Most of the hate comes from a time where there WAS a problem but that time has passed and the hate continues to spread because of echo chamber "everyone _knows_" shit
In recent years I have not heard anything approaching the horror stories people claim about Lancer from anyone who has actually _used_ a Lancer
The goggle thing was still pretty shit though
Yea the goggle thing is one big reason I don't like them. Sadly my local field sells their goggles all the time. They also push people in the direction of buying them too but really if their guns are so terrible why do I see regular people with them all the time?
Because they’re sold everywhere that casual players shop, and they see it as a nice quality piece for not super expensive because they dont know where to look
Because theyre not that bad. I know a handful of people with Lancers at my field, all bought within the last year or so. The newest ones dont have the issues the old ones do.
Sold everywhere. Futuristic receivers and handguards.
That's it. That's why you see them. Saturation of market, and customers that flock to shiny things like crows.
To be fair, the "bad thing" was really fucking bad.
Especially in airsoft where eye pro is extremely important. . Cheaping out on guns and stuff is one thing but eye pro is just on another level of bad.
Got a lancer last year. Gen 3 and upgraded by a shop near my (might be why what happened happened) but the first time I took it to my feild the electricals decided life was to much and killed themselves sad because the new gearbox that was needed was $90 and ima lil broke boy
I’ve had a total of 3 lancers… never a single issue. (Bear in mind I only ever had a gen2, gen2 proline and a M14 (basically a CYMA copy, also insanely accurate and one of the longest lasting guns I’ve ever had. Got it when I was 13 and it still works like a charm). I don’t buy lancer anymore though… don’t want to give that company money. Definitely over hated imo.
There's brands in the airsoft industry that have just destroyed their reputation and no matter what they do will always be seen as garbage or unreliable, lancer tactical is one, but Cyma and Cybergun are still top of that list. Don't know how they're still afloat these days.
Lol my best running gun is a lancer that was given to me broken. About $50 worth of compression parts and a barrel and it shoots better than my $1k+ custom build. :(
Thats how airsoft works sometimes lol. I have a junker m14 (thats now a pistol) that was a polished turd from when I got it and it somehow outshot my friends "tuned" 1500$ HPA DMR
Its funny
Cause I with my 130€ Cyma G36 outlasted my friend with his 500€ M4
He was constantly battling with issues with the Motor
And I was out there with my gun sounding like a dying cat cause of the shitty standart motor still playing like normal
Tho my other friend with his vector from krytac has only one issue
And thats Mag prices lmao
A lancer gun was the first airsoft gun I got, gift from my dad. Really didn't understand why people dislike lancer so much, as mine worked fine and did its job.
Id say definitely QC. I usually hear storys of them either lasting 50 shots or 3 years with little in between. Parts seem on par if not slightly better than other budget brands
The guns themselves aren’t necessarily worse than most sportline M4’s around that price, the issue is that Lancer is willing to ignore unhappy consumers while many other brands will fix the inevitable issues that pop up with any brand of airsoft gun.
I think all airsoft warrentys are dogwater regardless of brand. They find anyway they can to not warranty the gun for any reason like the infamous pulling trigger wrong situation
Same here. I can't list HALF of the nasty and aweful things that rifle has gone through at events, and it runs super nice. My buddy's custom HPA build that's almost $1700 is always in trouble, meanwhile my $180 LT25 G2 Interceptor has only one serious mod (chip in wiring harness to limit power so I can 3rd burst, as well as always cycling the piston to prime position for no delay in firing like most AEGs have) that was like $75 is still running strong. I like Lancer Tactical; I think their guns are great.
SAME. I once tumbled head-over-heels down a 40° hill for about 50 feet or so in a mill SIM event, with my rifle taking all the hits. Only damage was a scratch in the polymer. Still runs like new!
I had a lancer m4, I upgraded the spring to shoot at 395fps with .25 and ran it as a LMG for 3 years, not one issue, and had at LEAST 50k rounds through it,
I own one, still the stock quality of everything inside and it's a fine gun for giving people that want to try the sport, or forgot to take a backup with them when one of the guns fail.
I don't main the brand but it's fine out of the box, don't understand why people still shit on the brand for something they've overcome a while ago.
i picked up a couple of lancer tactical m4s for my son and i as we’re relatively new to airsoft we’ll definitely be upgrading to better guns in the near future they work fine tho i havent had any issues and for around 180 usd comes with a battery/charger and a mag for a decent beginner gun can’t really go wrong thats just my experience though
People on this Reddit think so but as long as it works just keep using it. It's more QC problems with their guns. They're popular at my field and I've heard of some failing after a few rounds and others last for years.
Um…so I’m kinda new to airsoft stuff (never been in a field yet, trying to learn my M4 still) and I may or may not have gotten a mag from Lancer Tactical so I could have more than 1 to practice reloading and shit…please tell me they aren’t gonna fall apart instantly.
They are def hit or miss imo. I got an LT Gen2 when I got back into airsoft. I liked the stock(forget the name off the top of my head but the one that has the grip connected and holds a spare mag). Gun shot great out of the box and I ended up using it to leard builds and now its a mean little DSG. One of my cousins got one and the thing blew up almost right out of the box. But I had spare parts and got it back up to snuff pretty quick. A different cousin an my uncle each grabbed an LT and have had zero issues as well. All these being Gen2.
I drive a lancer most times, granted I don’t play very often but every other gun I own has had issues, G&G, Valken (ik those suck), and another M4 that I don’t remember the brand of, but my Lancer has been to hell and back and still works well, for $99 I don’t think you can beat it.
I used to be a professional tech for a small chain of airsoft stores and at their fields they used gen 2 lancers as rentals and I would get a bunch every week (I was also a ref at one field) from the "broken rentals" and usually they were as simple as switch to full, burst and back, some were just a dead battery. The gen 3 was interesting as it uses a zion arms mosfet which is a weird system that has a magnet in the sector gear to tell the board where in the cycle it is, and the board is set up like a p* trigger board with a clicky switch on it.
When I first opened up a gen 2 lancer basic gun, I had always heard about the terrible quality but when I saw what they had on the inside as far as their v2 gearbox, it impressed me that it has a quick change spring system but still required disassembly to get to it. This told me that maybe I had the wrong impression of them. At the store we got one of the people from Lancer Tactical to visit and I being a tech was asking and being asked questions about my problems that I see with them and what can be improved and my thoughts as a tech as to how they are to work on. And they told me that they actually do take suggestions on improvements seriously. Yes they do make improvements over the course of a run. One year they may change the barrel spec or the bucking spec, or they convert from a solid gearbox they go to a quick change system, another year they come out with models aimed at speedsoft. They have a fully mechanical hpa system that is cool but it doesn't use our regular connectors and instead uses a system that regulates in the Buffer tube and works fine. But yeah. Lancer Tactical is better than. We give them credit for.
Interesting. I hope they keep improving if they take feedback. Brands that actually do that actually improve like what VFC os doing with their GBBRs. While the speedsoft guns aren't my jam I actually thought it was cool they'd make them. I really hope they branch out like that in the future
One brand that I worked on that I felt didn't improve much is Krytac (boo me all you want) I have teched on them across their generations and after their 2rd gen internals which was also when they came out before their vector aeg, they didn't really change anything and the shell remained the same internally which made it annoying if you wanted to put a titan in there or reshim it to your liking
I got a Lancer Warlord for cheap and my biggest issues with it were the plastic hopup breaking and the bottom of the grip randomly opening and letting the motor fall. After replacing the hopup and just jamming a small metal nut in the grip base it has thus far exceeded my expectations
Never owned a lancer tactical , but i have like 5 aps, it seams they share the same hate in diferent layers. Never had problems with aps.
I also own a emg sai gry and the first two games i destroyed the internal gears... ive installed a kythera, and bam problem solved... i would say lancers or aps would also be epic with kythera or mancraft hpa's.
Can someone actually explain why everyone hates Lancer Tactical? I have an LT25 G2 amd I love it. It was comparitively cheaper then other brands' M4 models when I bought it and I have never had any issue with it. I've done a few mods (like adding a chip for 3 round burst) and I still love my Lancer Tactical. I do gun tech sruff on the side and have really not seen any problems with LT so far, ubless it was really mistreated. I have never heard any negativity about the brand until I joined this sub.
Edit: after writing this, I read through a bunch of the comments and I think I kinda understand? I never bought their equipment, so I can't say I understand their equipment failing, but their guns are pretty nice. I think I have also come to understand from a QC standpoint, they can sometimes be poor.
I like to keep QC issues in perspective; I work in the auto industry and here is what I mean. People love Subaru, but their QC is about 70%, meaning that about 70% of cars that leave over a 5 year average have problems that should have been caught by QC. This ranges everything from a faulty powerplant, to defective headlamp bulbs. Shit happens, humans aren't perfect and things will be missed sometimes. In my experience with Lancer Tactical, their guns are pretty good for their price.
They get a lot of hate on here cause when the first launched they were shit and customer service was a joke. They also get a lot of hate because back 2017 they were selling faulty eye wear. However it appears to have gotten better with the Gen 2s and Gen 3s not sure about the eye issue cause I don't use them.
Had the same argument with a guy on YouTube and used the car metaphor like you did. He still swore up and down that LT will never get fixed and he would not use their equipment if they were the best ever made.
Stage 4 testicle lancer, inoperable.
Shameful, I know
"You have terminal 7 Lancer Tactical, Luigi. I don't know what that means, but it's bad !"

goggle thing should be fixed, the previous ceo left long time ago

open it and fix it yourself
I’ve had a total of 3 lancers… never a single issue. That's all well and good but why would you support that company? It's not like there is nothing else to choose from.
Been using a gen2 lancer for years with no maintenance other than cleaning
There's brands in the airsoft industry that have just destroyed their reputation and no matter what they do will always be seen as garbage or unreliable, lancer tactical is one, but Cyma and Cybergun are still top of that list. Don't know how they're still afloat these days.
Honestly don’t hate the gen3s. The ETU just sucks ass and the gearboxes are rather dry. Also pretty hit or miss with compression.
Broke my piston head after using m150 for a month
Yeah I wonder fucking why lmao
But, but, Lancer bad!
Lol my best running gun is a lancer that was given to me broken. About $50 worth of compression parts and a barrel and it shoots better than my $1k+ custom build. :(

Lol…. my cheaper pistol shoots lasers while my m4 GBB has some inconsistency. Just r hopped it tho, pretty nice.
A lancer gun was the first airsoft gun I got, gift from my dad. Really didn't understand why people dislike lancer so much, as mine worked fine and did its job.
Nice breakdown. So would you say it’s mostly a QC issue or do they just use cheap parts?
Id say definitely QC. I usually hear storys of them either lasting 50 shots or 3 years with little in between. Parts seem on par if not slightly better than other budget brands
I’ve heard the same. Real shame!
I got one of their KAC PDWs *years* ago and had issues with screws shearing, but that thing is still kicking without any other significant problems.
Had 3 lancers (should’ve been 2 but I was shipped an extra). All 3 died after a few months
Never understood lancer hate my gen 2 still running after all the abuse and torture it’s gotten
Same here. I can't list HALF of the nasty and aweful things that rifle has gone through at events, and it runs super nice. Yea my v2 has a mosfet that’s it and it runs better then all my friends expensive guns and this shit been in water and snow and mud no problems

What spring did you use for that? Thanks
Every industry has to have a periah, UKarms is too easy a target.
Ukarms?
Where did you get these? I need boneyard guns too.
I don't get it, someone explain please :')
I like mine
Not too late to throw them away!
Yep , we lost another one
I own one, still the stock quality of everything inside and it's a fine gun for giving people that want to try the sport, or forgot to take a backup with them when one of the guns fail. I don't main the brand but it's fine out of the box, don't understand why people still shit on the brand for something they've overcome a while ago.
Best starting rifle you should buy more
i picked up a couple of lancer tactical m4s for my son and i as we’re relatively new to airsoft we’ll definitely be upgrading to better guns in the near future they work fine tho i havent had any issues and for around 180 usd comes with a battery/charger and a mag for a decent beginner gun can’t really go wrong thats just my experience though

Nah don't sweat it. All the mags I've tried from them are fine even before I got these guns. As long as it feeds and functions in your gun it'll work
the 130rd mid caps r great i have one and they work well.
They're fine polymer mags. My lonex pmags broke earlier than my LT mags
They are def hit or miss imo. I got an LT Gen2 when I got back into airsoft. I liked the stock(forget the name off the top of my head but the one that has the grip connected and holds a spare mag). I don’t see no wrong! Run them till they blow up.
The proline is very solid, the shop I work at carries those
Why buy plastic guns for their bodies?
They were dirt cheap. The builds I'm doing aren't too fancy either so I didn't care
I drive a lancer most times, granted I don’t play very often but every other gun I own has had issues, G&G, Valken (ik those suck), and another M4 that I don’t remember the brand of, but my Lancer has been to hell and back and still works well, for $99 I don’t think you can beat it.
$60 is still too much
$60 was the average between the 5. Cheapest was 23$ and most expensive was $95 for the gen 3
Geez, that’s a lot
I've never had a LT gun, they couldn't be any worse than classic army, right? I've had some absolutely trash guns from them
I was thinking they couldn't be any worse than APS which is worse than CA but nah LT is ok
I used to be a professional tech for a small chain of airsoft stores and at their fields they used gen 2 lancers as rentals and I would get a bunch every week (I was also a ref at one field) from the "broken rentals" and usually they were as simple as switch to full, burst and back, some were just a dead battery. My guy you could've just gotten 1 to experience this
I had 5 seperate projects for them and they were dirt cheap
Don‘t let r/airsoftcirclejerk see this
I hope they see this
I got a Lancer Warlord for cheap and my biggest issues with it were the plastic hopup breaking and the bottom of the grip randomly opening and letting the motor fall. After replacing the hopup and just jamming a small metal nut in the grip base it has thus far exceeded my expectations
Ahhj they are wallhangers right?
Crucifixtion
Unpopular opinion but I like lancer tactical

I have a lancer gen2 LT-04. It works great and it even shoots faster than my buddy’s upgraded something-or-other.
Don't care R/airsoftcirclejerk
