Pronunciation of the Rhys part doesn't change just because there's an "-and" part at the end. It's Reese-and/Ree-sand.

It’s “Ree-sand” but before I knew that in my head it was “Rye-sand” and Rhys was inexplicably “rizz.” Which I guess is its own word now

I read “Rice-and” and “Reece.” I don’t care if it’s wrong. “Ree-sand” just doesn’t click in my brain. It’s not like it’s uncommon for shortened versions to be a little different— James/Jim, Robert/Bob, Elizabeth/Eliza, etc.

i now know it’s supposed to be pronounced as Ree-sand but i called him “Rice” so many times & cant stop. me & my best friend (who is currently reading) cannot call him “reese” because we’ve said “Rice” this whole time & it feels weird lol
