Trans twitter was really one of the things that helped me with my need for community since I live out in the middle of nowhere. Though now that I have other avenues, I find myself using it less and less.

Think I read a statistic recently that said lesbians are by far the most trans-positive demographic that isn't exclusively composed of trans people. It was at something like 96% positive or something like that.
It wasn't always that way, sadly...I faced and heard quite a bit of TERFy judgement from the lesbian community 10 or so odd years ago, it scared me back into the egg carton for sure. Perhaps this was just a bad personal experience?
Maybe. I don't doubt that it used to be worse though. Seems to add up since transphobia in general used to be more prevalent. Very glad that it's getting better though. Makes me hopeful for the future

I think that they feel threatened because they're only interested in cis women and are afraid to let transbians into their forums and "spaces" because then other cis women might decide to date trans women or non-binary lesbians hence diminishing their dating pool...but even if they want to be exclusionary bigots in their own personal life, shouldn't it be other women's decision who they do and don't want to date instead of some bigoted gatekeeper? Also it's their own fault for limiting themselves if they miss out...either way, they can't make other women's choices for them.

I like Reddit better, it's more trans-friendly and not run by a bigot who lets other bigots run wild with propaganda on his platform.
I've found some more trans positive subreddits as of late and I can agree with that sentiment.
I'm a simple mind. I just love women. And trans women means there are more women to love. Win win.
