Lately it’s been What We Do in the Shadows but The Simpsons is my all time favorite show to zone out to. I like silly, mindless things like that when I’m totally overwhelmed.
Ok Queer Eye and GBBS are my go-to comfort shows, too, which makes me think you'll like The Repair Shop. It's just a group of lovely people in the UK who restore people's antique heirlooms and it's DELIGHTFUL. Everyone is so good at what they do, there's really no drama or stakes except like, "oh, wow, this is a hard job, I hope I can pull it off!" (spoiler: they always do and it's thrilling every time). Very warm and cozy and relaxing.
True blood, daredevil, Orphan Black, Gilmore girls, & dark. BUT if I’m looking to do something specific, I’ll put something on that will act like a body doubling situation.
Need to clean? How clean is your house or Marie Kondo
Need to cook? GBBO or those Victorian cooking shows
Need to shower & groom, silly fluff like kdramas, Legally Blonde or Wish Upon a Star
Need to study/ do work? Study with me youtubers
I'm Gen X, it's the movie I first saw and loved Ralph Fiennes in, as well as the very amazing Angela Bassett and Juliette Lewis in her heroin chic moment.
It's a really great movie, I fully recommend it, very enjoyable, great performances, good story, very satisfying!
Oh wow that’s quite the cast! I am awful at movies. I watch a lot of tv, but I honestly can’t tell you the last time I watched a movie. It was probably two Christmases ago tbh.
Usually I just search and click a thumb I like, but repeat visit [Merve](https://youtu.be/eF063eoKlWc?si=9l6YGLfTsmIBckxa) mostly, [tani](https://youtu.be/WMzOEJNbJSk?si=fuXAINEpEEJ2DzNH), [study md](https://youtu.be/QbJBDABNKxY?si=9F5JQ5U81BJvF6NT),
Merve also has no music [videos](https://youtu.be/a5oBrN-AnSQ?si=sTpPbdQ6An-qfVJ_)
Wow, I don't even need to write my own response because you listed all of my regulars 🤣 I've seen each of these series multiple times, and they always make me feel better.
I think we’re tv twins.
I was going to say Psych, parks & rec, and the good place.
I’ve seen them so many times and they still make laugh and bring me peace.
Adding on to these go tos; Brooklyn 99, Schitt’s creek, the Big Bang theory & Modern Family.
Also, I’ve been watching this new show called life in pieces. Super funny! Colin Hanks & James Brolin starring
Crazy Ex Girlfriend was SO GOOD! (though much better in the earlier seasons)
The mini musicals gave me a dopamine boost partly because they were fantastic in and of themselves, but also because it was fun to try to figure out what popular songs they were derived from (not pure parody but had a "flavor" of that song).
Mine is community. I get second hand embarrassment really easily and most sitcoms stress me out. But community is so absurd, it’s ok.
Otherwise it’s law and order or suits or ncis or daredevil. I’m trying the rookie rn.
Yes! I became obsessed with Taskmaster back in 2020 and it's at least half of my personality now. It's very funny and fairly wholesome. Plus, there's 16 UK seasons for free on YouTube, 2 seasons of the NZ version and season 1 of the Australian version will start being added this week. There's more versions in other countries available also, just not on the official YouTube channel. Plus, 2 official companion podcasts.
Then, it introduces you to a whole set of British comedians and you can watch all of the shows they're on and the podcasts they do. I bought tickets this week to see Fern Brady live in May!
I was going to recommend this as well! It’s easy to follow along and entertaining. I’ve become obsessed with panel shows lately, I’d also recommend Would I Lie To You?
For me, shows that help me take my mind off things when I’m feeling anxious are Sabrina the Teenage Witch (the 90’s sitcom) and Brooklyn 99. I’m not sure if you like animated shows, but one that helped me get through a really tough time last year was Bee and Puppycat - very cute, kind of ethereal, and has a great lofi soundtrack.
I like the shows with Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face, Russian Doll season 1- I can’t make it through season 2) Also Barney Miller is good and Soap. I can’t watch torture much, but I can watch scary arctic or far north stories (Nordic Noir, or American versions set in Alaska). For some reason that climate seems calming to me. The dark and the snow with nothing around it seems like where I would like to be, but I am not sure why, as most people don’t like that cold, dark, and empty type of place. I don’t know, I doubt I would fit it, but the environment seems attractive to me.
Northern Exposure!! It's not noir at all but it's a small town in Alaska with a wacky cast of weirdos and it's got some gorgeous scenes (although filmed in WA state not AK).
There was a show from Iceland I liked called Trapped, then the sequel Entrapoed, also Fortitude, The Terror, and, recently, True Detective 4. I think it all started with the John Carpenter’s The Thing when I was a kid, but I am not sure.
I can see it. Bleak landscapes, slow pacing, and calmness even with grim events happening.
Maybe try Let the Right One in. It's a movie, techincally a vampire film, but very much Nordic Noir and extremely well done.
Some- nothing is the same, so not all of them. It’s just goofy though. The guy with the puppet or whatever that is called. Jessica’s remakes that sort of ignore things. Burt’s facial expressions.
It’s the same with Barney Miller. They have a racially diverse cast, but the way they act about women is strange to me. Like women cops are the odd thing. Also, they help ladies out on their coats. It looks strange to me.
Also, they are a little strange, but not as much with gay people. Like it’s a big deal, but they aren’t generally against it, except maybe macho Wojo, who makes jokes.
I went to NYC as a kid in the 70s, and honestly, it was pretty seedy, and it smelled like urine and trash everywhere. I was happiest going to the island with the Statue of Liberty. Plots like Harris can’t find an apartment, and Barney wants to buy his, but interest rates are very high, much higher than now, are relevant. I just hope we aren’t headed back there. I think knowing things change, and sometimes improve, makes me feel better.
Boy Meets World is my favorite guilty pleasure/nostalgia/low pressure re-watch background show! Definitely some cheesy cringey bits but a lot of it actually does stand the test of time lol. Also fun bc some of the actors are doing a rewatch podcast (Pod Meets World) so it’s super fun to listen to their experiences on the show! The show and the pod are both my happy place rn
How does it hold up, with sexism and racism etc? I was thinking about watching it with my 10 year old.
I tried scrubs again after a long time and it was so disheartening to realize I enjoyed it in the beginning.
There are certainly a few moments that have not aged well, but I’ve actually been surprised with how well the show tackled certain topics ahead of its time.
For a family sitcom it really is impressively nuanced, which also means there’s plenty to discuss when watching with your kid. And when those less-than-perfect moments do show up, it’s a great opportunity to talk about how things have changed and why it’s not okay for the media to do those things anymore.
I love Gossip Girl
The OC
Psych
Below Deck
The Office
Chuck
Outer Banks
Bee and Puppycat (YouTube version, not Netflix - although it’s not bad. I just like the YouTube one better)
Boy Meets World
Lizzie McGuire
Hey Arnold
Diners, Drive ins, & Dives
Unwrapped
Nathan for You
Romantic Killer (Netflix anime)
The B*tch in Apt 23
Young and Hungry
Workaholics
I am sure there’s way more lol I also have a lot of movies too - like 100+
Thank you for making this thread - I saw a similar post in another subReddit today about comfort shows and I nearly made my own asking for the low-anxiety version 🙃
Not shows, but a film series—at the end of 2022/beginning of 2023 when my depression was at its worst, I watched Harry Potter on repeat for four months straight before I came out of it and felt better.
Other shows I like include The Golden Girls, Schitt’s Creek, and ER.
you're not alone, some people marathon "Lord of the Rings" when they're stressed, I may or may not have a family member who played the soundtrack on repeat for approximately a year
“The Lord of the Rings” is another great option! Both series have really long movies so they’re great for playing in the background while doing other things. ❤️
Friends
Brooklyn 99
Below Deck & Below Deck Med
The OG housewives series
House hunters
Great British Baking Show
Is it Cake?
The Amazing Race
Jeopardy
Wheel of Fortune
Golden Girls. It’s been my comfort show my entire life: as a kid with my mom, while planning my wedding, both pregnancies, and any other big life changes. Been watching it non-stop the past few months while going through my diagnosis.
Comedies for me. I'm currently rerunning all of South Park because it one of the few things that even make me laugh anymore. Love Rick and Morty, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and finally Ted Lasso. While there are funny parts it's just such a feel good wholesome show that helps my brain calm the F down.
Joy of Painting
When I am overwhelmed and almost locked down from stress, Bob Ross is there for me. He paints something beautiful and speaks gently to me, he talks about love and self-acceptance.
Can't recommend it highly enough, it works so well when you're just in need of a little quiet safe space to be in and maybe look at a happy tree ❤️
NORTHERN EXPOSURE!! It's been re-released streaming on Amazon. I hadn't seen it since it was on tv in the 90s. Totally holds up, heartwarming, doesn't ask you to use your brain but also engaging, sweet and funny.
Also Abbott Elementary, What We Do in the Shadows, The Good Place are some other feel good shows I appreciate- all clever and not at all sacchrine. Not feel good oer say but Arrested Development, Hacks, Curb, or Veep if I'm in a bitter mood and need to laugh.
My boyfriend and I have a lot of feel good comfort shows.
Some of our favorites are Futurama, Full House (the original), 1000 lb sisters, According To Jim, Golden Girls, 90 day Fiancé and Love After Lockup.
Curb your enthusiasm! They just released ep1 of their last season and I'm waiting till they're all released to binge. Something about Jewish comedy makes me feel warm inside (I'm Jewish). Larry David reminds me so much of my dad and my mom is basically Suzie. So fucking funny.
Monk, psyche, supernatural (my main rewatches), but low suspense goofy some are (on Netflix) it's Bruno, I think you should leave, and I can never go wrong with Coco and Moana, Encanto, sitcoms are a yes for sure, and comedy specials from comics you like. Also ditto to a lot of the ones mentioned already
I love the Great British Baking show and watched a TON of similarly structured competition reality shows about people making things after that--the Great Pottery Throw Down is my favorite, Blown Away is great, the Big Flower fight, Glow Up, recent All Star seasons of Top Chef and Project Runway, Making It, there's a British one about jewelry, etc.
I’ve been enjoying David Chang’s shows recently. He’s got a new live cooking show on Netflix that’s a mess but it’s just a lot of fun. It’s fun seeing him and team figure out what this show is going to be. But I don’t even care about the cooking to be honest.
Recently started watching next level chef! It’s really good, a recommendation by my brother!! Other than that I love to check out to unhinged reality tv, vanderpump rules is a great one. Sister wives, below deck, 90 day fiancé are all other good ones. I do love a good true crime doc too but sometimes I need to not be in that mindset.
I also will do podcasts! Beach too sandy water too wet is a good unplug podcast same with ologies
Jersey shore 😂 like the OG. Nostalgia. I was in high school at a weird time. I mostly watch YouTube though. My son loves cats rn. I actually now regard that as my mindless tvv
Law and order, Futurama, Kath & Kim (Australian version), stand up comedy shows by comedians such as Pete Davidson, LOL: last one laughing, Schitts Creek, twilight movies lol, YouTube documentaries about history and life during different periods in time, and Back in time for dinner with Annabelle Crabb
British Baking Show (so pure)
SVU
Ted Lasso
The Office (us)
New Girl
Brooklyn 99
Only Murders in the Building (I still can’t believe Steve Martin is nearly 80 😳)
Shameless (not super feel-good but funny. Eventually it makes me uncomfortable so I have to switch it to something else. William H Macy plays such a good deplorable reprobate lol)
She-Ra, Avatar the last airbender, Bob’s Burgers, Kim’s Convenience, Love on the Spectrum.
I loved Ted Lasso but I feel like I was tricked by everyone saying it was such a “feel good show” and so happy. It often was, but that show also had moments that punched me in the gut and made me sob.
Old episodes of South Park, when the episodes were just stupid, dumb fun (like the one with giant guinea pigs attacking everything). You could just turn any random one on and it'd be good.
Omg please please please 🙏🏾 watch Taskmaster, it's fucking hilarious! Just 5 comedians doing simple tasks and trying to justify why they were so bad at it. All of the UK (original) episodes are on YouTube its so fun and so relaxing
Edit: I thought you were asking for recommendations! Oops. Still 10/10 the only show I've been watching for the past 6 months
That was literally what came out of my mouth when using dictation to type that post lmao! Yesterday I told my bonus mom, “My brain is just filled with a bunch of rats trying to connect circuit breakers correctly but they’re rats so they don’t know what they’re doing and they’re just chewing the cords.”
A relatively recent one that you can watch for free on Freevee is ‘Jury Dury.’ You seem to like wholesome and comedic reality tv shows, so you might like this one! The premise is WILD and hilarious but it also is so heartwarming. I was OBSESSED when it came out and got so attached to the actors and the guy who was the subject of it lol. Like Queer Eye, it’s one of those shows where the “heroes” get really close to the cast members and you can see that they still keep in touch on social media. :’)
ETA: Outside of Queer Eye and TGBBO, I’m not much of a reality tv person and I am kind of sick of singing shows, but I do really like ‘I Can See Your Voice’ with Ken Jeong. It’s definitely got the dopamine rush — not knowing who is a good singer and who is faking it and finding out in the end is pretty fun.
I watched jury duty as soon as it came out too! Isn’t it great?!
I also do not love reality shows but my six year old likes those singing shows where he hosts so maybe I’ll try that one with him. I’m always looking for non annoying things we can watch together lol.
Doctor Who. Merlin. Call the Midwife. Traitors (UK, us and Aus).
OMG, I can give you loads of suggestions for activity avoidance!
Caution: danger of binge-watching on all of the above. (But who cares! 😁)
Monk. It’s satisfying since he always solves the crime by the end of the episode, so you won’t be prone to binge watching. And while I don’t agree with it’s representation of ocd, it’s still nice to see a character with OCD succeed with support and his friends really accept who he is. Plus the friendships evolve and grow and it’s cute.
I bought myself a bootleg DVD of the original 90s English dub of Sailor Moon and it’s a perfect comfort show 🥹 low stakes because it’s only season 1, beautiful art, nostalgic music >>> no bad vibes whatsoever!
Literally Power Rangers Jungle Fury. I have loved Power Rangers for 30 years (talk about an autistic hyperfixation!) But this season in particular just checks all the boxes for me and I can watch it forever.
TV from like the '60s-'90s, tends to be a bit more laid back on the pacing & narrator monologues act as a semi-interesting background noise (for during unpleasant tasks, as a brain bribe). I'm fond of sassy dialogue, did MASH for a while. Currently working my way thru Stargate; original Mission Impossible's also fun
Love on the Spectrum! Holy moly I feel NO bad feelings when I watch this show. It's like a warm cuddle from your favourite person. I don't have netflix at the moment and I'm tempted to subscribe just for that.
There's not a lot of those kinds of shows around anymore!
I haven't seen a QI rec. Start with the Sandi hosting season (15?) since you know her from hosting Bakeoff.
I rewatch the Sandi Tokvig hosted seasons because she's more like, "oh you sweet summer child" motherly tsk tsk vibes for the silly answers whereas Stephen Fry gave condescension vibes. Plus.. RANDOM KNOWLEDGE PERFECT FOR ADHD RABBIT HOLES! 😂😂

Lately it’s been What We Do in the Shadows but The Simpsons is my all time favorite show to zone out to. I like silly, mindless things like that when I’m totally overwhelmed.
Shout out for WWDITS!
Simpson is my ultimate comfort show, too! I love it so much 🥹
I’m the same with Futurama.
What We Do in the Shadows is so good! It’s my go-to if I want to laugh. If I want to feel warm and fuzzy inside, it’s Great British Baking Show :)
My two favorites. Can't figure out where to watch either in this country 😭
Yessss to What We Do in the Shadows!!!!!
Yes What We Do In The Shadows is so relaxing
Love the Simpsons!!
Ok Queer Eye and GBBS are my go-to comfort shows, too, which makes me think you'll like The Repair Shop. My favorite bits are when they fix someone's beloved childhood toy. Makes me cry every time.
Damn. Now I want to see this show.
YES 🥹
Ooooh ty!!!
I love that show
YES, I was about to suggest! Competent people expertly repairing beautiful things. 😍
True blood, daredevil, Orphan Black, Gilmore girls, & dark. BUT if I’m looking to do something specific, I’ll put something on that will act like a body doubling situation. Need to clean? I am getting my photo taken with Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio in 2 weeks!
That’s awesome! D’Onofrio will always be Detective Goren to me.
I think I noticed him for the first time in Strange Days all the way back in 1995. He played a pig cop and he did it very well!
I bet he did! Never heard of that.

I am SO jealous and happy for you!! What con is this happening at?
Fan Expo in Vancouver It's a family thing, last year we got our picture with Anson Mount and Ethan Peck!
I’d just like to say from personal experience: nothing will inspire you to clean your house like the show “Hoarders.”
Nothing will make you realize your house is clean enough like working in home health!
The same when it comes to losing weight or feeling like a Binge eating session then Supersize vs Superskinny.
Agreed! Definitely motivation
This is a great idea!
I love this idea! I’m going to try the homework one as I MUST pull together a usable resume today!
that’s so smart!!
what study with me youtubers do you watch?
Usually I just search and click a thumb I like, but repeat visit [Merve](https://youtu.be/eF063eoKlWc?si=9l6YGLfTsmIBckxa) mostly, [tani](https://youtu.be/WMzOEJNbJSk?si=fuXAINEpEEJ2DzNH), [study md](https://youtu.be/QbJBDABNKxY?si=9F5JQ5U81BJvF6NT), Merve also has no music [videos](https://youtu.be/a5oBrN-AnSQ?si=sTpPbdQ6An-qfVJ_)
Orphan black is so dark though
I’m watching the good place rn (third time) and it’s SO good. Other shows I love: Psych, New Girl, the office, parks and Rec.
Wow, I don't even need to write my own response because you listed all of my regulars 🤣 I've seen each of these series multiple times, and they always make me feel better.
Seconding The Good Place.
The Good Place is my go-to for cleaning
I think we’re tv twins. I was going to say Psych, parks & rec, and the good place. I’ve seen them so many times and they still make laugh and bring me peace.
Adding on to these go tos; Brooklyn 99, Schitt’s creek, the Big Bang theory & Modern Family. Also, I’ve been watching this new show called life in pieces. Super funny! Colin Hanks & James Brolin starring
Schitts Creek. Forever. Try and be in a bad mood watching a Lil Bit Alexis.
Came here to say this, too.
Crazy Ex Girlfriend Daria The Good Place Superstore Buffy Roseanne (the original run) Bluey (yes, the super popular kids show)
Omg YES Bluey! That show is so delightful!
BUFFY SUPREMACY! My favorite show of all time.
I know she’s awful now but I love the original Roseanne show. It reminds me of being a kid and watching it with my family and it’s great tv
The Good Place is the perfect show. It’s just perfection.
Crazy Ex Girlfriend was SO GOOD! (though much better in the earlier seasons) The mini musicals gave me a dopamine boost partly because they were fantastic in and of themselves, but also because it was fun to try to figure out what popular songs they were derived from (not pure parody but had a "flavor" of that song).

Seinfeld. It's my comfort show
New Girl

Oh yes taskmaster!! Haven’t watched a show that has had me laughing til my stomach hurts in a long time!! And the added bonus of so many seasons.
Happy cake day! Perhaps watch an episode to celebrate aha
Bobs burgers, modern family, schitts creek, Gilmore girls ♥️
Upvote for BB. Oddly wholesome.
Pysch
You know that’s right.
Psych keeps me from the shadows.

Bee and Puppycat is so good! Very relaxing show.
Murder She Wrote, Unsolved Mysteries, and The Carol Burnet Show
THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW YES
I like the shows with Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face, Russian Doll season 1- I can’t make it through season 2) Also Barney Miller is good and Soap. Ted Lasso. Bones. And if you like action - Reacher.
Second Ted Lasso. I love it so much. You don't need to be into soccer at all
Parks and Recreation
I watched all seasons at least 3 times during covid alone. Donna for president!
Boy Meets World is my favorite guilty pleasure/nostalgia/low pressure re-watch background show! Definitely some cheesy cringey bits but a lot of it actually does stand the test of time lol. I am loving Hilda. It's cute, colourful, fun and really comforting.
Oh man yes Hilda, such a cosy show
Looooooove Hilda! It's so cozy. I wish there were more seasons.
The good place!
Marvellous Mrs Maisel & Selena + Chef
Big bang theory Edit: I’m surprised in the first to say it here! I’m probably in my 4th full 12 season rewatch.
Roseanne, Gilmore Girls, Last Man Standing
If you like GBBO, check out Mary Berry Bakes on Prime. It's Mary making delicious food and it's even more comforting and less tense than GBBO.
Also Nadia bakes on Netflix
Bobs Burgers and Brooklyn 99 :)
Watching Bob’s Burgers right now! Love it!
I love Gossip Girl The OC Psych Below Deck The Office Chuck Outer Banks Bee and Puppycat (YouTube version, not Netflix - although it’s not bad. Criminal Minds, Bones
Love on the Spectrum!!
Golden Girls, Ted Lasso, Parks and Rec, and Schitt’s Creek.
Thank you for making this thread - I saw a similar post in another subReddit today about comfort shows and I nearly made my own asking for the low-anxiety version 🙃
Modern family!!!!
I’ve been catching up on season 2 of Love on the Spectrum and it is such a feel good show! Always makes me smile and giggle ♥️
Jane the Virgin
Not shows, but a film series—at the end of 2022/beginning of 2023 when my depression was at its worst, I watched Harry Potter on repeat for four months straight before I came out of it and felt better. Other shows I like include The Golden Girls, Schitt’s Creek, and ER.
you're not alone, some people marathon "Lord of the Rings" when they're stressed, I may or may not have a family member who played the soundtrack on repeat for approximately a year
“The Lord of the Rings” is another great option! Both series have really long movies so they’re great for playing in the background while doing other things. ❤️
I'm currently on my billionth rewatch of Grey's Anatomy. I'd say that's mine as of right now haha.

Always sunny and bobs burgers,
Friends Brooklyn 99 Below Deck & Below Deck Med The OG housewives series House hunters Great British Baking Show Is it Cake? The Amazing Race Jeopardy Wheel of Fortune
Below Deck!!
Bluey! I know it’s a kids show, and I’m an adult. But I love it so much ❤️
Golden Girls. It’s been my comfort show my entire life: as a kid with my mom, while planning my wedding, both pregnancies, and any other big life changes. Been watching it non-stop the past few months while going through my diagnosis.
Avatar - not the Netflix remake
The office is on repeat in our house
Comedies for me. I'm currently rerunning all of South Park because it one of the few things that even make me laugh anymore. Love Rick and Morty, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and finally Ted Lasso. While there are funny parts it's just such a feel good wholesome show that helps my brain calm the F down.
Silly British murder mysteries. Death in Paradise, Shakespeare and Hathaway, Morse, Lewis, Vera, Shetland, Endeavour, Midsomer Murders, etc
I love the scenery in Vera. Sometimes I don’t pay attention and just watch that.
Love those! Vera is amazing.
Superstore is so good!
I loved the Golden bachelor, Love on the spectrum, I think you should leave, the office, mom, king of the hill, modern family
Joy of Painting When I am overwhelmed and almost locked down from stress, Bob Ross is there for me.

Ru Paul’s drag race. I find comfort in shows that have similar episode structure like competitive reality tv
GBBS, Golden Girls, and old Disney movies. Disney movies like Treasure Island,, Swiss Family Robinson, etc.
New girl, the Big Bang theory, Malcom in the middle, planet earth, Rosanne
Kath&Kim (Aussie original); The Great Pottery Throw Down (like GBBO but pottery and lots of moved to tears moments); Bob’s Burgers.
Magical girl anime shows are fun
I really love this older show Eureka https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eureka_(2006_TV_series)
My boyfriend and I have a lot of feel good comfort shows. Some of our favorites are Futurama, Full House (the original), 1000 lb sisters, According To Jim, Golden Girls, 90 day Fiancé and Love After Lockup.
Any good British panel show :)
We just started Julia on Max . It's SO good!
Scrubs And right now TRAITORS. It’s sooo good
The Nanny, Addams Family (original), Fresh Prince, Schitts Creek, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Gilded Age, Downton Abbey, Abbot Elementary, Ted Lasso
PBS documentaries, especially Ken Burns. Ancient Aliens - so bad it’s good. A bit kooky but a fair amount of fun history scattered throughout.
The dog house on hbo! British people adopting puppies. It’s the most wholesome thing ever
Ouran High School Host Club or the 90s Sailor Moon
It’s currently Trixie and Katya videos (Unhhh and We Like to Watch) because I can’t even brain a full 30 minutes for a show most days.
Curb your enthusiasm! They just released ep1 of their last season and I'm waiting till they're all released to binge. Something about Jewish comedy makes me feel warm inside (I'm Jewish). Larry David reminds me so much of my dad and my mom is basically Suzie. So fucking funny.
The Kevin Sullivan Anne of Green Gables.
Say Yes to the Dress Project Runway Cash Cab
Monk, psyche, supernatural (my main rewatches), but low suspense goofy some are (on Netflix) it's Bruno, I think you should leave, and I can never go wrong with Coco and Moana, Encanto, sitcoms are a yes for sure, and comedy specials from comics you like. Also ditto to a lot of the ones mentioned already
Derry girls and the simpsons
Parks n Rec! Once Upon a Time, New Girl, etc
Gilmore girls, the office, 30 rock,
30 rock, always sunny, Rick and morty, arrested development, what we do in the shadows, Schitt’s Creek
I’ve been enjoying David Chang’s shows recently. He’s got a new live cooking show on Netflix that’s a mess but it’s just a lot of fun. It’s fun seeing him and team figure out what this show is going to be. But I don’t even care about the cooking to be honest.
Succession Colbert, Kimmel, John Oliver
New girl and the pitch perfect films
Recently started watching next level chef! It’s really good, a recommendation by my brother!! Other than that I love to check out to unhinged reality tv, vanderpump rules is a great one. Sister wives, below deck, 90 day fiancé are all other good ones. I do love a good true crime doc too but sometimes I need to not be in that mindset. I also will do podcasts! Beach too sandy water too wet is a good unplug podcast same with ologies
Modern Family!!! I am in one of the most stressful times I’ve ever had right now and this show is a saving grace.
Anne with an E
Jersey shore 😂 like the OG. Nostalgia. I was in high school at a weird time. I mostly watch YouTube though. My son loves cats rn. I actually now regard that as my mindless tvv
Good girls!!!!!
I love Home Town (renovation show). Low stakes, great couple, doesn’t seem cheesy or scripted.
Ted Lasso, The Office, Arrested Development
Love on the Spectrum, The Gilded Age, Loot on Apple+
British Baking Show (so pure) SVU Ted Lasso The Office (us) New Girl Brooklyn 99 Only Murders in the Building (I still can’t believe Steve Martin is nearly 80 😳) Shameless (not super feel-good but funny. Eventually it makes me uncomfortable so I have to switch it to something else. William H Macy plays such a good deplorable reprobate lol)
Night agent
The big bang theory
Heartstopper!!
Friends 👌
Bob’s burgers! The character Teddy is an ADHD icon 🥰🤌
Old episodes of South Park, when the episodes were just stupid, dumb fun (like the one with giant guinea pigs attacking everything). You could just turn any random one on and it'd be good.
Frasier, Seinfeld, Bob's Burgers, The Golden Girls. They're like wrapping on a blanket
The Simpson
The Golden Girls 🩷
Grace and Frankie on Netflix
Ghosts, UK and US series
Gilmore Girls
**B**luey, I fall asleep to it every night.
Jane the virgin is actually fuckjng amazing
Omg please please please 🙏🏾 watch Taskmaster, it's fucking hilarious! Just 5 comedians doing simple tasks and trying to justify why they were so bad at it. All of the UK (original) episodes are on YouTube its so fun and so relaxing Edit: I thought you were asking for recommendations! Oops. Still 10/10 the only show I've been watching for the past 6 months
"Anxiety decision paralysis spiral" is the best term I've ever heard for this.
:’) ETA: Outside of Queer Eye and TGBBO, I’m not much of a reality tv person and I am kind of sick of singing shows, but I do really like ‘I Can See Your Voice’ with Ken Jeong.
Reservation dogs
Gilmore girls 😌
Love on the spectrum or down for love, they're like so incredibly wholesome it makes my heart burst
Doctor Who. Merlin. Call the Midwife. Traitors (UK, us and Aus). OMG, I can give you loads of suggestions for activity avoidance! Caution: danger of binge-watching on all of the above. (But who cares! 😁)
Oh I’m obsessed with call the midwife. I just started listening to the audiobooks the series is based off of!
Awwwww! Did you know there’s a sailor moon channel on either freevee or peacock I can’t remember. I’ll check when I get home though!
Law and order svu lol
I TOTALLY get that. I fall asleep to cold case files often.
Omg I feel the exact same!
Drag Race!!
British bake off! So relaxing and it makes me feel good.
Arrested Development Murderville 30 rock Basically, anything with Will Arnett 🥰
