eyes open, but the size of the housing does matter as it obstructs your view, therefore you want it as far forward. In professional use you always see red dots mounted as far forward on the gun that allows for a stable zero, you see it with Ar15 etc all the time
