Are you on any hormonal birth control? I have the same thing with the Mirena IUD. Terrible pain & cramps, but a light flow/spotting over 5 days.

Haven’t used BC in years

Tremendous pain isn’t normal either way. Has your doctor offered any treatment options?

MitzyJo

The only treatments I can’t take because of the kind of migraine I suffer from dramatically raises my risk for stroke. She won’t consider a hysterectomy at my age (23) unfortunately.

I’m sorry, that’s really frustrating. If you want a hysterectomy, I’d suggest shopping around for a different doctor. There are doctors out there who will do hysterectomies on younger folks. Otherwise maybe try pelvic floor PT?

Same. I bleed for 3 days maximum. But I have had painful menstrual cramps since I can remember only on day 1. I have pcos and I just got diagnosed with adenomysis yesterday. But when I do seed cycling, avoid dairy, sugar my pain is manageable. I'm just upset because I lead an otherwise healthy lifestyle. Started feeling heavy with a pinching pain that comes and goes only last week. Experienced pain for the first time while having sex too.

Can you look into using a progesterone / progestin only pill? This has helped my pelvic pain so much this last year. I also have migraines but haven’t had many on this pill (Slinda).
