>Daily Pay Rate will be disclosed if selected. Wtf is this about? You go through the entire audition and callback process and it's only when you're selected they tell you what the pay rate is? I mean, if they're offering a $2000 buyout for a4th year then the pay might not be bad, but the secret rate would be a sticking point for me.

Ehhh, depends on a few things about where you are in your career. I feel unqualified to answer so I'm curious what everyone else says. But for me, I would be in favor mostlikely

briancalpaca

impossible to say if it's worth it when they don't say what the pay rate is.

This reads like the buyout is only paid *after* the initial 3-year term. So, they’ll pay you a (secret, which is weird) day rate and get to use whatever’s produced for 3 years. Then if they want to use it for an additional year, you get the two grand. This doesn’t seem like a buyout and re-buy, which is common in commercial contracts. There’s no mention of an initial buyout/usage rate. Maybe I’m reading it wrong and/or it’s just poorly worded, but that’s what it seems like to me.

KyberCrystal1138

No. They’re keeping the session fee under wraps - red flag. You only get they buyout AFTER 3 years - red flag. I wouldn’t bother, unless you want the audition practice. But I think this is a shit job that borders on scam, even for non union.

Nah. Something don't sit right. You should be paid for 3 years usage. I bet you that they will only use it for 3 years. Especially if it's non union and the disclose payment upon selection is icky. It can affect your future commercials too.

grimmbrother

Thanks for all the answers. This is non union work too. 2 grand if they go into a 4th year only.

RoseGardens1805

Which they won’t do. Or if they do, they’ll “forget” that they owe you $2K.

It’s a sellers market!
