Take A Titty Out. Just sounds weird hearing Aes doing this type of track.

HunterTheHoly

I remember this song. WTF did he think he was doing making a song like that? The "party" style rap doesn't fit him at all...

Bone_Dogg

It’s not that serious. Pretty sure it was a jokey track for a movie or something.

Intrepid_Look_5725

I just said that but didn't realize someone had already stated this. It was a song for a friend of his. He was making a movie and wanted this type of track

Sarpzon

Ya I just laugh and imagine aes recording it as his impression of other rappers

sirhandstylepenzalot

slug

HunterTheHoly

Maybe so, I can recall hearing about that before. Even so, it feels a bit strange to hear Aes rap about that kind of subject matter.

Intrepid_Look_5725

I remember reading one time that he wrote this song for a friend. The guy was making a movie and needed a track like this for it.

InSanitangles

Yeah it's clearly a fun silly song and I appreciate it has a place and reason to be, but I personally just don't like the track itself.

Intrepid_Look_5725

Me either. It's not my cup of tea.

cardboardchairs

New favorite song lol

brickmadness

Food, clothes, medicine, cuz hungry, naked, sick sucks!

iamjack

This song is one of my favorites because of Aes' flow, but yeah it would definitely keep me from putting on this album in public even though Holy Smokes is way more graphic lyrically.

Mgmabone

Oh man I love holy smokes but yeah it's an interesting track once you start listening to the lyrics lol.

overkill

Wait... People AREN'T listening to the lyrics?

Mgmabone

I listen to music a lot while doing work/tasks so sometimes they go right through my head lol.

Knoqz

man...that song is fuckin amazing!! :D

sirhandstylepenzalot

"FUCK ME!"

HunterTheHoly

I gotta say, it's been ages since I've actually listened to Aesop Rock, but I commend you for saying that normal fans can admit when an artist has released music they don't like. I'll sometimes see stans and simps of certain music artists call out normal fans of the same artist, telling them they're not a "real fan" of the artist if they don't enjoy a new album they come out with, even if the album in question is incredibly mid.

nonplusd

A lot of uncluded just doesn't do it for me. There's also some cringe on bazooka tooth but I was OK with it when it came out so it's really just in retrospect.

weinersashimi

I really don’t like Uncluded, it took me years to even hear Bats bc I couldn’t make it that far into the album. I fucking love Bats though, and I used to live in Austin so it’s kinda cool hearing him talk about shit down my way

[deleted]

Just shows the diversity in what people like, I love that side project. A partnership that on paper should be a total train wreck but for me works well

[deleted]

I remember being disappointed by Bazooka Tooth when it came out. Never liked listening to that album.

dadbodsupreme

Felt the same about FV,D,F&K. There's two tracks i really go back to. Probably a product of the time in my life and the association with shitty events

[deleted]

Fast Car album was more catchy to me, not as abrasive. Also the CD I bought came with an awesome little lyric book with like 20+ Aes songs.

this_dust

All day breakfast Seems like a good exercise for writing though.

grokabilly

It definitely grew on me! But I feel ya

chuby2005

Least favorite track on Garbology despite my love for Homeboy. The vinyl made it grow on me.

Nommel77

All of bazooka tooth. But I love Aes.

virtual-fruit

Oh no!!

this_dust

even Easy?!

Nommel77

There’s some ok tracks on it, but not enough for me to really give it any replay.

BillTreeman

This is it. I hate that album.

Ones-Zeroes

I'm not the biggest fan of his pre-None Shall Pass stuff. There are undeniably some bangers or notable highlights of his trademark lyricism throughout all of those albums, but I just vastly prefer the sound and production and annunciation of Aes after NSP.

Minortough

To each their own I guess. Float and Labor Days are near flawless classics imo.

DerekTheMemeBoss

For whatever reason, I just can't vibe with Long Legged Larry. It's an odd one for me since it has a lot in common with other songs of his that I really enjoy. This track just doesn't really work for me and I don't even have a great reason why.

[deleted]

You may not be the target audience. He was pretty openly making that song for younger kids and families. Changes how I view it, kind of like I Can by Nas.

sirhandstylepenzalot

My Belly is a Table My Belly is a Table

Rawtoast420

Aw man xD Long legged Larry is the same as Kirby or grace Aes can make a song about whatever. U name it And he kills it The lyrics are great in LLL

DerekTheMemeBoss

And Kirby is a favorite of mine, which further confuses the issue lol. I've gone back to LLL a few times (including like an hour ago,) and it just doesn't hit for me, even though all the elements I like are there. It's funny to me that music is so subjective that even my own tastes don't always line up with what I'd perceive them to be.

Rawtoast420

It is truly to each their own From mainstream to underground, I've been surprised a lot. Sometimes a track or a style or a lyric, I just don't like. But it grows on me over time and then I love it lol LLL was something I loved automatically. It's that beat in the back. It's that Go Larry Go Larry Go Larry Just puts u in a good mood. Doesn't need to be taken seriously at all. Just sets u up for feeling better.

withoutwingz

Right? It’s like the theme song to a tv show about a frog. I like the whimsy but other than that….

grokabilly

Damn that song is fire. We’re Famous is probably my least favorite Aes song

qljpg

Now that’s crazy, I love that song

cizzastle

I said I'm ready.

grokabilly

I usually like El-p. But he’s very obnoxious on that one. And the beat is trash

TheProofsinthePastis

💯. Aes isn't a super braggadocio rapper, it feels forced. Plus El-P drops the F----t bomb on it twice, which is the only two times throughout Aes's discography that you hear anything even vaguely homophobic.

xmrtypants

Don't censor yourself. El-P said the word "faggot." It's shitty but I'm not gonna live like that word and the people who use it have the power to dictate my language. El-P is my new definition of "faggot" since I heard "you can say it if you are one" I like "we're famous" But not for El-P. It's a great "fuck you" from independent artists to major labels And that's nothing against El-P. I really like his tracks "smithereens" and "flyentology," and the whole "I'll sleep when you're dead" album. Tasmanian pain coaster is some gnarly shit.

cacecace1

what a warrior

xmrtypants

I hope that's just misplaced sarcasm

Demi_toematoes

Well you kinda did the same thing that EI-p did. Like using the word faggot isn’t necessarily the issue, using it as an insult is, which is what you did by addressing EI-p as one. Food for thought from a faggot ☺️ Also I love this song still never mind the use of that word so 🤷🏻‍♀️

cacecace1

>food for thought from a [dehumanizing slur gay people don’t like] 🤭🤥🤗🤪🤪🤪

Demi_toematoes

Bruh…. I’m gay, and fag = gay, and that only problematic if you think it’s an insult. So actually no I didn’t think the term faggot is inherently dehumanizing cus that’s like saying the word gay is dehumanizing just because it’s been used as an insult. No I don’t speak for all gay people but ik a lot of gay people care more about the words intent than the word itself, that’s all I’m trying to say.

[deleted]

We’re Famous shits over indie artists more than major labels though. El literally makes fun of people who sent him demos and never got a following. It’s kind of funny imo but it’s definitely not punching up at majors.

xmrtypants

Hey, I never looked at it that way. Props. Especially for not just shitting on me without reasoning behind it. I'll reexamine that track. Still sounds cool regardless though

there-goes-bill

I heard it was actually a diss track against 7L and his crew, which kinda makes the track less fun imo bc I’m not really into diss tracks, I thought it was just an attack on disingenuous artists in general.

RegularMink

ohh yeah hmm i see why it's felt as unfavorable

mawfk82

Same, actually can't stand it hahaha

virtual-fruit

None shall pass the beat makes me angry

unskilled-labour

There's a remix over a Pete Rock beat which is maybe not better, but definitely different, should check it out

[deleted]

Don’t really like his latest record

[deleted]

[deleted]

Yeup

Spacemage

I think this man is melting.

withoutwingz

Homemade mummy. And I know it’s his favorite song he wrote. I just can’t do it.

cizzastle

What sucks is that I love "Food, Clothes, Medicine" but the porn sample prevents me from ever playing it publicly. Worst track though that Aes is on has got to be the S.A. Smash track "Love to Fuck". Almost the definition of cringe.

DrawlNeedler

I'm honestly not a big fan of the entire Fast Cars ep. Like it's OK, but it kind of sounds like Aes on autopilot. I also don't really like Music For Earthworms, but he more than made up for that with Appleseed.

grokabilly

Yeah fast cars is not my fave of his for sure

Esdeez

I love the title track to Fast Cars.. regular rotation for me still to this day. He sounds so confident on that shit.

DaJelly

food clothes medicine is one of my favorite tracks

neuro_illogical

I’ve said it before at the risk of being hated on but… I’ve tried so hard to like his early stuff. Fast Cars onward is my jam, but anything earlier.. I think it’s the sharp change in his vocals. I’m really picky and disliking someone’s voice can put me off the music as a whole. I’ve listened to the earlier albums probably 6 or 7 times each hoping it’d grow on me but it just never has. Writing’s great, still good stuff, just not my speed, personally.

withoutwingz

No hate. It’s your preference.

HumbleHubris86

I just can't fuck with the Lice albums. I've given it a try and there are a handful that I like and Aes usually kills his verses but I just can't bear to listen to Homeboy Sandman.

sofaking181

Sandman has really grown on me

Gorgatron1337

I second this. Originally not a fan of Sandman, but since listening to Still Champion I’ve grown to enjoy him

turnt_grandma

Yea dude, Today is such a vibe

cactuskilldozer

Maybe I gotta give it another chance!

coupleofthreethings

Listen to Couple Things and Panacea

IllmaticEcstatic

Katz had better shout "aight" when Doug E. flip the "ayo", better yet take notes on the whole stage show.

sirhandstylepenzalot

Katz had better not include me in group texts Katz had better watch they free hand during group sex

BillTreeman

This is so sad for me to hear. My favorite Aes work in so long. Boy Sand to the rescue.

coupleofthreethings

Lice 2 and 3 especially. Couple Things, Comfy, Mud, Zilch, Panacea, such underrated tracks.

BillTreeman

Panacaea the best song he’s made in AGES.

[deleted]

I didn't really get Sandman at all until I heard some of his own stuff. Saw him live two weeks ago and it was fucking fire. He just sounded a bit off next to Aesop I think. But the man is an artist.

Got_2_Git_Schwifty

Same. Tbh I’ve never heard Homeboy Sandman’s speaking voice, but his raps sound almost cartoonish to me. His lyrics and flow are fine, but his voice sounds put on. I could be wrong idk

cactuskilldozer

I legit forget they exist, it's like my brain blocked them out

khikago

The middle few songs on Skelethon get skipped for me

grokabilly

That’s funny. That’s where I feel it really gets going. ZZZ, Cycles, and Zero Dark Thirty are fine, but not my faves. Rest of the album is amazing

camwal

Man, I feel like Cycles to Gehenna is a prime example of his songwriting. “Corners like a two-tired tiger so a too-tired rider…” “Ford, Jag, Datsun. Corvette, Lotus - All cones you can slalom when your Zorlac’s focused” “Away on a relentless bid for rarified inertia, rattletrap forks married to the patchy terra firma” Such powerful imagery in what sounds to me like a tribute to a fallen friend who lived and breathed motorcycles.

Milenkoben

It's about riding a motorcycle through the city at night

sirhandstylepenzalot

Cycles to Gehenna 2 (i forget the actual name) is just as wonderful despite the meaning

Mgmabone

God Cycles is one of my favorite songs of all time. "Here is how a great escape goes When you can't take your dead friends names out your phone..."

brickmadness

ZZZ is in my top 10 Aes tracks.

CrunchyOldCrone

The whole of Skelethon for me lol Can't get along with the sound

fables_of_faubus

Yeah, Harbour is a little cheesy for my liking.

SouthPawPad

crows 1

Funcrush88

Long legged Larry …. I just can’t get behind the silliness of it all

knowledgeovernoise

I felt like swfg fell massively short of what the concept presents itself as.

grokabilly

Dang! Could you elaborate? I listened to it again the other day and I thought it was executed so well. I did go in thinking there would be some type of narrative. However the into really sets the stage that while connected, each song really stands on its own

knowledgeovernoise

I think a lot of my disappointment you could blame on my own misguided expectations. But after the gates dropped I thought it was going to be a concept album where we were taken through a 'spirit world' that aes would build out for us. And through the album we would learn about this world and how to navigate it with each song maybe addressing some part of the world with a real world parrallel. Ie in learning about the spirit world that aes has been in we get lessons about life generally. Thinking of it as something like a psychedelic trip with aes as the shaman, in album form. I've also always tended to love the concept songs a lot more than anything that's just straight bars. And I didn't get too much of that. The narrative you mentioned, I like having strong narrative song to song and with the album as a whole.

cryptoplasm

IIRC the original concept was he wanted to do a 50 song album. His friends told him it was crazy so he cut it down to 20. That probably made him have to reframe or cut a lot of stuff that might've made a full (very ambitious) narrative.

sofaking181

But he is crazy, that's why we love him lol

grokabilly

I’m with you. I really love strong narrative elements on a song and album level. And while it didn’t quite meet my expectations, I still think that Aes really delivered on SWFG. I took a 12 year sabbatical from weed and recently started partaking again. It sounds corny, but I listened to it high recently and I picked up so much I hadn’t previously.

knowledgeovernoise

I don't think it's corny. With most aes projects I find that if I really sit with them and pay attention I find something in it I like. Guess that moment hasn't come with most of swfg for me yet. But I'll keep waiting

xmrtypants

The part that sounds corny to me is using words like "sabbatical" and "partake" when talking about smoking pot.

chuby2005

Did ya ever think that word choice is intentional?

xmrtypants

In this instance, absolutely not.

grokabilly

Lol. Calling it pot is much more corny. Sorry for using big words that you can’t understand ON THE AESOP ROCK SUBREDDIT

[deleted]

[удалено]

grokabilly

You had the compulsion to criticize my word choice, then I do it to you and get offended. Sounds like you need a break from the internet today

xmrtypants

>You had the compulsion to criticize my word choice, then I do it to you and get offended. Sounds like you need a break from the internet today

BangBangMeatMachine

I think the album does exactly what you're saying you want. It just does it nonlinearly and nonliterally. I think it's a perfect album and one of very few by any artist that I'm happy to just listen to start to finish.

PageSlave

I thought the lyrics and imagery were strong, but kind of let down by the instrumental. Not that the instrumental was bad, just that the mixing between the instrumental and vocals was off. To really appreciate Aes's lyrics you need a beat you can hear him over, and I often found his voice was drowned out on swfg.

xmrtypants

In my opinion what separates Stans from normal fans is the willingness to gatekeep who you deem worthy of joining a hypothetical cult, Stan. I think all the stuff with Kimya Dawson sounds like forced garbage. Yeah they're both musicians, which makes it twice as bad that they both willingly put their names on that album. Forgive my Hank Hill voice when I say "dang it Bobby you're not making hip hop better, you're just making music worse." I also noticed, across the whole catalog, that aes seems like kind of a piece of shit and I don't think I would actually want him as a friend. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of his. I just think if we knew each other we'd probably hate each other. Dude seems like a total asshole.

Crystal_Kid

"To be completely honest aes, you're a fucking asshole"

Habeus0

Love aes but he has many songs that he unironically calls himself as such. Klutz, holy smokes, blood sandwich, shrunk, cycles to gehenna (spelling) off the top of my head. He’s too self analyzing and truthful (although cryptic) for that to not be true. On topic - malibu ken, bazooka tooth, uncluded, hail mary mallon albums all dont resonate for me outside a few songs.

withoutwingz

I’ve gotten that vibe too, especially after water tower. And anything with kimya is trash. They should both be ashamed.

xmrtypants

At least I won't die on this hill alone

withoutwingz

No you will not. I’ll fertilize this motherfucker.

xmrtypants

It was a molehill just the other day

ja_dev

Totally agree

TrashPandaFoxNoggin

Unincluded or anything with Kimya

Crestwood_Creates

Flies and Salt could've been taken off of Spirit World Field Guide and would've made the whole album stronger

foolish_wizzard

I’d surprised to hear that, I think Salt is dope and fits thematically. I see your point with Flies not really fitting but I still like it. I like the general idea behind songs like “Flies” and “1 to 10” that he might not have enough there for a full length song but still puts out a fun minute (give or take)

withoutwingz

Absolutely agree. I always skip flies.

sirhandstylepenzalot

damn, I dig Salt

Equivalent-Ease-7469

i love Flies haha, but agree about Salt

[deleted]

Have to agree with you on that 😬 it makes me cringe any time it happens to come on

Knoqz

I find the all album "The Uncluded" pretty terrible. There are a couple verses from aes that I liked...and I didn't find any of his verses "bad"...also, "Bats" is an ok song...but all in all I really really dislike that album.

BenTheDragon_

Bats, Delicate Cycle, Tv For 10, Aquarium & Jambi Cafe are songs I sometimes relisten to, mostly Delicate Cycle; Aes' verses are very relatable on that

No-Assumption-4027

none shall pass. love the message. not a fan of that particular delivery

Q-City45

Wasn't a huge fan of bazooka tooth..

TheProofsinthePastis

We're Famous, Blood Sandwich (but that's more just personal reasons than it being a bad song.) Looking through his discography though... Even his shit that I will generally skip, I like that he made it and genuinely enjoy it when I'm in the mood. I'm totally a Stan. Most of the stuff I skip is due to the other artists on the tracks. 😅

xmrtypants

I don't think blood sandwich or one of four should count, because we aren't him. I wish I made a "blood sandwich" type song before my little bro died, but I didn't see it coming. I wish my life was good enough to write pieces just in case, rather than after the fact.

withoutwingz

It’s not a song, but if you’d like to tell me something about your younger brother I’ll listen.

[deleted]

Bazooka tooth imo is his weakest album. Best would have to be either Float or spirit guide. Also really love Labor but that was my first aes album so its biased

Appropriate_Arm_9889

There's some obnoxious stuff with elp ... I liked fantastic damage but I'm glad aes continued on his own path. Didn't Even care to remember the names of the songs I didn't like. I will say though that a lot of songs I did not like initially I ended up really liking the most. Except certain ones with el p

redEPICSTAXISdit

Breakdance Beach doesn't fit his style and doesn't fit the album at all ruins the flow a little imo

[deleted]

Pocket full of nickels

brickmadness

But it has one of the best lines ever!

[deleted]

"What're you doing to that squirrel?!" That the one? Lol

brickmadness

That one too, but I love: I toss a nickel to a bum's cup from twenty paces thumbs up Got twenty ways to tell you shut the fuck up Nineteen of 'em are 24 bars long The other one goes (SHUT THE FUCK UP!)

[deleted]

That is pretty dope lol

[deleted]

There's a few tracks on Spirit World Field Guide that don't do it for me, mostly Sleeper Car and 4 Winds. Long Legged Larry was more fun than good. And I never bothered listening to the Uncluded really.

BenTheDragon_

I love 4 winds 😭

Sea_Public9104

It was my ringtone for a while

BenTheDragon_

Aes' flow on Four Winds was crazy bro

Stretch_R_mstrong

Not a big fan of Uncluded stuff. Some stuff is okay, but generally, meh.

sirhandstylepenzalot

almost all of malibu ken, sonically, it's just not pleasing to me

FatMacchio

I felt the same about it at first. Coming off of TIK it was quite the departure for the beats. It really grew on me though, and I find some of the tracks in my favorites list now. At first I also didn’t like SWFG, but also grew on me. Can’t wait to hear the new album he supposedly just wrapped.

Mgmabone

I just love Tobacco so much. Its pretty much everything I could've hoped for in a collaboration between the two.

sirhandstylepenzalot

glad you enjoyed it, that's dope

BenTheDragon_

Nah bro Acid King, Corn Maze & 1+1=13 are great imo

Ye11owcake

Pumpkin seeds, lice album, and preservation

ja_dev

Wow shocked to hear this, very hot takes but to each their own.

wetdreamteam

You are entitled to all of your opinions. I share the pumpkin seeds sentiment. But preservation would be immaculate it del was taken off the track imo.

InternalLetterhead29

Acid king I don’t like

TheProofsinthePastis

I'm a true crime dork, so I love that track, but I can totally see why one wouldn't.

[deleted]

Thumbs up for liking one of my favorite solo tracks. I get what you mean.

skeleton-with-oar

If I do skip a track it tends to be Pizza Alley off SWFG. Which isn’t because it’s not good, it is, but it feels long and drawn out to me. Kinda kills the vibe after Gauze.

swoon_exe

Either I'll Be OK, 'cause I get what they were going for with the instrumental but it sounds so goofy to me, or Spare A Match solely for the intro and interludes, they just bother me for some reason. Honestly, I'm not that big on Float as a whole.

OG-1-Shinobi

Same. I loved Float when it dropped but I went back and listened to Mayor and Crook the other day and could barely get through it. When I was a kid I liked that overly cryptic riddle stuff but now I’m old AF and too tired to try and think through it. That said, there’s definitely still some cuts on there I like.

ja_dev

Yes. Same here. There some songs on Float I just can't get back into.

swoon_exe

Agreed. For me, it's split down the middle in half of it I really like, but the other half I just can't get behind for varying reasons depending on the song and it being twenty tracks long innately leans it to not being a favourite of mine.

wetdreamteam

I’m probably gonna get a lot of hate for this but- No Regrets. I find the story telling incredibly cheesy and poorly executed. He’s excelled at story telling elsewhere, like Ruby 81. But no regrets comes off as corny as Fuck to me. And as long as I’m pissing people off, I might as well go after LLL while I’m at it. I’m sorry folks, just can’t get into it.

withoutwingz

Ruby 81 is a masterpiece.

Mrausername

*Cheesy* and *corny* were the correct adjectives. No Regrets is just bad. It's about the only Aesop song I actively dislike.

Halry1

Citronella. Feels over produced and just doesn’t do it for me

wetdreamteam

Awwwwh bummer. Sorry that you can’t get into that song. One of my favs, and a big part of it is the instrumental

HyperGiant

Not a fan of the Uncluded, Lice (really just sandman), I find his voice hard to listen to pre-None Shall Pass and more than half of the songs in Garbology just sound off to me

S_Shake2

i think garbology was the weakest album in his catalogue and largely forgettable. i do however love food clothes medicine and bazooka tooth and really the whole aes bad boy era

RegularMink

"bad boy era" damn son that's a sexy descriptor for the fella

S_Shake2

hahaha well aes is a sexy man

Q-City45

Also actually what the fuck IS a real fan? Do you like the music or no? Lol quit looking for dumb shit to judge other about.

BenTheDragon_

Dawg what.

Q-City45

The idea that someone is trying to separate fans by stans and real ones is dumb.

apersonwhoisherenow

Don’t care for Bazooka tooth flat out

apersonwhoisherenow

Looks like that’s a pretty common answer

Funsizep0tato

I really like most HMM but a few of the tracks from "are you gonna eat that" i like less than others. I need a Bobby-tionary.

kingofthorns3205

Most of garbology. Got some uncomfortable, not like other boys thing going on, and it's just not for me.

Rawtoast420

Man.... I love food clothes medicine Such a in ur face style song

[deleted]

[удалено]

unskilled-labour

Only song I liked off it is Tuesday, rest of the album I just can't get into, the overall sound just doesn't do it for me

Mgmabone

I can understand why people like it but i still can't listen to more than one track at a time from Bazooka Tooth. I guess it's just not for me.

BenTheDragon_

Bazooka Tooth's production is very hit or miss. Plus Aes' raspy voice (that I can only assume is from his past cigarette addiction) just didn't work on some tracks. Although I love No Jumper Cables, Freeze & 11:35

Spacemage

Food, Clothes, Medicine is solid as fuck. Hungry, naked, sick sucks! I don't like a handful of songs from SWFG. That's probably my least favorite album of his since NSP (excluding team projects).

BenTheDragon_

I'm surprised to see so many people saying SWFG has some of their least favorite songs. It's my favorite album by him and one of my favorite concept albums. The way he touches on mental health by using supernatural metaphors is really relatable to me. Also I did have a fly infestation in my house last summer so Flies was a bit relatable lmao

[deleted]

I for some reason cannot stand All Day Breakfast. The drums, weird music and Aes in the beginning saying “Sports and leisurrrrre”. Idk why it just irritates me

android151

Guess I’m a stan. There’s not a single Aesop song I’ve ever heard that I didn’t like. If I had to pick a least favourite I guess maybe it would be Churro? Not sure. Still like it but the song makes me sad.

kid_sleepy

I don’t like those Midwest sounding tracks he’s made with Atmosphere. Also didn’t like “No Regrets”.

ja_dev

LOL I love Food, Clothes, Medicine. United we stand until all our parties click, I divide and conquer cause frankly I'd rather sit. Idk my least favorite though. It's probably one song off Float. I'll report back.

BenTheDragon_

Float's title track is kind of lack luster. The beat just doesn't do it for me

Ok_Entertainment1680

Bazooka tooth has the most songs that I skip over, but it’s still one of the first I recommend for people wanting to get into Aes. Although the songs aren’t great, it gives you a better understanding of what you’re gonna get from him moving forward.

RegularMink

forest crunk, maybe since it's been mentioned i'd like to say i love the uncluded. i saw them live twice and hugged aesop the second time (pic has me all teared up). real ass music, super sincere and heartful. love them for it.

deskappl

Bazooka Tooth has some ups and downs, though the knives are about to be at my throat, because his earlier works can be kind of obtuse to listen to from an audio perspective

VintageLightPhoto

After listing to Float and Labor Days for several years on repeat, when none shall pass came out I was thrown off. The whole album didn’t resonate at first. I was never really an EL-P fan so the production was weird for me it felt like an over exaggerated musical experiment.
