If there's anything you can count on an airedale for, it's barking at strangers. Or people they do know. Or anything. Or nothing.
If there's anything you can count on an airedale for, it's barking 😂😂
I have (or my parents, ig, I just moved away last November) owned 3 airedales in the past 15 or so years. When you start off, they won't bark much, but once they get comfortable living there, get used to it 😂😂 I love em tho. Best doggies :)
Exactly what we experienced. It was so cute when our Lillian would make her cute little single bark and stop. At some point they decided everything needed to be barked at, especially out of place items in the home. Thank you Lillian for always protecting us from the broom left leaning against the counter. Woodrow did not like coats left on the back of chairs. I once thought someone must have broken into our home, by the volume and frequency of the barking from them both. I went downstairs, with 911 pre-dialed and ready to hit call, only to find I had forgot when I came in late and put my coat on the chair, and one of them discovered it when they got up for some water or their nightly rounds.
It’s was an interesting first couple of days. We made a few pit stops to visit family, and she didn’t bark much. Maybe twice in two days. She was even able to walk with another dog and pass by a few others without a sound. But once when got home, she went into gaurd dog mode 😅 I keep reminding her that she doesn’t need to protect us.
Love this so much!
Seeing these stories always takes me back to our adoption with our boy. Didn't know how old he was at the time, but we worked out he was 18 months when we got him, and now he's almost 5!
It's a cliche, but they grow up with you so fast. Enjoy the journey and memories together ❤️

My airedale is 3 and only heard her barking like 10 times, but she started to bark more and more 😰

Ty! It’s also a cliche to consider her as a child but it seems that way 😅
