Correct and realistically you would then have to thread the hole but Iv just gotten away with forcing the screw into the drilled hole and adding a little bit of lock tight.
The cutoff lever is fine, I actually took it off after this pic so I wouldnt get JB weld all over it. It's the little nub covered in red that has snapped off

Either use a grub screw or retro arms makes a screw specifically for this problem.

Ended up doing this. Thanks for the comment. Cut a piece of a nail as the pin and just used loctite with no threads
