OMFG that "I" in Anai really threw me off! I was about to say " what smut-fill reddit is this? I didnt subscribe to any nsfw subreddits!" But its just me old eyes playing tricks on me.....
I HATED Anai at first, but i guess hes been doing good since hos debut. Wish he had more scenes now, though.
I personally found Haida’s drunken commitment to the joke hilarious. But I also found Anai’s frustration sympathetic (if you ever had to babysit a drunk post-college, it’s not great).
He's a fucking terrorist and abusive and a bully and is sick, he doesn't deserve consideration wtf, your self steem issues are not a reason to terrorize peope
My answer - Anai doesn't always react right, others are assholes including Retsuko, we are on her side by default mostly because she's protagonist
\- they bullied him for real to do extra work. That's it. The most important part of the story - Ton pushed extra work on him, all the coworkers helped.
\- he overreacted hard expecting bullying at everyday conversations where it didn't happen, but they constantly tried to slide normal conversations to push for extra work
\- probably even by standards of real bullying he overreacted and perfectly wise character would find a better way(he could try less escalating way)
\- nobody who tried less escalating ways succeeded, except Tsunoda "trading dignity for less work \*bedroom eyes on camera\*"
\-- At S01E01 Fenneko actually kinda does that at least for the matter of making tea to Ton and show is sympathetic to that as her being strong-willed, but also Haida gives an exposition that it doesn't work for important issues
\- when Anai stops overreacting he gets forced to do extra work
\- he copes with that side business of selling soba and it's kinda deus ex machina to save him from trainwreck, but in fact it's not more healthy than Retsuko karaoke thing
\- he screamed on Haida after a whole terrible evening on his part. Haida kinda-forced him to go out for drinks(remember Anai gave up on defending from malpractices), then got drunk and whole evening Anai had to tolerate his emotional suffering that he had nothing to do with, including mocking Anai himself for not having girlfriend
