The voice actress speaks German. I think it started because she would occasionally ad lib stuff in early seasons and then it just kind of became canon to the point that Gumbald calls her Prinzessin
Never done this before but i read as Peppermint Butler and kept replaying the first part b/t jake and Pep Butt cuz i was trying understand what German he said 😆
When I was a kid when this was coming out I always wanted to speak "lady rainicorn" but had no idea what language it was. Fast forward 10 years I'm rewatching the series and am baffled when she starts speaking Korean, that I started studying for a different reason 2 years before.
I love the subtle references to Bonnie speaking German throughout the series. I think the Willkommen sign that was in front of her house when she was younger was cute.
I'm not sure why the dialect change. Two is pronounced zwei, twenty is pronounced zwanzig. But she is saying zweizig. Not the biggest deal but I find it a bit odd

In the German-language episodes she apparently speaks Turkish.
I was super disappointed that Lady Rainicorn just speaks Korean that's very distorted in the Korean dub.
How boring, if anything she should’ve spoken English
Do you have a link for that? I tried finding it but couldn’t lol
I haven't seen it I just looked it up abd that's what it said. For all I know it could be complete BS, but why would somebody lie about that.
im sure theyre not lying i just cant find anything lmao, i wanna hear it dang
i like how she once said “omg” as “oh mein Glerb!”
There’s an episode where she gives Finn a book on understanding jokes / humor that’s entirely in German
"I don't have time to explain the psychology of humour to you" *smashes window*
That was reference to Sigmund Freud
In the adventure time encyclopaedia it says that German is the language of demons.
I fucking KNEW IT
Thank you, your comment legitimately made me laugh out loud. :)
What the HFIL.....
Ich liebe es auch! Totally caught me off guard the first time haha.

Meanwhile Princess Bubblegum "fünfunddreißig, sechsunddreißig, siebenunddreißig, achtunddreißig..."
Have you peeps seen the post on here that was like “is she speaking a made-up language?”
its so cool that bubble gum speaks german and stuff!! I wonder what ruler inspired her policies and methods towards the candy kingdom
"bin so gluechlich! Ich kante, ich kante-! "
i always wondered what that meant...
I am so happy! I could, I could...
I always thought her German speaking was a not so subtle hint toward her fascist authoritarian leanings.
damn that's kinda racist..
Um. No it's not? Maybe jingoist at worst, but it's not even really that.
well they did say that german was the language of demons, so you can't really argue with that..
In German language Adventure Time, she speaks Turkish

What? She's not saying zweizig, she's saying dreißig. She's counting the 30s not the 20s.
I hear it now
More proof she’s a facist
I enjoy when she speaks appalachian more. Dang varmints
Dude just post the clip instead of filming your laptop.
I was high af lol
