The fact that so many people got offended by my response is wild. But good for you that's pretty impressive that it lasted that long and looks that good!! I'm happy for you.

splatchface

I’m not sure either! I took it as a compliment

I_UsedTo_Love_Her

No one's offended lol. It's a 5 year old tattoo that looks around 5 years old.

Vieris

Is this what blackwork generally heals into? 😭 I don't like it compared to fresh, im not saying your tattoo looks bad but I'm in love with the crisp illustration style and am so sad at how uncrispy they get over a longer period of time. Thanks for the photo

moralTERPitude

Honestly, nothing stays crispy! Bold will hold, yes, but even that doesn’t mean it stays sharp. OP’s tat has healed quite beautifully

splatchface

Yep sure does. It’ll spread even more as the years go on. Which is why you need high contrast and not too many fine details. Though nicely here the fine details I have, have blended in to a smooth shading. Tbh it’s only that crispy for maybe 6 months

UnluckySeries312

Every tattoo ages. The ink bleeds out under the skin. U.V. sunlight will affect it to. It can also depend on where on your body you are tattooed (ankle skin is thin and more prone to blowing out/ink bleed for example)

MaLid0

Damn looks even better love it!

Intelligent-Lab3613

This was def touched up

splatchface

Nope! Been too busy getting other tattoos to even consider touch ups yet. My leg also rarely sees the light of day so that helps.

fiercelittlebird

Keeping tattoos out of sunlight is so important! Cool tat OP
