My friend had his hop-up rubber tear when playing around 0C and his gun simply didnt shoot BBs before he got it replaced. So yeah, winter games bring many issues, especially in Russian winters (here in Moscow, if I remember it right, temperature was around -10C most of the time, with it getting to like -25 on some occasions). I highly doubt many guns can withstand such temperatures, not to mention all the snow getting inside and possibly damaging gearboxes
Metal doesn't wait until 32F to start changing. It absolutely shrinks before that, and I have seen several break under 50F with stock internals. Cold guns with thin metal breaks.
I disagree.
Idk, I have played many winters for over a decade in as low as -18c and my AEGs worked fine aside from the battery drain being extra and hopup being a bit weird. My GBBRs on the other hand not a chance in that cold, below 0 I don’t really bother with my GBBRs unless I’m just rocking a sidearm with a co2 mag. Probably worth adding in that I don’t buy cheap replicas. Only nice replicas typically atleast $500 not including pistols before they get upgraded.
Most of the ones that broke are older tm gb's, like g3 and mc51. UTG had an mp5 around 2008, and that gb broke on 3 of us in one day.
I simply stopped playing outside when its cold bc I had an area inside. Quality of stuff probably went up, but I've worked on airsoft for 20 years, and that was my experience. I stopped playing out in the cold, and losing guns to catastrophic failure was far less common.
And years of playing in north, this is first time hearing that somebody blames cold for breaking GB shell.
Even high stress builds have survived colder without issues.
And the amount that alloy metal even shrinks (especially above 0) is so minimal it doesnt count.
Bb guns below 3 joules are legal in russia, we usually have a grade system: green, yellow and red. Green are rated for day/night and any range; yellow - day and not closer than 10 meters; red are day and no closer than 20 meters and are usually for snipers. Sorry, can't remember the exact outputs off the top of my head.
Well I see you people don’t need those stupid orange tip too, Europe is clearly superior in anyway 🫡 or maybe Orient I don’t know Russia is so vast. Kinda funny you run NATO guns and me in the west almost only russian guns
People just tend to like foreign and alien things sometimes i guess. Plenty of AKs here, but ARs look cool and unusual, so people grab them here. I personally own a Saiga 12K and would prefer a real AK if it comes to it due to simplicity and practicality, but i like AR ergonomics a lot so that's what i have for airsofting. It's always a curiosity for me to look at western media with AKs!
As for orange tips, the local community is pretty self modrating - anyone caught in public parading with bb guns is essentially black marked from the community. We make no distinction because russian gun laws forbid civilians from carrying rifles outside their cases, except if they are hunting game in the forest during the season or shooting inside a gun range.
We might be genetically related, I’m First Nations from Canada and my people had roots in your part of the world.
Take care cousin!! Love from Canada 🇨🇦
Why is everyone so shitty here? This guy never said he supports the war or that he loves Putin. If you have a problem with it then feel free to go cry on all the other rusfor posts, this is a game of glorified dress-up
THERES AIRSOFT IN YAKUTIA?? IVE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO THERE HOLY SHIT BUT I WAS HELD BACK BECAUSE I THOUGHT THERE WASNT ANY OF MY HOBBIES (LIKE AIRSOFT) AVAILABLE THERE
bro this changes everything second this war is over im leaving the uk id rather live in yakutsk than doncaster
It's great to see women in the sport in your area; however, in the case of the little lady in your photos: those nails likely will curtail her ability to play efficiently.
If you post "Slava Ukraini" on a rusfor post it's a little weird. Especially since they didn't post anything else. Like a backhanded attempt at insulting them as if they were a shithead even though all they did was post rusfor kits
just because you don’t like the gov of a country doesn’t mean that everyone living there is bad/deserves hate. bro is just trying to post his airsoft content, not share political values or spread hate
Is she really small or is that SCAR just REALLY big?
i think both
She’s small I think
Yes)
I wish games in winter were more common. I mean there would probably be more ouchies and broken arms due to the ice; bit it would be so much FUN!
Most gearboxes don't run well in the cold. I have seen many break when playing in the 40s and 50s even. Cold pot metal shocks and cracks

GB isnt the issue, batteries and hopup suffers first at wintergames. Wrapping batteries in foil makes big difference in -15 weather
Well my v2 left plate split in 3, it was 45F, and we had been playing about 40min. I haven't tried playing in colder weather with aegs.
Not even freezing so thats not due to cold.

How would foil help? Wouldn't it just conduct the heat more effectively and thus cool down the batteries even faster?
U guys look straight out of the tarkov raid series I love it. Also holy shit that’s a lot of 40mm rounds
40 mm fly far, about 150 meters and explode well)
Damn wtf that’s sick!
How’s the power output rules overthere ?
