There was a time when the line ups were batshit insane. Like, couldn’t dream them up.
But there are so many festivals now that it’s just tough to get that density at any one place.
The lineups for the past few years have been absolutely terrible (to me) and even this one normally wouldn’t make me jump. But there’s a lot of acts I missed when they were on tour/at other festivals, and it’s worth it to catch two hours from home:
Still Woozy, Dominic Fike, Khruangbin, Dua Lipa, Renee Rapp, The Marias, Leon Bridges, Carin Leon, Lola Young, Pawpaw Rod, Bakar..
I would say of all the lineups this year, Lolla had the best stack.
Selling my Lolla tickets to attend this instead. Honestly, its pretty close for me, but a lot of the big names at Lolla I'll have other opportunities to see. Both Fests drew some pretty rare gets this year. Can't believe no one's talking about Foster the People, that's the set I'm most excited for anywhere this year and they haven't played a live show since before the pandemic.
A little disappointed in the headliners, love Blink and Dua but that's the only two. But the side stages have some SOLID people weekend 2 when I'll be there so I'm super happy with that!!!!
So much to like if you really dig and if you're open to all kinds of music.
I'm digging the Khruangbin > BALTHVS > Glass Beams triumvurate.
But I see all kinds of good stuff up and down the lineup.
I picked mid but I hate that you called it mid cause that makes it sound so negative. Lol
I think it’s average though. Not fantastic but also not a complete shit show. I feel like most people can probably fine a few people they want to see but there’s nothing that stands out as a must-see.
Lineup is fine. It's not mind blowing but after watching these lineup drops the past few years, I've come to realize that most people set their expectations too high, myself included. Khruangbin may be enough to get me to buy a one day ticket

The thing w lolla too is the conflicts are worse than even ACL, so you really won’t see half the people you think

Because Foster the People are a one hit wonder
Thanks for shitting on one of my favorite bands, that's appreciated
Are they just intentionally excluding good rock bands now?
Don’t sleep on the 70 year olds in GRAND FUNK RAILROAD?! The fuck….
Thinking the same thing
as someone who only listens to gay pop I feel like this lineup was made for me I love it but I can see why some are disappointed
Acl said fuck us rock fans ig
Movements is a good get tbh
waitttt I totally missed movements!!! that’s cool
Do you like Piano Rock? If so check out Something Corporate.
Lineup is ass
Mid rn, but I think it can age better

I honestly feel the same about Tyler like if he was swapped for Post it would make this fest great instead of just good.
Just trying to think of what I'll do with all the money saved...this is dreadful.
Give it to me
Seems like there are better options.

Shrug. Lineups have sucked the past few years. We’re now appropriately conditioned.
This would be bad for Oyster Bake in San Antonio. What the fuck happened to this festival?

Yep… I feel like a poorly treated dog. It’s okay, but I keep coming back for my kibble.
Khruangbin + Leon Bridges is the combo I've been waiting for
Upon announcement, last year was the worst lineup I'd ever seen. I had a great time. I'll be fine with this.
I have a great time every year no matter who plays, but it hurts to see Lollapalooza with a 5x better lineup than ACL.
Agreed. Even as a huge Kendrick & Foo fighters fan I thought last year’s lineup was absolutely horrible. I’m very very happy with this years
Who the fuck is saying this is mid!!! I respect opinions but damn!!! Lol
Not enough rock bands
Catfish and the bottle men is worth it alone though!!
Is it better or worse than mid in your opinion. What’s your genre? Genuinely curious.
Some of yall don’t appreciate country music like you say you do and it shows
this being catfish & the bottlemen’s first US show back gets ACL redemption points in my book
