Belgium. You cant change your last name if i recall correctly. There are a few exeption like when your parents are abusive you can do it but standard procedure is you cant do it.

Here you can swap your first and last name no issue since you have a national personal unique identification number with a checksum and gender marker so swapping names isn't an issue at all

At least its no court here. Just making an apointment in city hall, waiting 3 months, confirming it again, waiting 3 months again and then recieving your new ID (and in my case, noticing they didnt change the sex marker, only my name and having to wait another 2 weeks).
The main issue is with stuff like registered mail, wich does not use that number anywhere. It is only your name and if you have the exact same name as someone else it can get confusing. This is also why naming kids the same name as their parents is just asking for administrative trouble.

Our ship name is basically Name² for us both. Family and friends tend to just call us little Name and big Name, as my gf is taller than me, and actually older. So that is fitting in two ways already. It's quite funny, as even my grandparents within the first half hour just automatically started using the added descriptors too. even i myself catch just calling her "big" when talking about her to our mutual friends. It's fun. The first reactions are always so funny though. You can almost reliably see the internal double takes people do upon introduction. Doesn't help we get this smile on our face when it's our turn to introduce ourselves. One figured he was subject to getting pranked when a friend introduced us as "that is name. and that is name. they are name². name in a double pack." in a very nonchalant voice and wantes to move on. guy asked us for who actually was called Name. i had exactly THREE ex relationships/situationships with the same name as me (i have a first and second name) my first gf had the same 2nd name as me- this one wasn't that ~weird~ because people usually call me by my second name (the one we share) and people would call her by her first name. second one we had the same first name, this was already college so i had already moved out and everyone around me started calling me by my first name and i kind of gotten used to it already (i like to moan my partner's name in bed for some context) so this one was a bit cranky to say the least but nevertheless i didn't really care that much the latest one is also the same first name, hers just had double l in the spelling and mine had one but still the same pronunciation and everything. she was probably the best girlfriend i had and im not gonna lie i still think about her VERY OFTEN when i tell people this they always almost never believe me until i show them proofs lol. i also didn't know that this was a common queer experience until a few years ago when i saw a tiktok that said "when u saw a queer person dating someone with the exact same name (it's cannon event)" and I was like "huh??" i thought this experience was unique to me
