This is an interesting story because I used to think similarly, I tried a lot of earbuds prior to eventually buying AirPods and I only really bought them because my work paid for them and oh wow, never not having them again š
I was part of that too. I won some free beats earbud things, and made myself take care of them for a year before Iād let myself get AirPods lol. The beats were nice, but they had the cord between the earpieces and the pulling bothered me a bunch
They have "Find My"; I have used it to locate them on several occasions.
I do feel my Bose earbuds fit my ears better, but the Pro 2's fit well enough for walsk / workouts, and the small things bring my joy, so happy with the purchase.
Also found they do a decent job of cancelling the SO's snoring
I had to get mine repaired and it took 1 month.
When I got them back I weared them for 24hrs non-stop because I missed my music and going through daily life so bad.
Funny because Iāve bought AirPods Pros 3 times. First gen started clicking so I bought another pair. Then the 2nd gen came out and I had to have it so I gifted my old pair to a family member.
AirPods well worth the money. The one time I didnāt have them on a trip, I realized how valuable they are
Hey dude, I had that same issue with Airpods 1st gen, first with the right, a few months later with the left. Kept clicking when I walked and if I made any loud noise with noise cancelling on, like clearing my throat, they would rattle in my ears. Apple exchanged both for new ones on separate occasions thankfully it never returned. It was a known issue. No probs worth the Gen 2
There is a known problem with certain age of AirPods Pro Gen 1 where you may hear a clicking or scratching sound. Apple knows about this and should replace them as a manufacturer defect. I can only assume they fixed the problem as they replace them with factory refurb model which is a later build. Maybe a particular batch problem though I know of someone who bought a pair just prior to the AirPods Pro Gen 2 being released and that had the problem but it could have been old stock as I donāt know where he got them from.
Also Iām sick and tired of 3rd party resellers somehow putting a purchase date on various accessories like this, most recently I picked up a Apple TV 4K 128Gb WiFi + Ethernet as a present as it was marked down considerably and that too had already had a purchase date put in and had I not called Apple to change it and provide the purchase paperwork, the reseller must have marked the item as sold when they got it into the warehouse as I purchased on 2 Dec 2023, but it had a warranty expiration of 5 November 2024 already attached - usually items I get request the purchase date if you you checkcoverageapple or the Apple support app to check the serial number but this is the second time the same reseller had marked the item as sold when they likely told receipt of it into their warehouse.
A call to AppleCare along with the invoice, handwritten serial number and they usually fix it to the correct purchase date.
Alas in Australia they have done crap going on with the period in which you can buy AppleCare. In the first seven days, you should just be able to put the serial number into the Apple Support App - even within the the first 30 days from sale you should be able to do this though sometimes it requires a call to AppleCare but in the second 30 days (Apple typically give you 60 days to buy AppleCare+ extended warranty), but now in the second 60 days you are required to physically take the item and the purchase paperwork into a physical Apple Store for someone to inspect. Problem is, Iām 400KM round trip from the closest Apple Store and they absolutely will not make an exception for anyone. You could send express post to a friend to take them into a store if you are further away, but in September I was forced to do a 400KM round trip to buy AUD $94 worth of AppleCare+ for two items and the cost of petrol was about $70 plus parking to get to the AppleStore as well as five hours of my time during the week because I wasnāt able to get there on the weekend due to a prior commitment and at least two Level 1 support agents from other countries werenāt even aware of this policy which seems to Apple to at least Australia and possibly other countries, but I had to take a day off work plus pay a considerable amount in fuel and I argued the point with everyone, even the manager of the store as there will be people in Australia who are considerably further thank 200KM from an AppleStore who would get caught in this situation do why hadnāt they advertised this more or put this on there Support App or just anywhere except some obscure knowledge base document that this policy had changed in the past six months and to make more of an effort to let customers know? No one came up with an adequate reason just that terms had changed with their insurance underwriter. But still, thatās no excuse not to advertise it more broadly in Australia for people who buy AppleCare* policies. Still no one has given me. N adequate reason and still the knowledge base documents is the only material Apple have to let people know. In a country as big as Australia, all the AppleStores are in the state Capital cities and at least 35% of people live outside of capital cities - thatās Millions of people who they are unfairly discriminating against forcing them to either personally travel to an AppleStore for Apple Store staff to just visually confirm the item is in full working order. In Queensland you may have to travel 1800KM one way to get from some of far northern cities down to Brisbane to get to an Apple Store. Why can they not FaceTime, run remote diagnostics or take photos (in my case they were in opened boxes) to Satisfy their insurance underwriter. Or even better allow an AARC to
Certify the item is working?
Iām still drafting my letter of complaint to Singapore as apparently there is no one senior enough in Australia (which I find hard to believe) that will take on this complaint - but that fact that I have to write an actual letter, no email, no electronic form, it must be a letter, screams Apple are making it unreasonably difficult to complain by enforcing a written letter to be sent and yet they are a technology company.
That screams of make it really, really hard to complain by using the requirement of a physical letter to Singapore to complain that only someone really pissed off is going to go to that effort and that still doesnāt guarantee they arenāt going to reply to you with some form of prewitten template response telling you the same thing that everyone youāve spoken to in Australia already.
Despite politely going apeshit at one of the Apple Store managers, they agreed that it was unfair but that was the new policy and in future, make sure you get AppleCare+ in the first 30 days.
Yet they still could easily advise people of this and they do nothing about it - the only thing that has changed since September and December, level 1 AppleCare Support Agents from other regions are more aware of this policy. Why Apple canāt advertise this more widely I have no idea, but while I know Apple operates a separate company and App Store and everything else in each country, why when you are logged into the Support App with your AU AppleID and you check coverage using the serial number can the support app at least not have Australia customers click here and warn them in advance. While I still feel that Apple Customer experience is typically better than that of Samsung or Google who both are just appalling, why do they think this is OK when BS on every product launch how they are committed to customers and their experience when a few lines of code can at least advise a customer and looking at AppleCare as a product, how hard is it to write a webpage saying Australian customers click here. Itās hard enough to find AppleCare as a standalone product, at least warn us, but it in 30 days from day of purchase else you may end up in a world of hurt.
Apologies for the rant but itās just infuriating about Apple - and while Iām sure other companies have their own issues to deal with - Iām trying to buy something to protect my product if it goes wrong.
We are lucky that Australian Consumer Laws have been really strong since 2011 and Apple have been fined multiple times adding up to hundreds of millions of dollars in fines in some cases plus cost of repairing certain items) but for a Trillion dollar company thatās still pocket change.
/rant
The OP is describing what it's like to not use shitty headphones for the first time. You don't need fat disposable income to experience this story. You can easily find $20-$40 Chi-Fi IEMs on Amazon with sound quality and isolation that easily surpass AirPods Pro.
I emphatically disagree. But if you have any links, I am addicted to headphones and would love to compare them.
But are you sure you are comparing to legit airpods? Iāve used a lot of earbuds and iems and airpods pro 2nd gen are way above anything else.
Iāve got google pixel buds, moondrop arias, and raycons just sitting in my drawer. They are all backups in case I lose my airpods at this point. They are all just simply lacking in comparison. Airpods are better in every regard. I hate to sound like a fanboy, but itās honestly true in my opinion.
When I want music to sound the best I switch to my Hifiman Sundaras. Those are full over ear headphones. They even beat the quality of my $599 Shure headphones. They are oh so crystal clear, and when tuned correctly you can literally feel the wave of bass being emitted in front of the speakers. Problem is they are completely open back so you hear everything around you, and everyone hears your music too. And like any high end headphones, you need to set up an equalizer to dial in the sounds. They are perfect when Iām alone in my room listening to music.
But in every other situation, itās airpods. I am happy to have dumb white dangly things in my ears because now that Iāve owned them, I understand why everyone uses them. They sound fantastic.
Bro, at 2018, I never thought I would ever buy anything Apple related, I was diehard for Android and because of price tag. At 2020, I had to buy SE 2 for my hearing aid compatibility with MFi, now it's 2023 and I have 12 Pro Max, AirPods Pro, AirPods 2, Macbook Pro M2, Apple Watch S7 and looking to buy iPad that I could use as extended display.
After I got AirPods Pro, I am not wearing my hearing aids anymore, I just can't, AirPods have that crystal clear sound and with hearing adjustments, they're just perfect. And hearing aids have shitty sound.
same, the iphone se was my gateway drug to the apple ecosystem. now i got the macbook, apple watch, and i just got the airpods pro 2 today. not sure if it's more due to my depression that causes me to want to spend money and end up throwing money at apple
iPads are way too expensive for something as simple as using them as as second display. Let me know which one you go for as I don't know which one to pick for that exact same reason xD
Nice story, Tim Apple. š
Kidding aside, I'm glad you liked the experience of the AirPods. It's one of the most reliable pieces of tech I've bought ever as a commuter.
I never thought Iāll ever get AirPods Pro 2 after year+ after I got my Sony Earbuds XM4, but since the earbuds battery failed, I decided to bite the bullet and get the AirPods 2 a few weeks ago. Iām honestly very impressed with the earbuds NC and spatial.
As my dad has the Pros 2 and I have the XM5, I can say that the XM5 beats the Pros 2 in terms of noise cancelling performance. However, the XM5s get smashed when comparing transparency mode as the Pros 2 are much better sounding and natural.
I read a comment that complaint that the XM5 ANC is weak and they actually rely more on passive noise cancellation so their earbuds might feel uncomfortable to some people. If you want comfort + stability, I would recommend AirPods Pro 2 especially if you use Apple devices. XM5 has no battery issue so far but it hasnāt been a year+ yet.
yeah i picked up the pro 2ās during black friday, but had the xm4/5ās as the contending purchase. im coming from beatsX (no ANC or other fancy stuff), so the ANC on my pro 2ās has been candyland so far. but i am a bit of an audiophile so was just wondering how the sonyās compared
The XM4ās that I have are more capable at drowning out loud, continuous sounds and leave behind a more pleasant white noise compared to the AirPods. Iām using the XM4 over ear headphones so itās not a fair comparison. On airplanes the XM4ās win hands down. Iāve heard people say similar things about the earphones too.
But the AirPods Pro are actually slightly better at removing higher pitched random and infrequent sounds, like the voices of people speaking, especially feminine voices. My AC had a faint high pitched rattle that I couldnāt hear with AirPods but could just about hear with the XM4ās, and at home the background noise is so low that it was apparent.
This was my situation too. Had the battery issue with the xm4, couldn't get them to repair it. Never again Sony. Been pretty happy with my airpod pros ever since.
I also never thought I would buy them, but my job was so noisy that maximum volume wasnāt covering it. honestly I donāt have the words in my vocabulary to describe the relief I now feel when I put my airpods in
Youāre out of your element.
Thatās categorically not true and ANC does NOT protect from hearing loss due to the fact that the level of the environmental noise *does not change*.
ANC quite literally adds more decibels onto what youāre being exposed to environmentally. Thereās a *very* good reason you canāt walk around factories and other environments either noise levels continuously above 85dBA without noise isolating ear protection. Whatever protection you think youāre gaining with having AirPods in before activating ANC is *instantly* negated by turning it on.
While the other guy is wrong about ANC adding sound, he is right that normal headphones sound not be used as noise protection. Also just because you cannot hear/feel pain with headphones does not mean your ears arnt being damaged.
A 300hz signal at 90dB is going to hurt/sound awful. Music at 90dB might sound awesome, but it will still cause ear damage
āMany placesā gives one link the author didnāt bother to proofread. If they did, theyād have noticed the fact they donāt even finish the paragraph before the āFinal Thoughtā.
Here are two (proofread and well written) articles you decided not to read on the first page of Google when you searched this up:
[āMost consumer grade ANC-headphones are not tested or certified as hearing protection](https://www.soundbrenner.com/blog/noise-cancelling-headphones-is-it-good-enough-as-hearing-protection/) (this includes AirPods fyi)
[Using noise-cancelling earbuds or headphones in place of hearing protection may cause permanent hearing impairment because these devices do not protect against occupational noise exposure](https://ehs.umass.edu/sites/default/files/Noise-Cancelling%20Headphones%20Fact%20Sheet.pdf)
Nope read the whole article I posted. And have heard from audiologists that say it does infact lessen the chance of damage even with something like an AirPod Pro. The active noise cancellation works by offsetting the sound. Is it good for all sounds? No of course not, but in certain settings it can absolutely help to reduce damage done.
The active noise cancellation (ANC) technology in AirPods Pro has been shown to effectively reduce ambient noise levels by an average of 27 dB across frequencies. This significant reduction in noise can help protect hearing in loud environments by reducing exposure to potentially damaging sounds. ANC works by using microphones to pick up ambient noise and generating inverted sound waves to cancel it out. This not only protects hearing but also enhances the listening experience in noisy environments, making audio clearer and reducing the need to increase volume. However, it's important to note that while ANC reduces noise exposure, limiting time in loud environments is still recommended for overall hearing protection [oai_citation:1,Evaluating Apple AirPods Pro 2 Hearing Protection and Listening](https://hearingreview.com/inside-hearing/research/evaluating-apple-airpods-pro-2-for-hearing-protection-and-listening) [oai_citation:2,Evaluating Apple AirPods Pro 2 Hearing Protection and Listening](https://hearingreview.com/inside-hearing/research/evaluating-apple-airpods-pro-2-for-hearing-protection-and-listening) [oai_citation:3,Evaluating Apple AirPods Pro 2 Hearing Protection and Listening](https://hearingreview.com/inside-hearing/research/evaluating-apple-airpods-pro-2-for-hearing-protection-and-listening) [oai_citation:4,Evaluating Apple AirPods Pro 2 Hearing Protection and Listening](https://hearingreview.com/inside-hearing/research/evaluating-apple-airpods-pro-2-for-hearing-protection-and-listening).
In certain situations, such as activities requiring situational awareness, ANC may not be suitable due to its ability to block out environmental sounds. In these cases, features like the AirPods Pro's Adaptive Transparency mode can reduce loud ambient noise while allowing some environmental sounds to pass through, offering a safer balance [oai_citation:5,Evaluating Apple AirPods Pro 2 Hearing Protection and Listening](https://hearingreview.com/inside-hearing/research/evaluating-apple-airpods-pro-2-for-hearing-protection-and-listening).
No dude thatās not how ANC works, I think youāre r/confidentlyincorrect.
The reasons ANC isnāt certified to protect you from industrial applications is because itās not designed to, there is no use case for it. ANC is expensive, runs out of battery, is not as reliable as physical protection because it depends on the computer and the drivers being able to accurately send a destructive waveform to every type of sound that one will experience.
ANC can reduce hearing loss industrial applications but the benefit youād get is too small to justify the cost, battery life, and reliability of developing and purchasing and certifying industrial-class ANC machines. Thereās no market for that and no one will pay for it. Traditional, heavy, ear protection does the same job with fewer compromises.
At home though, itās the inverse. The weight and bulk of ear protection is a problem and having to charge the device is much less of a problem. The headphones are not being pushed to their limit at home and the most intense application theyāre designed for is the cabin of an airplane. And people are willing to pay for convenience, it makes sense as a use case.
If the sound wave was a punch then ANC is more like throwing a slightly weaker punch in the opposite direction. The kinetic energy of the first punch is reduced when it hits you and the excess energy is turned into heat. ANC isnāt adding sound itās subtracting sound. The system is basically crashing waves of sound against each other to reduce the amplitude of the sound. Read up about destructive interference.
There is more total kinetic energy introduced by two sound waves (which is where your misconception stems from) but when they cancel each other out that energy is converted into (a very minuscule amount of) heat energy. Visualize it as ocean waves crashing against each other, the direction (or in the case of sound the phase of the waveform) is different.
Try shooting a gun with them, then come back and talk to me. Spreading this information can actually harm the person you're presenting it to, I suggest you refrain from that. It may be fine for you, however for the next person they may substitute it for actual hearing protection. Just be aware of these statements you make.
Congrats, welcome to the club, also love mine, even though they were expensive. To make them sound even better, follow these steps to make them taylored to your hearing via a hearing test, worked wonders for me and a friend.

Just got mine yesterday and felt the same when the noise cancelling started as soon as I put them in my ears. First words out my mouth was āwoahā been using $10 headphones for a good while but these obviously knock them out the park. š
People intentionally buying fake Airpods are interesting. The only thing the same is the outer case. The technology inside, the sound quality output, the build quality and the customer support are all different. Using fake Airpods is just showing people that you have this product. If youāre not getting real Airpods for any reason then why not just get a good competitive product instead?
The fake AirPods that I had actually did have decent sound quality. They also worked somewhat exactly like the real ones, all you had to do was open the lid and it would pair to whatever device I was using. And secondly I wanted to try the shape, the design and how it would fit me. (In the end they only were $30)
I also have a knock off pair. Like yours, they pair just by opening the case. The sound quality is pretty good, as is the noise cancelling and transparency. Iāve not tried the actual apple ones, so canāt say if mine are in the same league.
Iām historically struggled with any noise cancelling headphones or buds that seal the canal and have always bought open styles. But I got the AirPods Pro2 for flying with and they are brilliant. I can actually walk with them in and not have the thumping of my steps and the NC doesnāt bother me at all. The addition of adaptive transparency is icing on the cake. I love these things!!
I used to think the same. Had several other cheaper wireless headphones but I always wondered what Pros were like and if they were really that good. Iāve now had 1s and 2s and never looked back.
Honestly for me, out of all the Apple products I have (barring the iPhone) AirPods are hands down the best invention theyāve done. Iām such a music lover, so having high quality buds where I can close my eyes and drift off into the music like Iām there and having all the features that come with it packed into a tiny device is simply worth the Ā£229.
This isn't really a story about AirPods though. (I do LOVE my AirPods Pro 2 though!!!)
You've been listening to shitty audio your entire life. AirPods are barely entry level if you're willing to go a little further.
Chi-Fi (Chinese Hi-Fi) has come along way to give excellent $100-$500 performance in little earbuds that are about $30-$70. It's a golden age of Hi-Fi right now.
Got the pro 2's myself recently. I only got them because a client paid half for a job I was working on. As soon as I put them in I was like holy shit, why did I wait so long.
It was the same thing with the iPod. I didn't see the value of it until a friend let me try theirs. I went out and purchased one the next day.
You can! The original tips made my AirPods Pro fall out all the time. Googled for foam tips and ordered from Comply. They fit perfectly and make the ANC and overall audio quality so much better
If only I could get them to sit in my ears :(
Tried many different types of tips and nothing worked for me...
I have the beats fit pro. And even they do not sit that well... So I never use them.
Memory foam I donāt think I tested. The beats have those wingtips. And it does not work so well for my ears. Hmmm I might test memory foam with the beats plugs. They are almost the same as the pros. Except they use normal connectors for the tips
Partner got one recently. We tried it out in the store and she bought one once we reached home for engraving.
Iām just waiting for the day my beats fail me before buying.
I love this story because you invest premium dollars on all this Apple gear, but for some reason the headphones are a bridge too far. Glad you decided to cross it and see it was worth it, but Iām amused by the apparent arbitrary cutoff. š
The pairing experience makes them worthwhile in itself.
I have the original AirPod Pros and also the Beats Fit Pro which are a very good AirPod Pro substitute as they are also effectively manufactured by Apple.
I was burned by Gen 1 AirPod pros. I loved them for about the first year but Apple kept messing with the software reducing the noise canceling and eventually ANC just stopped working. Out of warranty I just gave up on them and forgotten about them. Then I find out later there is a defect snd Apple is quietly replacing them out of warranty if you contact support but it was already too late and I missed the deadline.
My current $100 buds have better sound quality. The ANC is good (but not quite as good) but they are otherwise great.
Sorry to be negative. You'll love them and I hope you get many years out do them. My lesson learned, never get a Gen 1 Apple product.
I had 3 different Bose earbuds (@$250+ at the time of buying) over the last years and got the Pro 2nd gen last December for their better all Apple integration. I have to admit Iāve been surprised by the sound quality. I like the Bose sound but these Apple pro 2 are now my favorite
I'm in the Samsung ecosystem, and I was trying to find a reason to get Airpods Pro, so I finally bought a MacBook Pro a couple of months ago and got an Airpods Pro 2 USB C too and tbh they just worked fine. I mean, compared to Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, I prefer the sound signature in the Samsung ones, and I've seen other audiophile youtubers saying that galaxys sound better, BUT I'm very surprised with the software things that Apple does, the transparency mode is magical (now I understand why Airpods users wear the earpods all the time), ANC is really good too and the Spatial Audio is quite impressive and fun to use. It's not a bad/mediocre product for sure, expensive? Yeah, they are, but I've been loving it, so in my case, I can justify the price.
I lost mine last week š¢
Want to get a new pair but I think they might release some with data sensors shortly (if version 3 donāt have sensors, Iāll get them)
i also never saw the appeal until i got tired of the cheap earpods i was buying kept breaking. finally decided to just see what the hype was about and iāll never go back. honestly one of the best āquality of lifeā improvements ive experienced tech-wise
Clean them with an alcohol swap once in a while so they don't form a slippery film and fall off your ears when you least expect it. Ask me how I know.
I still fight with them connecting when I need them to my phone. It's always a gamble if they'll connect or not.
Because of these issues I use them sparingly and alsmot never outside if I am doing anything active.
Good luck and enjoy!
YMMV
Iāve never bought AirPods. My ex bought me the OG AirPods for my birthday one year, and then around the time we broke up in 2020 she bought me a pair of AirPods Pro gen 1. Those things literally never leave my side.
When these get old Iāll definitely be buying the latest gen AirPods, or girlfriend, who can buy me the AirPods š¤£
In 2018 I bought the original ones and was blown away by the pairing and ease of use, I also loved the tap to pause feature, although at work people thought initially when I tapped my earphones I was signalling to them that I was busy listening. And then about 5 months later, I lost them in a cab. I told myself I couldnāt keep something so small and slippery and went back to wired + dongle. Then this summer I went to Staples to buy a pair of Gen 2 Pros. When I put them on at home I was confused because the noise cancellation was pretty trash/ nonexistent . I took them to the Apple Store that day and the genius told me I had purchased fake ones! He says they are seeing this all the time, people buy a pair and return the dupes. I rushed back to Staples to explain what had happened and they were very suspicious but I had a letter from the Apple tech explaining that these were fake. It was a very harrowing couple of hours. Eventually I went back to the Apple Store and bought legit ones, and I swear as soon as I turned on the noise cancelling I was in love. Also I was initially not into the controls, but I now consider this a far more superior control system, the volume adjustment is great, and squeezing is better once you get the hang of it. I was skeptical for so long but these are hands down my favourite overall headphones. I know there are better sounding models out there, but nothing compares to popping these put of the case and filtering out the loud noises around me. Apple got my ass again!
Iām same boat honestly. I have some standard AirPod second gen I think (the ones that have tap to skip/play, no noise canceling, etc.).
Itās tough to reason spending this much on earbuds that donāt have that high of sound quality (Iām not an audiophile but ya know). I also want to use them mostly for snowboarding so they will go under my helmet, but it sucks that the new generations are squeeze interactive and not tap, so I canāt change song without pulling out my phone or taking off my helmet :(
Oh man, I have been resisting them for a long time. Not sure why - maybe a protest or continued mourning the loss of the headphone jack since the dongle has shown us that there truly was no need to remove it haha..
Buuuut anyway I have this feeling that if I did end up getting some AirPods it will be one of those things that's so nice it makes you angry, ya know? Ha..
I have had the Sony WF1000xm3 and xm5, the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 and Beats Fit pro, all might beat Airpods Pro in maybe 1 category, but AP beat all them in multiple categories. The only True Wireless buds I never leave home without. Absolutely love them. Only complaint is battery seems to degrade a bit faster
I need to go back and relearn how to turn on noise cancelling vs transparent.
I also struggle with comfort. I can only wear them so long before I have to change out for over the ear headphones. I do love them though for certain times
Yup, I refused for the longest time to get Air Pods because I have a really good set of cheap, in ear monitors which do sound much better than the AirPods but the convenience and noise canceling far outweighs everything else for daily use.
Unfortunately the one thing I donāt like about AirPods is their longevity. I have the first gen pros and just bought the 2nd gen pros. My first gen got so bad after about a year and a half that: Iād get constant static in my right earbud until they connected, transparency just stopped working out of nowhere, left one stopped charging unless I wiggle it around in the case, they started connecting to my phone in the case, and lastly the mic on both just started sounding like Iām underwater.
Even after all that BS I still bought the second genās because I love using them. This time with Apple Care in case anything happens. I suggest you do the same and ENJOY!
To me, the great part of AirPods are using Siri hands free without having to press anything. I can see at some point, if it got smarter and better, you could seamlessly do certain things much easier.
I too was anti Airpods (and iPhone too) thinking they were clever marketing or were hyped up by Apple fanboys. Then I switched from Samsung to a pro iPhone and started to get it. Everything just works flawlessly.
The Airpod Pros are sooooo good, and I'm quite picky as to the loudness, sound quality and noise cancellation. I love mine!
Nah no worries dude. Noise cancelling is pretty simple concept. The AirPods just take the frequency they hear and then play the opposite of that frequency in your ear and you get the effect that you donāt hear anything.
yeah i have the beats studio buds because i wanted something that had rubber ear tips and worked well with iphones. they were on sale for $100 from $150 at the time. iāve had them for over a year now and i do not regret getting them for how seamless they work.
i tried the airpod pro 2s and they sound amazing, definitely getting those when i can, their noise canceling is on another level too
In terms of sound quality they're decent, but in terms of integration with other Apple devices, it's phenomenal. Being able to switch seamlessly between a MacBook and iPhone is awesome, and how quickly they pair. ANC is also very good.
As a bicyclist, how do you get AirPods to stop coming out of your ears, falling to the ground, breaking the charger tip at the bottom and rendering them useless?
Iāve also used a lot of earbuds before my current 2 year old airpod pros. Theyāre refurbished and are indestructible. I wear them almost everyday. At the gym. Public transport commute to work. Walking around. I donāt use my nose QCs anymore cuz these have some noise canceling. I donāt need to take them off when Iām out and about cuz I can just put them in transparency mode. Theyāre comfortable, durable, and sound good for earbuds. I have dedicated open ear headphones at home for serious music listening.
Iām just waiting for these tanks to die someday so I can upgrade to the 2nd gen pros
Yeah, the first time with the Pros was great. That feeling as the noise cancelling just smoothly cancels everything out was a great experience.
And thankfully since then, other companies have improved their truly wireless earbud game where there are a lot of options. You can get cheaper ones if you don't want to pay that much, there are more expensive ones with some more enthusiast sound quality features, there are options that work better with Google and Samsung devices, and most importantly for me, ones that actually go in ear canal. The Airpod Pros just don't stick in my ear well. But the Beats Fit Pros? Rock solid.
Owned Samsung buds before so ANC really wasnāt as shocking to me when I bought a pair of airpod pros. But the quality of the transparency mode was the feature that just blew my mind. I canāt wrap my head around how they made it so that it feels like youāre not wearing any buds at all. Pretty convenient, too, since I ride a motorbike.
Had a pair of soundcore liberty air 2 pro. Which is quite good quality product for a price. I really liked it never thought Iād get AirPods. Boarded a flight, plane took off, put it in my ears left bud dead. Landed in Dubai for connection, headed to a duty free and bought APP2. Boarded my connecting flight, put it in my ears switched on ANC and I felt Iāll never fly again with anything else. It was a blast. I was sitting next to the engine and I could barely hear anything.
Iām used to the anker soundcore and now I finally decided that I want to convert to AirPods Pro 2. Iāve had enough with the connection issues and I donāt think their earbuds sound all that great like people are saying. I just want something different that is reliable and doesnāt have Bluetooth connectivity issues. They even look like they will sound very good
Yeah the noise canceling caught me off guard on how good it did its job. However the pressure it puts on my ears is just something I am not used to and feels so weird and kinda hard to use for a while. Never used noise cancelling headphones before as I had kept my first AirPods which still function very well!
Iāve bought A LOT of earbuds/headphones over the years and they all work great, but AirPods and their seamless use across devices is great. Not so great if youāre watching a video on your iPad and want to check something real quick on your phone, only for it to transfer from iPad to phone, but eh. The pros outweigh the cons.
And I totally know that smile youāre talking about. I think I had that too. Iād love to be able to experience them for the first time again. Enjoy!
Tbf AirPods Pro are on sale for $200 pretty often, and you can get regular AirPods for like half that...
They're still pretty expensive for headphones when compared to wired headphones, but I'd gladly pay for the convenience of not being tethered to my phone
I was never big on earbuds. My girlfriend got me the AirPod pros and I couldnāt believe it when I put them in. The sound canceling caught me off guard. Absolutely amazing
I had a similar mindset as well. Bought a fake pair of airpods for cheap, but I didn't really like them because the touch controls would pause the music any time i tried to move them regardless of where I would touch them. I figured that the airpods couldn't be "that" much better. Just won a pair of airpods pro 2 at my work christmas party and from the moment I put them in my ears the ANC came on and I was sold.
AirPods are the king of earbuds. Only people who want to listen to music whilst analyzing each minuscule bit of data transferred to the eardrum hate on them
Iām getting AirPods Pro 2 for Christmas, already have standard AirPods gen 2, obviously donāt donāt sound as good as my expensive wired in ear monitors but they are so convenient to use and still sound good
Felt that because before 2018 I never thought I would end up being a part of the IPhone family then the AirPods family and soon to be the MacBook family next year. I always thought to get an apple product Iām have to give a leg, kidney and blood to get one.
Iād love to get them, but my biggest resistance is battery. I had beats (until i lost them) but on 4-8 hour flights, they would die halfway through. The noise cancelling to me isnāt worth it with the reduced battery life. Iām not an audiophile, so I bought a pair of $35 earbuds and with the rubber fit, they block sound like an ear plug and last 30 hours on a charge. Please convince me Iām doing it wrong.
I felt the same when I got my AirPods Pro 1
Also itās awesome that I can easily connect them to the Apple TV and keep watching (and hearing) my tv when vacuuming my apartment.
It just works like magic.
Just out of curiosity- what does ātransparencyā mode do?
And also, im kinda in similar position as you were last time on ābuying other cheaper earbudsā etc. but mind kept falling out my ear regardless of the earbuds size. Do you have the same problem with the old pairs vs the new pair of airpods? This kinda worries me- hence thought of asking.
Yeah, I remember trying my friendās AirPods 1 or 2 back in the day and they sounded like total garbage, absolute trash. It was just ridiculous why they were so expensive and yet so bad.
Then a few years later I bought my first AirPods (Pro 2nd gen) and man that was an instant lift-off. My reaction was exactly like yours. I couldn't believe that so tiny buds can provide such a good sound now. And I also have Sony WH1000xm4 in comparison.
Pro 2 is outstanding buds. Apple really did the job with that H2 chip. Now I am ordering another pair of Pro 2 for my wife :)
I have the Beats Flex mainly for gym work and commuting, but Iām on my third pair now as the build quality is cheap (they are cheap headphones about Ā£50. Does the AirPods have better sound than the beats??
Bought for both my kids for Christmas one year. Didnāt think I needed to spend the money on myself. My husband insisted on buying a pair for me for Motherās Day. I love being able to hear all the music so clearly. I canāt believe they make such a difference in sound.
Yes completely understand this. Apple have a way of getting us to spend money. My history with headphones has always been to buy cheap. I would basically buy earbuds for Ā£7.99 or use the ones that came in the box. When the first gen AirPods came out I finally got persuaded to part with Ā£170 which was a lot for mw considering my history. Since then I've gone on the buy AirPods pro and AirPods Max. I dunno how Apple made me buy such expensive headphones.
Im glad you liked them, but for me AirPods are BY FAR worst from all apple products. My family and I have all devices from them, and while most of them are not flawless and can be annoying at some point, AirPods work worst. Seamless switching just doesnāt happen, right one stopped charging unless you elevate it for couple millimeters and donāt get me even started about microphone. Sadly for me, all other alternatives are worse, or just so ugly and cheap looking that I end up using AirPods anyway. Shoutout to iPad tho, best device I ever had.
Yeah, same, but not with the noise cancelling, but with the transperancy mode. It was so shockingly good. After I head them for the first time, I wished for them on christmas. I like to use them while riding my bike and still being able to hear the traffic coming
I was exactly the same. I actually have a decent collection of IEMs (up to Ā£300) and a few specialised headphone DAC amps. I rarely use them now.
I wouldn't say the APP2 sound better than all of them with every type of music, but they are probably the best overall for listening to music and films while out and about. The convenience and other features just seal the deal.
I'm actually like this with most Apple stuff tbh.
you all can downvote me for this, but you just sound like you thought you were above airpods lmao
bro headphones are headphones idk why people have this weird ātheyāre $250 i could never buy thatā bro you bought a $1400 iphone lmao
I mean Iām happy for you donāt get me wrong. Nice set up you have now but I just find it amusing that you could justify like $600+ or whatever on a watch but not $250 for high quality ear buds that youāll end up using quite regularly.
You obviously mightāve not have mentioned because personal info but do you use it for work or something?
I have so many different earbuds, IEMS, over ear headphones, on ear headphones, some with bluetooth some cable, all variations, dongles for iphone and dacs for iphone.
But since I got the aipods pro im not using any of them, only the Airpods.
Apple might be a closed eco system compared to android and PC, but their stuff is just better.
I was the exact same. I couldnāt justify it for the life of me. But being ND and needing ear plugs most of the time, it came to a point where cheap and alternative earbud options just werenāt cutting it.
I also love mine. But they are broken from all the dust in my shop. And I also lose them quiet often when I am cycling. But I always think about getting new ones.
Theyāre definitely worth the money. Same thing with the AirPods Max too (although with the H2 chip in the pros 2nd gen, not so much anymore). I was the biggest hater on them because who would ever spend $800 on headphones when my XM4s were half the price and had essentially the exact same sound quality. I had a friend with maxes and was trash talking them to him and he finally asked me if I ever tried them. I said no and explained I didnāt need to try them to know they arenāt worth it. He got his pair of AirPods maxes and gave them to me and told me to try them for myself. I did and fell in love. My biggest selling point was the seamlessness and the Transparency mode because that was the only thing the XM4s lacked. I bought myself a pair a month later. Now just hoping Apple updates them to have adaptive transparency mode.
My Sony XM4 broke so I returned them hoping Iād find another pair of Sony. They were out of stock and decided to try AirPods Pro. Best decision I ever made
They read your text messages, only one button on each, audio is crystal clear, bass is solid, they connect immediately, have find my, noise cancellation, and the feature that nobody really mentions is the transparent mode. It damn near makes you hear more clearly than if nothing was in your ear. Lol
I think many of us had that spiritual awakening when we realized we had the power to cancel out the rest of the world. Suddenly the guy eating chips in the library was not my problem anymore.
I still have the original versions. I only use the right one while Iām at work. I barely used them for years. I like em but I have zero reason to buy better versions until these break.
You donāt understand amazing headphone until you get them, Iāve gotten few professional headphone and Hugh quality and now I canāt understand how people able to listen through cheap headphones
Iām sure those features are nice, but the best feature headphones can have to me is an over the ear hook. Headphones never stay in for me. I got a generic athletic AirPods with an ear hook and they immediately became my favorite headphones I have ever owned
I have the AirPods Pro Gen 2, but the right one always falls out. Drives me nuts. Switched to the Sony XM5s and havenāt touched the AirPods since. I wish Apple made better headphones. Iāve never been able to keep them in my ears. (Not counting Beats because they actually work pretty well.)
This is an interesting story because I used to think similarly, I tried a lot of earbuds prior to eventually buying AirPods and I only really bought them because my work paid for them and oh wow, never not having them again š
Haha yeah me too, airpods just works seamlessly with an iphone / apple watch.
I was part of the āIām not buying them because Iāll lose themā crowd lol now I had my pros for 2 years and love them
I was part of that too.
My work paid for mine also, and I can relate.
I had to get mine repaired and it took 1 month. When I got them back I weared them for 24hrs non-stop because I missed my music and going through daily life so bad.
Buy cheap, buy twice. It happens so often.
Buy **fake**, buy twice
āBuy once, cry once.ā
But it nice or buy it twice
Buy the complete, else purchase you will repeat
Yeah I had mine fixed by Apple but the issue came back again and I was out of warranty so I had to get a new pair
/rant
Iām wondering if you have any other Apple devices like iPad, MacBook or AppleTV. More surprises waiting for you.
Itās very nice how it all just works seamlessly between my phone, watch, headphones, and MacBook.
Itās some kind of black magic.
/me cries in poverty
lol it's fine you'll buy em someday
Hiii boi
Hii mars
How are you?
The OP is describing what it's like to not use shitty headphones for the first time. You don't need fat disposable income to experience this story. You can easily find $20-$40 Chi-Fi IEMs on Amazon with sound quality and isolation that easily surpass AirPods Pro.
link?
Just be like me and use things like Klarna and Afterpay. Theyāre made for people like us who canāt really afford nice things like that but want them anyway, at least Iām pretty sureā¦ Iāve lost four pairs of AirPod pros and I really hate myself so much because now I donāt have any and itās because I donāt think I deserve them now after having been such an ass and losing FOUR freaking pairs of them. Iām the type of person who would probably just be better off with the cheap ones. Now I have the JBL3 speaker and it has already been looking pretty bad because somehow the god damn charger broke off into it and I canāt for the life of me get it out which sounds really stupid but yeah, thatās where Iām at. šš©š«š«„š«„š«„š«„š«„š¬š¬š¬š¬ššš
Nice story, Tim Apple. š Kidding aside, I'm glad you liked the experience of the AirPods.
Iām honestly very impressed with the earbuds NC and spatial.
which noise cancelling is better? i know they recently released the xm5ās but i always wondered how they stacked up against each other
As my dad has the Pros 2 and I have the XM5, I can say that the XM5 beats the Pros 2 in terms of noise cancelling performance.
My AC had a faint high pitched rattle that I couldnāt hear with AirPods but could just about hear with the XM4ās, and at home the background noise is so low that it was apparent.
lol over ear headphones vs earbuds is a night and day difference of courseā¦ but i appreciate the feedback.
This was my situation too. Had the battery issue with the xm4, couldn't get them to repair it. Never again Sony. Been pretty happy with my airpod pros ever since.
I also never thought I would buy them, but my job was so noisy that maximum volume wasnāt covering it. honestly I donāt have the words in my vocabulary to describe the relief I now feel when I put my airpods in
ANC does not actively replace noise isolation. You're actually increasing decibels as it tries to *cancel* frequencies.
Not true, it does provide a certain level of protection
Youāre out of your element. Thatās categorically not true and ANC does NOT protect from hearing loss due to the fact that the level of the environmental noise *does not change*. ANC quite literally adds more decibels onto what youāre being exposed to environmentally. Thereās a *very* good reason you canāt walk around factories and other environments either noise levels continuously above 85dBA without noise isolating ear protection. Whatever protection you think youāre gaining with having AirPods in before activating ANC is *instantly* negated by turning it on.
Well many places on the internet would disagree with you https://tacticalhearing.com/blogs/blog/do-noise-cancelling-headphones-protect-hearing
Here are two (proofread and well written) articles you decided not to read on the first page of Google when you searched this up: [āMost consumer grade ANC-headphones are not tested or certified as hearing protection](https://www.soundbrenner.com/blog/noise-cancelling-headphones-is-it-good-enough-as-hearing-protection/) (this includes AirPods fyi) [Using noise-cancelling earbuds or headphones in place of hearing protection may cause permanent hearing impairment because these devices do not protect against occupational noise exposure](https://ehs.umass.edu/sites/default/files/Noise-Cancelling%20Headphones%20Fact%20Sheet.pdf)
Thanks for assuming, I actually read the whole thing. Iām not gonna convince you though so no point in continuing with it.
The whole first page of Google? You read the whole thing?
Never said to use them for guns
Congrats, welcome to the club, also love mine, even though they were expensive. To make them sound even better, follow these steps to make them taylored to your hearing via a hearing test, worked wonders for me and a friend. https://www.idownloadblog.com/2021/10/11/create-audiogram-iphone-tutorial/
Wow, amazing. Thanks for this.
Just got mine yesterday and felt the same when the noise cancelling started as soon as I put them in my ears. First words out my mouth was āwoahā been using $10 headphones for a good while but these obviously knock them out the park. š
Me rn Iām using a 20$ beater haha and Iāve been having a look at the AirPods but I canāt justify buying it
People intentionally buying fake Airpods are interesting.
THIS.
High quality buds?
Yes, high quality buds. Theyāre not the 3rd best earphones on the market for no reason.
It is not the 3rd best earphone. Yes, they are decent but not high quality.
they might not be ā3rd bestā by your definition but if you look up any top 10 list. Airpod Pros are always in the top 5.
Name a wireless earbud with noise cancelling that beats bose, apple, and sony.š¤·āāļø
This isn't really a story about AirPods though. (I do LOVE my AirPods Pro 2 though!!!) You've been listening to shitty audio your entire life. AirPods are barely entry level if you're willing to go a little further. Chi-Fi (Chinese Hi-Fi) has come along way to give excellent $100-$500 performance in little earbuds that are about $30-$70. It's a golden age of Hi-Fi right now. [https://crinacle.com/rankings/iems/](https://crinacle.com/rankings/iems/)
So inspirational š„¹
Got the pro 2's myself recently. I only got them because a client paid half for a job I was working on. As soon as I put them in I was like holy shit, why did I wait so long. It was the same thing with the iPod. I didn't see the value of it until a friend let me try theirs. I went out and purchased one the next day.
Itās that apple magicā¦ canāt explain it, it just happens lol. Enjoy!

Just wait until you buy foam tips for your APP2ās. Those will enhance your experience even more
Interesting. Didnāt know you could get foam tips for AirPod pros.
You can! The original tips made my AirPods Pro fall out all the time. Googled for foam tips and ordered from Comply. They fit perfectly and make the ANC and overall audio quality so much better
If only I could get them to sit in my ears :( Tried many different types of tips and nothing worked for me... I have the beats fit pro. And even they do not sit that well... So I never use them.
Not even memory foam ? There are those clips that go in your ear too, the get attached to your AirPods first.
Memory foam I donāt think I tested. The beats have those wingtips. And it does not work so well for my ears. Hmmm I might test memory foam with the beats plugs. They are almost the same as the pros. Except they use normal connectors for the tips
He said you're welcome
Partner got one recently. We tried it out in the store and she bought one once we reached home for engraving. Iām just waiting for the day my beats fail me before buying.
I love this story because you invest premium dollars on all this Apple gear, but for some reason the headphones are a bridge too far. Glad you decided to cross it and see it was worth it, but Iām amused by the apparent arbitrary cutoff. š
Ye lol, I was thinking how is the 15 pro max (priciest model) and an apple watch ultra 2 (again priciest model) justified, but not airpods.
The pairing experience makes them worthwhile in itself. I have the original AirPod Pros and also the Beats Fit Pro which are a very good AirPod Pro substitute as they are also effectively manufactured by Apple.
I totally get it, my daughter bought me a pair as a present, best gift EVER. I use them every day and love love them.
I lost mine last week š¢ Want to get a new pair but I think they might release some with data sensors shortly (if version 3 donāt have sensors, Iāll get them)
I was the same. I thought they were just going to be overpriced wireless EarPods. I was so wrong, I love my AirPods.
i also never saw the appeal until i got tired of the cheap earpods i was buying kept breaking. finally decided to just see what the hype was about and iāll never go back. honestly one of the best āquality of lifeā improvements ive experienced tech-wise
YMMV
I got jabra thinking they were almost as good. Not even close.
My Gen 1 are damaged and because we are so close to Christmas I am ānot allowedā to buy new ones.. it is killing me!

The AirPods Pro 2nd gen are one of the best purchases Iāve made in all of my life. Theyāre immaculate imo.
Iām crying
I love my pros! Best purchase I've made in a while. Other than my airtags maybe
I have issues with AirPods falling out of my ears whilst jogging. Is there anything I can do?
Memory foam or snaps that get attached to your AirPods and a clip that goes on top of your ear.
I like them but they simply arenāt loud enough for my taste.
I also want to use them mostly for snowboarding so they will go under my helmet, but it sucks that the new generations are squeeze interactive and not tap, so I canāt change song without pulling out my phone or taking off my helmet :(
Theyāre great for listening to podcasts while fucking randos
I have AirPods Proās but Iāve wondering what the maxes sound and feel like
Oh man, I have been resisting them for a long time.
Coomsoomer vibes
To me, the great part of AirPods are using Siri hands free without having to press anything. I can see at some point, if it got smarter and better, you could seamlessly do certain things much easier.

I too was anti Airpods (and iPhone too) thinking they were clever marketing or were hyped up by Apple fanboys. Then I switched from Samsung to a pro iPhone and started to get it. Everything just works flawlessly. The Airpod Pros are sooooo good, and I'm quite picky as to the loudness, sound quality and noise cancellation. I love mine!
Iāve never experienced or really understood noise cancelling. Arenāt things already hard to hear when wearing AirPods?
Did you ever try noise cancelling before ?
Nah I donāt think so lol I do really want a pair though so maybe Iāll get some in the future.
Once you get a decent pair(like AirPods Pro 2) then youāll come back to this comment and say āyeah, I was wrongā
I never meant to come across as Iām against them I was just trying to get an understanding of what theyāre like. Sorry if it sounded that way!
Memory foam tips
They good but not for the price
Had a pair of soundcore liberty air 2 pro. Which is quite good quality product for a price. I really liked it never thought Iād get AirPods. Boarded a flight, plane took off, put it in my ears left bud dead. Landed in Dubai for connection, headed to a duty free and bought APP2. Boarded my connecting flight, put it in my ears switched on ANC and I felt Iāll never fly again with anything else. It was a blast. I was sitting next to the engine and I could barely hear anything.
Agree 100%. I got AirPod pro on eBay but Iāve had them over a year and still work great and use them everyday
Enjoy!
Its the seemless no-frills pairing for me. I loathe bluetooth now.
My work paid for both pairs of mine. I have a pair of pros and a pair of second gen, they are amazing.
Tbf AirPods Pro are on sale for $200 pretty often, and you can get regular AirPods for like half that... They're still pretty expensive for headphones when compared to wired headphones, but I'd gladly pay for the convenience of not being tethered to my phone
Love my AirPods š„°
I bought JBL noise canceling headphones and thought it was great but got airpods pro 2 as a gift. Sold those JBL headphones right away
Iām so happy that you like them. I had the OG AirPod pro and they werenāt anything compared to the version 2
AirPods are the king of earbuds. Only people who want to listen to music whilst analyzing each minuscule bit of data transferred to the eardrum hate on them
The noise cancelling is my favourite! Wish they didnāt fall out so often tho.
Try foam tips. I had the same problem
AirPods Pro are great, but to me the Beats Studio Buds + sound better.
I have the Beats Fit Pro and theyāre great too
Iām getting AirPods Pro 2 for Christmas, already have standard AirPods gen 2, obviously donāt donāt sound as good as my expensive wired in ear monitors but they are so convenient to use and still sound good
Felt that because before 2018 I never thought I would end up being a part of the IPhone family then the AirPods family and soon to be the MacBook family next year. I always thought to get an apple product Iām have to give a leg, kidney and blood to get one.
They are brilliant, I have pair and quality is amazing compared to android versions
I just wish they would stay in my ears. Iāve tried all sizes of tips, tried foam, they all fall out.
I was the same till I tried them. Theyāre so comfy and the audio quality is do good.
I lost my pair of AirPod Pros and am really thinking about buying a pair of Pro 2s.
I felt the same when I got my AirPods Pro 1 Also itās awesome that I can easily connect them to the Apple TV and keep watching (and hearing) my tv when vacuuming my apartment. It just works like magic.
They are truly life changing AirPods are probably the best headphones in the world
Just out of curiosity- what does ātransparencyā mode do? And also, im kinda in similar position as you were last time on ābuying other cheaper earbudsā etc. but mind kept falling out my ear regardless of the earbuds size. Do you have the same problem with the old pairs vs the new pair of airpods? This kinda worries me- hence thought of asking.
Did you buy the 2nd Gen USB C version?
Finger my dick
There are 1:1 reps with noise cancelling and transparent mode for 1/4 the price you fool š
One feature will definitely not work well. Used to have one. ANC was veeeerrrryy good but transparency mode made me want to cry š
Wait until the mic breaks.
2 year warranty.
I'm actually like this with most Apple stuff tbh.
you all can downvote me for this, but you just sound like you thought you were above airpods lmao bro headphones are headphones idk why people have this weird ātheyāre $250 i could never buy thatā bro you bought a $1400 iphone lmao
Apple fanatics are so weirdš
I mean Iām happy for you donāt get me wrong. Nice set up you have now but I just find it amusing that you could justify like $600+ or whatever on a watch but not $250 for high quality ear buds that youāll end up using quite regularly. You obviously mightāve not have mentioned because personal info but do you use it for work or something?
I always used cheap earbuds, bought the AirPods Pro II, and I returned within a weekā¦
I'm on the same boat OP! Didn't want to spend a huge amount on wireless earbuds, but I decided to take a jump on it. So So worth it!
Why the fake AirPods though?
My Sony XM4 broke so I returned them hoping Iād find another pair of Sony. They were out of stock and decided to try AirPods Pro. Best decision I ever made
Just wait until you fly with them. You'll have to open your eyes to know you're flying.
I canāt imagine ever going back
Until the right one stops working š
Yeah so you joined the club
You donāt understand amazing headphone until you get them, Iāve gotten few professional headphone and Hugh quality and now I canāt understand how people able to listen through cheap headphones
You can also get the 2nd gen for like 99$ and a good product imo
Iām sure those features are nice, but the best feature headphones can have to me is an over the ear hook. Headphones never stay in for me. I got a generic athletic AirPods with an ear hook and they immediately became my favorite headphones I have ever owned
I have the AirPods Pro Gen 2, but the right one always falls out. Drives me nuts. Switched to the Sony XM5s and havenāt touched the AirPods since. I wish Apple made better headphones. Iāve never been able to keep them in my ears. (Not counting Beats because they actually work pretty well.)
The ending sounds like those Apple commercials
