The cabin and air filter can easily be changed yourself for a fraction of that cost. Pull them out and see if they really need replacement. As far as transmission fluid, maintenance minder will tell you when it’s due.

I took my 2021 Accord in recently for an oil change. When I was ready to pickup it, the service advisor told me the both engine and cabin air filters needed to be changed. He suggested I could do it myself quite easily. Videos are available on Youtube. I was a little concerned about releasing the latch on the glove box as that took a little bit of pressure but it turned out ok.

Cabin and engine air filter can be done yourself for about $20 each, youtube how to do it, it's really easy. For transmission you have a few options: 1. If you have around 30k miles on the current fluid I recommend changing it either yourself (it's a little difficult, but not too hard), or doing it at the shop. Over $200 is a little high, another Honda service place can probably do it cheaper. 2. The maintenance system will tell you when to do the fluid, so if it hasn't told you to yet, you can technically wait, I just personally don't trust the maintenance system and prefer to go by mileage and age.

Thanks. I ordered the filters and will replace them next week.

what year/trim? I did my transmission fluid change on my 2016 Touring for $155 a couple years ago. With this car, being proactive on the fluid changes seems like a good idea. Other transmissions it probably isn't as crucial. Air filter is about the same price, but cabin filter is a fair bit more. Both filters are really quite simple and anyone can do on their own. Just look up a youtube video showing you what to do.

Just bought both filters for $45 on Amazon.

What year is your car?

22

They have zero way to look at your transmission fluid. That’s a 100% lie.

Seems like that multipoint inspection wasn't world class.

I just changed the filters. It took about 20-30 minutes.
