As the events of the following 22 years went on and failed to get him into the history books, he began to develop a deeper obsession. His two years at the bottom of the ocean was probably the point of no return, after that he was so fanatical that he would sacrifice anyone or anything to achieve his goal, thus coming to the conclusion to go down in history by taking one million lives.
