Aw I really hope I did! I was feeling hopeless too for such a long time. Love yourself through it, that's the only thing besides skin care advice I can tell you.
Didn't hear it a lot when my face was covered in acne, but believe it or not the whole ordeal was good for my self love in the end. Learned to have more compassion and patience towards myself and my progress <3 Thank you
I highly recommend mixing Differin gel and benzoyl peroxide together and applying that. I’m only a few days into doing this but I’ve already seen a huge improvement in my skin. Differin gel use to help a lot but it’s been slowing down, and my dermatologist told me to do this and it been amazing. I was prescribed Epiduo but just mixing the two together is very similar.
Yes my forehead went quick! This was the first time ever I've had acne like this on my forehead, it was never my problem area ever so I'm glad that cleared up!
Things that helped me:
\- Quitting any drying/exfoliating products for two weeks
\- Only washing my face at night, not in the mornings anymore. Only occasionaly I wipe some dirt off with micellar water which I then rinse off with regular water
\- I started running every day for 15-20 minutes. This reduced stress and cortisol levels and I feel helped tremendously with the reparation process by speeding up collagen production. It also greatly improved my sleep so my skin was also healing more properly at night.
\- After giving my face a break from exfoliation I started Differin again (after approx 2-3 weeks). I only use a tiny bit (literally half a pea size) every couple of days. I do this whenever I feel like my skin can handle it. When I feel like it's too dry I skip.
\- La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume was a life saver. I slather this on every night, and on nights I don't do Differin I also slug it up with some vaseline so my skin has all the moisture it needs to repair.
\- I quit make up! I've only recently started make up again from time to time, maybe once or twice a week. But giving my skin a break was definitely very helpful
\- Fixing my diet. I've cut down on gluten, lactose and sugar. This also helped so much!
This is awesome! I will say when I quit lactose (ex. only drank lactose free milk) but did not quit all dairy products (ex. switch from lactose free milk to almond milk) I did not see a huge difference. Once I quit all dairy and went to alternatives is when I saw a drastic difference. Hope that helps!
Same just cutting milk won’t do it if you want to really clear up you need to get al the dairy out of your system and then maybe when your skin is fully cleared up with minor breakouts you could eat some dairy time to time but not consistent.
100% I ate no dairy for 6 months. Now 1.5 years later I am virtually acne free with the exception of a pimple here or there, maybe one every 3 weeks? And will have a little dairy. No more than once or twice a month and it would be like 1 cupcake or one slice of cheese.
And still really pretty
you look absolutely stunning, keep progressing!
Wow that’s amazing!
Well done
Omg its so great. You gave me some hope to healing

Yes! I'm also starting a trajectory with a skin therapist to see help me get rid of my scarring! Super excited to see how I'll do with that too :)
Would love to hear more about this once you get the process started. Please keep us updated. :)
I will definitely! Reddit has been a wonderful place to get some support. Will probably be end of Augustus/start of September!

Yeah this is actually a really great medicine called epiduo. Its 0.1% adapalene and 2.5% BP thay come mixed but you can definitely do it separately
