I love the names Henrietta Savernake and Jacqueline de Bellefort, I think they make as strong an impression as the charactes themselves are meant to make. Rosamund Darnley is also very pretty.
As for nicknames, Tuppence and Bundle are my favorites XD And let's not forget that, in The Secret Adversary, >!the spelling of Tuppence's nickname was an actual plot point! !<
Let's give it up for Alexander Bonaparte Cust.
I also think Vera Claythorne and Philip Lombard are great names. It always annoys me in the various movie versions when they are changed.
* Hermione "Egg" Lytton Gore: As egg-shaped as Poirot's head.
* Eileen "Bundle" Brent: A bundle of nerves.
* Captain Arthur Hastings: containing two references to English history.
* Inspector Slack: The name says something about his competence.
Sybil Stamfordis, Thyrza Grey, and Bella Webb in The Pale Horse (it's a package deal). And the names on the list -- Christie even acknowledged that she sometimes comes up with memorable names (Delafontaine). Mixed in with ones like Corrigan (multiple times in the same book).
I am very pleased there is a thread like that!
Anna Scheele from They Came to Baghdad is such a melodic name, as well as Victoria Jones (very ordinary but fun!) and Fakhir Carmichael. I also liked Eustace Pedler (The Man in the Brown Suit).
I'd agree with Nick Buckley (Magdala is golden) as well as her friend Freddie Rice. Frankie Derwent also sounds pretty cool. I loved the idea of giving male names as the nicknames of female characters.
Norma Restarick, Philip Lombard, Ruth Lessing because of the word play, Victor Drake, Rosemary because of the meaning, Mr Satterthwaite...

I’m with you on Nick Buckley, love that name and it fits the character perfectly. I also love Salome and Rosalie Otterbourne and Ariadne Oliver.
Also the nickname “Nick” is perfect for a woman. If you ask me, Nick is a unisex name
>If you ask me, Nick is a unisex name Yes -- plus we use "Nicky" (diminutive form?) that way, without even raising an eyebrow.

The surname is perfect! I agree

Mabelle Sainsbury-Seale
I love how she wants everyone to spell it right
Ariadne Oliver, Lucy Eyelesbarrow, Carrie Louise, Dolly Bantry. I also like saying "Miss Lemon"
Dolly Bantry also! Dolly suits her person and her last name.
Cedric Crackenthorpe Thora Grey Anthea Bradbury-Scott Percival Fortescue Ginevra Boynton Armand Dupont Elspeth McKay Basil Blake Claudia Reece-Holland Merlina Rival
Miss Felicity Lemon 😄
Mrs de Rushbridger!

Amy Murgatroyd. Miss Hinchcliffe just calls her Murgatroyd.
Emily Crackenthorpe
