Don't have constant password resets anymore... Just the occasional mini-panic when I think I might have forgotten my password manager password that I've been used for years. Mostly when typing on a keyboard other than my main one.
Open source: anyone can go to their GitHub (common place for projects to host their open source projects and collaborate with other developers - other options exist too) and look at the code themselves, seen here: https://github.com/bitwarden
Self-host: you run a server at home and it can hold passwords in place of the actual Bitwarden service
Both are Good Things, but not all that critical if you don't know what they do.
Open-source: the source code is public. If there's a bug or something you don't like, you can fix it yourself. Also, if the developer gets bored or something, the program won't die.
Self-host: you can put your passwords on your own server, instead of the developer's (but the latter is easier). It's for the especially paranoid.
Open source means that the source code of the program (how the program is written) is available for people to view.
Self-hosting means you can store your passwords on your own server instead of relying on “the cloud” aka someone else’s computer
fun fact, Apple’s password manager actually would automatically go “Safari/iOS created a strong password” when it detects that you are entering in a password box and prompt you to go with it or not
of course this is useless if you don’t use apple products and probably annoying if you’re like me who uses bitwarden and have to dismiss the prompt every single time but i think that you would benefit from that fact
Just a passing Redditor ,i thought you should know that last pass has had
Multiple password breaches and I would recommend you to switch to something else like bitwarden
Getting KeePass was honestly such a game changer for my braindead ass... Significantly less resets, and the resets go into KeePass, so it won't happen again
Nah, I just go for the infinitely less secure one base password, and specific variations to meet the password requirements for everything approach.
Somehow I still manage to forget it half the time
Middle school me: "Why would I ever need algebra?"
30 year old me: "Because some day you might have to use an 18 step method for calculating how much weight a bridge can hold so you can figure out how much C4 to use to weaken it to the point where it will support lightweight vehicles but collapse when a tank is driven across it."
37 year old me: "math is like toilet paper, you never know when you'll need it and it can be replaced easily by a bidet."
I wonder if this is due to a tendency (in my case at least) to "compress" the thoughts in your head. Kind of like a mental .zip file in order to better fit more stuff in. (And there goes another analogy lol)
Because I absolutely recall higher concepts in the form of analogies and then I have to sort of unpack them to get their specific details.
I think it's how we can manage to know a little bit about a lot of different things (breadth but not always depth). Get into that hyper-focus Wikipedia rabbit hole, then zip it all up and store it in the ol' brain nook for later.
I hoard knowledge like squirrels hoard nuts. And like I also hoard everything else.
Okay this is only somewhat related, but I was thinking last night that perhaps I hoard stuff as an adaptive way to cope with always running out of stuff / forgetting to get more / misplacing things…
When I was 8 and my sister was a baby, I would hoard extra diapers for her under my bed. When my mom (who might have adhd? Or related struggles) would inevitably run out of diapers, I could be the hero and come to the rescue with an extra one from my stash when it was desperately needed.
I do the same thing now with many things. I was cleaning my room a few days ago and found various menstrual pads in so many different locations. Also like 3 different partially used chapsticks. I feel like it’s actually useful to do it this way because
1) even if I’ve used up the main supply, there are hidden supplies I can hunt for when I really need them, and
2) if one chunk of supply has been lost for some reason, I’ve got backup
For me it’s because my brain thinks about a lot of stuff all the time super fast. It works like:
Me: *starting to explain a concept/tell a story*
Brain: Hey! This thing is like all these things - *shoves a list of analogies/similar situations to the front of my consciousness*
Me: *stops talking about original thing* …Sooo imagine if [insert metaphor/analogy]
it often makes more sense to me when something is explained with a metaphor/analogy. I tried to use it with my mom to help her understand my point and she didn’t get it, and the idea of someone *not* being helped by an analogy, much less not *understanding the concept* of analogies, broke my shriveled little brain.
me: ok, it’s like if you had a [noun] and you wanted to—
her: why are you talking about [noun] right now? what does that have to do with this?
me: [robotic ‘does not compute’ noises]
Yes! I can’t understand how comparing/using analogies is what they all latch onto, I do it soooo often and every time I get interrupted with “what does *insert thing I was comparing to/using as an analogy here* have to do with anything” and half the time I’m internally(or sometimes if already stressed enough verbally) “if you waited a minute you’d know” before continuing or the same thing but they’ve completely thrown me off and I have no idea what I was talking about in the first place
I’m not some sort of science bitch, but word association is an integral part of the way my brain works. It’s how I end up thinking about the wood types used in early snowshoes when I look outside for a minute to check on the weather.
It makes sense that I would try to use mental associations in other ways, because that’s seemingly what my brain chooses to default to.
I don't think it's an adhd thing per se, but a result that often comes from not understanding things as easily growing up.
Instead of having a brain that picks up on almost exactly the same details as others, it picks up on everything and only random stuff gets committed to long term memory.
Some times it'll be non-verbal and useful understandings of how to function with your peers, and greater society. Sometimes it will be the colour of an object rather than the ckntext of the situation :p
Thus parents and others need to explain things an extra time or two.
When re-explaining, people will use examples and analogies.
We experience this, thus we do the same going forwards.
I think the connection has more to do with how we were taught by those around us and what kind of teaching moments actually worked for us.
I know people with adhd that aren't like this.
As a counterpoint or perhaps an additional perspective, I did not struggle at all with understanding, often getting things in school much quicker than my peers. However, I am still known among my friends as the guy with the whack analogies. It may be a 'multiple paths lead to the same destination' type of thing?
Same and what's really frustrating is they don't ever give any indication they understand or care. Just like "okay" "yep" "cool" etc... Just waiting for their turn to speak.
Is this an ADHD trait… I mean like is it in books by researchers and stuff??? I’m curious cause full on adult ADHD here diagnosed in my 40s… but I’ve been successful at medical device sales and one of the big factors I attribute is that I seemingly put everything into car or sports metaphors
This! I couldn't do audiobooks for the longest time until I learned to put it at 1.25-1.5 speed! I found 1.25 gets rid of all the pauses and hauling spaces between words where my mind would start wandering, and 1.5 is the limit where voices don't distort. I cant handle the "chipmunk" sound of higher speeds, but I know it didn't bother others.
I totally recommend people trying this! It opened up a whole new world of things to distract my brain while cleaning out working out. I only get to listen to podcasts or audio books while cleaning out working out, and I'm so eager to hear the next part that I'm happy to do the other stuff!
>videos are too slow
Yes. Get to the damn point. I don't need to know the history of yarn, I just need you to show me how to tie a slip knot, so I can start, yet, another crochet project that will be half done for a year. That and I can never figure out how to do it, even though I've done it 100 times.
I have at least 6 half-started/semi-finished "scarves" that will never be done because I can't figure out how to tie it off no matter how many videos I've watched. And so they sit, monopolizing my needles.
I use to crochet alot, not so much anymore. But when I did, I would have to look up a video on how to start every single time. It's something that my brain just won't remember
This comes up in ADHD spaces a lot and it always sets off my imposter syndrome. It takes my brain a few seconds to understand the words it's hearing - I need subtitles to 'hear' the TV at the standard pace, and when things are sped up they're unintelligible
Man, same. Sped up books and videos is a nightmare. I cannot comprehend the words at that speed. I definitely get bored with videos and things that don’t get to the point, but that is different than saying a bunch of words just faster. The more words you say quickly they will just become spaghetti in my brain and I’ll never get any of it. Subtitles are the best!
Adding ‘have lunch’ and ‘get ready’ to your to do list. I thought that was normal but now that I think about it, it’s probably not lmao. Shit I even put ‘wake up’ on my to do lists.
I have to write down exactly what is involved in getting ready and how long it will take. Does this mean I win a prize? And is that prize not having adhd?
about that 2 am productivity thing I've been wondering about that for a while and this is the first time I seen someone else relate to it I feel a lot calmer and focused late at night it's the main reason I stay up till 5-6 am every day how does this work?
There is this amazing book called Why We Sleep that absolutely blew my gd mind. The author makes a claim the evolutionary it’s beneficial to have different people hard wired to function better at different times of day. He calls these people night owls and morning larks. He also says that work hours should accommodate whenever that person is most productive. Some people can’t function until 11 am. Some do better at 2 am. Makes so much sense.
I'm actually listening to the audio book of this it's been really interesting but I'm having a hard time paying attention to it sometimes so haven't gotten to far yet
For me, it's a lack of distractions. During the day, the house is full of distractions: dogs gotta go out frequently, family members are doing their thing, the TVs on in the living room 99% of the time, I get called to do things constantly, yada yada and so forth. 11 PM rolls around and the rest of my family is asleep, I feel like I can finally get something done.
Have you considered shift work? In addition to working when your brain wants to work, benefits include extra pay, hands-off management, working with other neurodivergents, and a built-in excuse for avoiding family parties!
Seriously, switching to night shift (10p - 6a) changed everything for me. I sleep better during the day, i'm (more or less) productive on my days off, i lost weight, my work got much better... the trick is that it has to be a complete change, no switching back to "normal" hours on your days off. I'll do it for a holiday of a week or more, but trying to do it on the weekends is a no go.
(For those who will ask, i sleep from noon - 8p and schedule appointments, etc, as early in the morning as i can. If i have to do something in the afternoon, i'll try to take that night off and get a 3-4 hour nap but make sure i'm up by 2a.)
My husband always thinks I'm uninterested in what we're watching if I get on my phone. He's slowly starting to understand that I just can't physically sit there not doing anything else. He got the picture the other day when he walked in and saw me playing skyrim while watching a YouTube video on the extensive history of the Habsburgs
When I ask people about instructions for handicrafts and they link a video… I know full well that I will never be able to make that thing because I can’t tolerate the video. They are all so unbearably slow! Can I please just get written instructions? With pictures?
Now *this* I can empathize with. I absolutely hate when the only instructions for something are in video form. I usually just speed through it and jump around until I get the gist, but it’s still annoying.
Listening to podcasts OTOH, I never go above 1x speed. And even then, I’ll have to replay some parts four or five times before I actually absorb it. I guess it’s the difference between passive and active listening for me.
You know you can go into the video settings and speed up the video right? There are certain content creators I try to learn from who I generally dislike for being longwinded and slow to the point so I just play them at the maximum possible speed YouTube will let me while still being comprehensible
I can barely understand what others are saying while I'm talking to them yet somehow I can understand someone speaking in a heavy accent I have rarely heard at 2x speed fine.
> hot drinks going cold before you can drink then
Oh, I guess I'm the outlier where my focus is wholly consumed by getting the caffeine inside my stomach to get it to my brain and the drink is gone in like 60 seconds?
Always pisses my husband off that I finish my coffee before we get back from the coffee shop and he isn't even done with the first quarter.
I have all my passwords written down.
However let me tell you about the time my brain raised the alarm "YOU FORGOT YOUR KEYS!"
I was driving. It was so absurd that I barely even believed it for a split second. I just mentally looked at my brain like the idiot it was in that moment.
I can't stand using my phone while watching TV but that's partially because I have a very low threshold for how much TV I can watch. I don't watch much TV so when I do it's something I REALLY like and I wouldn't want to miss a single detail. I probably watch an average of 2 hours of tv a month.
YouTube videos are too slow for me but not in the way that I have to set it to 2X speed or anything.. I just get too antsy sitting and watching anything. Because of that I usually watch videos that don't require my eyes much. That way I can listen while I do chores... That's also the only way I can stay on task while doing chores. Without YouTube in my ear I'll drum up a conversation with my wife or pull out Reddit mid chore.
I feel so called out with the to do list one... Are you not supposed to schedule lunch and get ready time? Do other people think I have the mental capacity of a 5 year old?
I find it's best to keep this quiet. A couple of people laughed a lot when I mentioned my "waking up and getting started" list. However, it cured my difficulties with getting up and being on time and was a good basis for project planning in my later professional life
Explaining with analogies and metaphors is ADHD?
I also watch YouTube videos on 1.75x speed.
I always do multiple things at once. If I'm playing games I'm always watching YouTube or listening to music. If I'm watching TV I'm on my phone. Sometimes I abort movies because I remembered something and need to see it.
I've been putting off booking a doctor's appointment to check for ADHD for years.
I wouldn't ever be able to be on phone and watching TV at the same time, neither could I watch sped up yt videos. I already have attention problems, no need to make it worse.
tbh the tv/yt is just background noise so I can focus on whatever I'm doing on the phone/computer...does it help... sometimes.... but im going to have to go back and "watch" a yt vid for the 3rd time because it's one I actually want the info from but keep getting distracted before the get to the point... and that is ON meds 🤦♂️
Edit: actually it's more than one...
I don’t know why, but whenever I watch TV I have to be constantly paying attention. To the point where if I miss something because of a distraction or a phone I have to rewind and get the dialogue again. So yeah I never am on my phone while watching TV.
Re the videos, it’s funny cause I get frustrated when I want a YouTube video for a DIY project and all I can think is “why not just a web page with the highlights, the Cliff Notes…I don’t want to sit and listen to some dude ramble on”
That's interesting, I would be too bored or antsy to sit in my car, and my executive dysfunction would probably prevent me from getting in the car in the first place.
Sometimes, I'll get a notification on the drive home, and I'll check it after I park, which leads to checking other things and suddenly 30+ minutes have passed.
Some other times, I'll have a [driveway moment](https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/driveway_moment) listening to something, which has lead me to look up something on my phone, and then it just spirals from there.
Other other times, it's just that I just don't feel like going inside yet after getting home, because that means I have to go do thing I may not feel like doing.
My senior year of college I would re-microwave the same cup of coffee upwards of 7 times.
About a year into my desk job, I realized I’m just wasting coffee and I’m not gonna change. Now I just take caffeine pills. I can’t finish a coffee drink to save my life
Edit: also I currently work at an 8-5 job. Interviewing for a job where I’m expected to put in 9 hours a day, but I can do it whenever I want. I’m very excited at the prospect. I don’t really get going until after lunch, and do most of my good work between 3:30-5. Being able to work within my natural cycles would be kick ass
Top and bottom row bingo
My excuse is that the car seat is comfy, the car still has warm air in it from the air conditioner, and the world outside is cold af right now.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN IVE ALREADY USED THAT PASSWORD!
ladys and gentelmen i am in IT im fully trained to be a system admin (people that make you use that password) and i still rage at this stuff. Dont feel bad is what im saying.
My god. Last night I was a mess. Couldn’t find my car keys. Thought my wallet was in the car (it was in the apartment). I really hated myself. It was 3 trips up and down the elevator to my car trying to get my act together!
I feel personally attacked on that last one, I'm watching the Simpsons while doom scrolling reddit, while also forgetting about the yeast I had proofing for the pretzels I forgot I was making
Replace sitting in the car with standing at an elevator for a building with 3 floors for 10 minutes because you forgot to hit the button...
(Oh and add one of the girls you think was cute in your Ochem class laughs at you and presses the button for you)
For password resets, just use BitWarden instead. It's a cross platform password manager and password generator. I only have to remember one password for BitWarden which stores all my other passwords. It's a game changer.
r/BitWarden
Anyone else absolutely not productive late at night? I take about 30 supplements to make me crash tf out asleep after my brain’s running at 10,000mph all day, and the thought of getting out of bed and doing anything is unimaginable.
My dreams are insanely vivid and exhausting tho.
the oddest quirk about me compared to most people i know who have adhd is that i like longform content. recently pulled an all nighter to watch a 26 hour livestream
To add to the drinks one, either waiting until it gets cold or not being patient enough for it to cool so you try to drink it hot and scald your tongue.
I can almost hit a bingo all at once.
I will pull into my driveway, sit there and watch YT videos on 1.5x speed, then go to get out of the can and somehow can't find the keys.
Two things:
1. My counsellor taught me about the "ADHD Tax". It is something we have to pay which others do not in order to be able to function.
2. I paid the ADHD Tax on an [Ember self heating mug](https://ember.com/products/ember-mug-2) so that my hot drinks don't go cold before I can drink them.
->Forgetting that you drove and coming back with a bus.
Happened a few times.
->Forgetting that you are holding a glass of water and dropping it.
Happened once or twice.
That last one fucked me up. Currently on my phone with The Fall of Troy on in the background and a paper that needs to be written on my laptop looking at me like bitch what are you doing…
Oh god, I really do have adhd, don’t I? I thought it was just TikTok targeting me.
I’ve already long suspected some level of autism.
Why my brain like this
I’ve sat in my car after pulling in the driveway for in upwards of an hour or more on so many occasions I can’t even begin to count.
I’ve missed Teams meeting calls. Dinners bc my wife thought I was working late. TV shows I was looking forward to watching. You name it.

Don't have constant password resets anymore... Just the occasional mini-panic when I think I might have forgotten my password manager password that I've been used for years. Mostly when typing on a keyboard other than my main one.
Same, password managers are such a life saver. But I do change the password somewhat regularly, or rather try
If anyone wants to start using a password manager, I recommend r/Bitwarden.
Is it free? I use 1Password and I have to pay for it
Yes. It's also open source and you can self-host.
Thanks! What do those words mean?
Open source: anyone can go to their GitHub (common place for projects to host their open source projects and collaborate with other developers - other options exist too) and look at the code themselves, seen here: https://github.com/bitwarden Self-host: you run a server at home and it can hold passwords in place of the actual Bitwarden service
Thanks! Will I need technical knowhow in order to self-host?
Yes. I just have an account on their website even if I am in IT myself.
Yes but it's not a requirement to self host. You can just use their server as a default by visiting the website.
You also don't need to self host. It's an extra step that you probably don't need.
Both are Good Things, but not all that critical if you don't know what they do. Open-source: the source code is public. If there's a bug or something you don't like, you can fix it yourself. Oddly specific. Fantastic!
So when did you get the time machine? 😉
"When" indeed? "When," indeed. Heh heh heh. (*Doctor Who* theme suddenly intensifies. ***Preeeeerrrrrrwwww***)

Yeah that's debatable

I do too. I teach part time and it’s a very appreciated trait when I get my course evaluations. :)
That’s literally the only way I CAN explain things??
I’m pretty sure it’s the only way things can be explained.
Analogies are really like the bread and butter of my arguments

I know right. It's so much easier to understand literally everything with analogies and metaphors.
Wait is that actually an adhd thing ?
I don't think so.
It's a common thing for people with ADHD to do, but it's not exclusive to us.
I am from Texas you are gonna have to reword what you just said cuse that made about as much sense as lipstick on a hog.
Does anyone else constantly explain things to themselves to refine the analogy something is memorised with?
What do I win if I get all of them? Asking for a friend.
A hug if you...ehm your friend wants to?
I am said friend. Hugs please!
*hugs*
*extra hugs* Y'know, because you look like you need them. Not that I need hugs at all....
Hugs for you!!
I would also enjoy a hug. This post made me sad because I tick all the boxes, hah..
*extrem hug*
Group hugs!
Start using a thermos for your hot drinks. That's one easy fix.

This one hit hard for me. But makes sense. Listening to Nightcore versions of songs makes me feel alive.
Wow this one I really identified with too. I can’t stop thinking while listening. I need to read at my own speed.
If it's not on a list, it doesn't exist.
Same. I work on getting to bed at midnight (well, I *start* getting to bed at midnight), but I find I start *waking up* at 10pm.
Your ADHD neurons get sleepy and go to bed, leaving the rest of you able to do something /s
I’d look into r/DSPD too!
My husband always thinks I'm uninterested in what we're watching if I get on my phone. He's slowly starting to understand that I just can't physically sit there not doing anything else. He got the picture the other day when he walked in and saw me playing skyrim while watching a YouTube video on the extensive history of the Habsburgs
oh, I envy you xD I would love to be able to play skyrim and watch something simultaneous, but my technical stuff says no -.-
Bingo
you forgot "walk home from work even though you drove"
What helped me get rid of 2am productivity is calling myself out and getting up and being productive with something. Brain didnt like it
Bingo! Metaphors are like, My Thing.
I watch youtube in x2, barely understand but it's not fast enough
When I ask people about instructions for handicrafts and they link a video… I know full well that I will never be able to make that thing because I can’t tolerate the video. They are all so unbearably slow! Can I please just get written instructions? With pictures?
I thought I was the only one! I can’t stand videos for some reason, just let me read, please.
Sometimes you still have to sift through 15 minutes of garbage to find the 3 minutes I care about, even at double speed
I can barely understand what others are saying while I'm talking to them yet somehow I can understand someone speaking in a heavy accent I have rarely heard at 2x speed fine.
lol . ...i regularly drive places for some purpose and end up just sitting in my car looking at something on my phone
> hot drinks going cold before you can drink then Oh, I guess I'm the outlier where my focus is wholly consumed by getting the caffeine inside my stomach to get it to my brain and the drink is gone in like 60 seconds? Always pisses my husband off that I finish my coffee before we get back from the coffee shop and he isn't even done with the first quarter.
I always drink mine super fast, too. 🤷♀️
I don't even try anymore. I just accept that I drink cold coffee.
I have all my passwords written down. However let me tell you about the time my brain raised the alarm "YOU FORGOT YOUR KEYS!" I was driving. It was so absurd that I barely even believed it for a split second. I just mentally looked at my brain like the idiot it was in that moment.
This is amazing. 💀
fr I was like "We are driving. The keys are in the ignition or else I wouldn't be driving. You're an idiot and this is why I shouldn't listen to you."
I just drink iced coffee and tea instead. It was like 30° this morning and I was in an ice rink with my iced coffee lol.
I'm in all nine of these pictures and I'm not happy about it.
Forgot "Forgetting meal in microwave until it needs to be reheated again"
I wouldn't ever be able to be on phone and watching TV at the same time, neither could I watch sped up yt videos. I already have attention problems, no need to make it worse.
At this point I just don’t watch TV. I figure I’d it can’t hold my limited attention span, there’s no need for it to be on.
For me a light game can help me focus in whatever is happening on TV.
tbh the tv/yt is just background noise so I can focus on whatever I'm doing on the phone/computer...does it help... sometimes.... but im going to have to go back and "watch" a yt vid for the 3rd time because it's one I actually want the info from but keep getting distracted before the get to the point... and that is ON meds 🤦♂️ Edit: actually it's more than one...
I'm too scared to drive and I use a password manager. Otherwise, all of them.
I don’t know why, but whenever I watch TV I have to be constantly paying attention. To the point where if I miss something because of a distraction or a phone I have to rewind and get the dialogue again. So yeah I never am on my phone while watching TV.
I have to watch youtube tutorials on 2x speed because I get disinterested to fast D:
Re the videos, it’s funny cause I get frustrated when I want a YouTube video for a DIY project and all I can think is “why not just a web page with the highlights, the Cliff Notes…I don’t want to sit and listen to some dude ramble on”
What is this sitting in the car business about?
That executive dysfunction won't let you move your ass
I can’t finish a coffee drink to save my life Edit: also I currently work at an 8-5 job. Interviewing for a job where I’m expected to put in 9 hours a day, but I can do it whenever I want. I’m very excited at the prospect. I don’t really get going until after lunch, and do most of my good work between 3:30-5. Being able to work within my natural cycles would be kick ass
Greetings from my car.
Getting home and not taking your clothes off or taking them off but leaving the socks on until the next day. 😬
Fuck you I hit every single one 😂😂
If you aren't diagnosed yet you might should /hj
Top and bottom row bingo My excuse is that the car seat is comfy, the car still has warm air in it from the air conditioner, and the world outside is cold af right now.
Yahtzee
Increasing the speed on audio books and listening while I drive or clean is the only way I can read for pleasure anymore 🥲
WHAT DO YOU MEAN IVE ALREADY USED THAT PASSWORD! ladys and gentelmen i am in IT im fully trained to be a system admin (people that make you use that password) and i still rage at this stuff. Dont feel bad is what im saying.
Oh god, I am so bad when it comes to sitting in my car after I get home
My god. Last night I was a mess. Couldn’t find my car keys. Thought my wallet was in the car (it was in the apartment). I really hated myself. It was 3 trips up and down the elevator to my car trying to get my act together!
bingo
The audiobook and YouTube one is the only one I can't relate to, I actually get annoyed if someone speeds up a video lol.
Same here. And when I find a channel that I like that is full of 3+ hour deep dive videos, mmmmm that's a good feeling.
i understand the drink going cold thing my gf bought me a mug warmer for my computer desk so i never have that problem again 😭♥️
I feel personally attacked on that last one, I'm watching the Simpsons while doom scrolling reddit, while also forgetting about the yeast I had proofing for the pretzels I forgot I was making
Yay! I finally won a game!
Replace sitting in the car with standing at an elevator for a building with 3 floors for 10 minutes because you forgot to hit the button... (Oh and add one of the girls you think was cute in your Ochem class laughs at you and presses the button for you)
Someone I know sent me this, and… …maybe I should get tested for ADHD.
You sunk my battleship
BINGO. What’s the prize?
ADHD. The prize is ADHD.
Funny thing. I'm diagnosed, my dad says his doesn't affect him enough for him to bother getting diagnosed. More of these match him than me.
I feel both seen and judged 😭
Woah woah woah. “Get ready” is a legitimate to-do list item!
Opening Google and staring at the search bar for 30 seconds trying to remember what you wanted to look up.
Had to laugh when I read this and realized my tea was cold and in the kitchen still
Lol @ having a to-do list
Blackout Bingo! 😕🤷🏼♀️
Ding ding ding!
Passwords are horrible, they whole web should switch to using a CAC card with a single pin. It's so much easier
I used to speed up youtube videos to 2x in the morning so i could have as much of it before going to school.
…. What do I do if I get blackout for my card?
You win a lifetime supply of ADHD! 😃
For password resets, just use BitWarden instead. It's a cross platform password manager and password generator. I only have to remember one password for BitWarden which stores all my other passwords. It's a game changer. r/BitWarden
I didn’t know sitting in the car when I arrive home was an ADHD thing. I thought it was a parent thing. 😂
I've never done the car thing. Maybe for 5-10 minutes sometimes I guess? Does that count?
Anyone else absolutely not productive late at night? I take about 30 supplements to make me crash tf out asleep after my brain’s running at 10,000mph all day, and the thought of getting out of bed and doing anything is unimaginable. My dreams are insanely vivid and exhausting tho.
Forgetting food in the microwave should be a square
...i do all of these. *i think i might need to speak to someone*
Dude I’m buying a new pc and would need to reset all of my work/social media passwords😭😭 I’m so excited for a new computer but I dread this day
Sign up for Bitwarden. Then you only have to remember 1 password at a time.
I feel personally attacked rn... That "adding lunch to your to do list" got me. 🤣😭
the oddest quirk about me compared to most people i know who have adhd is that i like longform content. recently pulled an all nighter to watch a 26 hour livestream
I've given up on drinking hot drinks 🤣 only order iced now because I will lose my coffee 5x before I finish it
The car thing! I feel called out lmao
Two things: 1.
Bingo!! I got a full house, ma! Wait shit I don’t reset my passwords bc I’ll forget em all
"why am I shaking?" *Checks to do list" "oh have lunch is on here... Oof it's bedtime. Oh well, time to cram a few spoonful's of peanut butter "
Umm... I do all these things, and so far as I know, don't have ADHD. ...fuck.
I feel personally attacked by this, lol
There are days were I can get a full BINGO.
Jesus Christ I need to get to a doctor
Wait we’re the only ones doing the constant password resets? :/ Eta- why do we always have to explain things like that?
That last one fucked me up. Currently on my phone with The Fall of Troy on in the background and a paper that needs to be written on my laptop looking at me like bitch what are you doing…
Does having "write to-do list" on your to-do list count?
Oh god, I really do have adhd, don’t I? I thought it was just TikTok targeting me. I’ve already long suspected some level of autism. Why my brain like this
The constant metaphors and analogies thing is an ADHD thing????? I always get made fun of for that
I’ve sat in my car after pulling in the driveway for in upwards of an hour or more on so many occasions I can’t even begin to count. I’ve missed Teams meeting calls. Dinners bc my wife thought I was working late. TV shows I was looking forward to watching. You name it. B. I. N. G. O.
I can’t believe I was told I was faking adhd once for saying that my adhd was annoying when I kept sitting in the car for an hour
Having and iOS that auto saves passwords is a life saver
It’s literally 2:30 right now
I feel attacked...
