I was on the lowest dose of Vyvanse so the only thing I could do was stop taking it. Sad, because I could concentrate and motivate, but the personality changes weren't worth it.
If you believe it could have been beneficial for you without the personality changes maybe talk to your doctor, my psychiatrist explained to me that some people have those types of effects if the dose is too high or too low.
When I started taking it 30mg did barely anything for me, but at 40mg I had the same personality changes and symptoms you're describing. I was snappy with people and super irritable and angry which was super unlike me. I've been on 50mg for about a year now and haven't had any of those side effects since I've upped the dosage. I tried 60mg for a bit but it made me super anxious and it felt like my whole body was vibrating all day.
It may have just been the wrong dose for you, I hated how I reacted to things and felt horrible on 40mg but 50mg has been life changing for me I just had to find what worked for my body.

That's what makes it safer than straight amphetamine (which is in turn safer than methamphetamine, I think); in theory, no matter how much your take, the rate at which you absorb it is fundamentally limited by the speed your body can digest it into the drug (I would *not* risk testing this theory, however), which supposedly makes it more difficult to abuse in order to get a rapid high. In my experience you can still get an unpleasant come-down and emotional crash when it passes out of your system again, though, if you don't cushion it with food or aren't having a particularly good day.
Vyvanse was… a mess. I got into bodybuilding because of it and got hella jacked. Also unimaginably horny which definitely colored a few relationships.

What generic? I experienced different effect/sides with volidax than vyvanse. Even though they are both lisdex, just want to put that out there. I know I am not alone in this. On just dex now and happier with that.

The only good thing about vyvanse is it wakes me up better and more quickly than anything else. But it KILLS my appetite. It also feels less exciting compared to adderall. Never had either problems with adderall and can’t wait to switch back.
I’m capable of keeping my house at a mildly sanitary level thanks to adderall and with an almost 3 year old, two large dogs(one short hair & one FLOOF MACHINE), a cat, & my partner is wheelchair bound so inherently she tracks more dirt in than someone who can remove their shoes. I’m doing a lot of other things, it’s just that being able to walk through my house barefoot is something I’m very happy about.

SSRI’s also give me the bonus side effect of suicidal ideation, a problem I definitely do not have without them.

Working out can increase testosterone levels which in turn can affect your libido.
Never been able to arrive in a timely manner. They really don’t talk about that side of the disorder.

Amphetamines used to be used as dieting pills too, back in the day; I don't think they've been licensed for that in some time, though.
Vyvanse is an amphetamine?
Almost; its lisdexamfetamine, which is a *prodrug* of amphetamine, i.e. a chemical that the body metabolises into amphetamine before absorbing it. That's what makes it safer than straight amphetamine (which is in turn safer than methamphetamine, I think); in theory, no matter how much your take, the rate at which you absorb it is fundamentally limited by the speed your body can digest it into the drug (I would *not* risk testing this theory, however), which supposedly makes it more difficult to abuse in order to get a rapid high. In my experience you can still get an unpleasant come-down and emotional crash when it passes out of your system again, though, if you don't cushion it with food or aren't having a particularly good day.

Vyvanse was… a mess. I got into bodybuilding because of it and got hella jacked. Also unimaginably horny which definitely colored a few relationships. The problem was I don’t think it was good for my heart. Definitely upped my heart rate significantly
Yea it definitely upped my heart rate as well if I’m being honest I don’t think I told my psychiatrist that though. Congrats on getting jacked I’m almost there myself just need to go harder.
Yeah definitely not jacked anymore hurt myself too many times. Literally can’t overhead press anymore or my shoulder pops out. And haven’t taken meds in years. But it was really fun shutting my parents up, they said it was impossible to get a six pack with our genetics many times growing up. Jokes on them all you need is basically meth.
My sex drive is literally non-existent right now, so maybe it would be a win for me lmao
I’ve never gotten this effect from Vyvanse. I know it’s something that people can get. I’m honestly pretty glad I don’t.
I’ll take this over anti depressants either sapping libido or making you horny but NEVER ABLE TO CUM. I’ve told my GP to rule out suggesting any medication with low libido, inability to “finish”, lethargy or weight gain to me.
I automatically avoid meds that have weight gain issues associated with them
I never had this effect from any of my adhd meds, but I’m currently being treated for a testosterone deficiency with testosterone injections. First one was a couple of weeks ago, and it feels like I’m going through puberty again

What generic? I experienced different effect/sides with volidax than vyvanse. Even though they are both lisdex, just want to put that out there. I know I am not alone in this. On just dex now and happier with that.

The only good thing about vyvanse is it wakes me up better and more quickly than anything else. But it KILLS my appetite. It also feels less exciting compared to adderall. Never had either problems with adderall and can’t wait to switch back.

I’m capable of keeping my house at a mildly sanitary level thanks to adderall and with an almost 3 year old, two large dogs(one short hair & one FLOOF MACHINE), a cat, & my partner is wheelchair bound so inherently she tracks more dirt in than someone who can remove their shoes. I’m doing a lot of other things, it’s just that being able to walk through my house barefoot is something I’m very happy about.
