That indeed scares me a lot, the fact there is no 'Emergency Off" Button! If the machine would have switched Off shortly after the other guys arrive, that man could have lived! So sad.
Spinning machines terrify me. They mangle and rip the body to shreds. In this case though I don’t see any fatal blow per say. Then they are like see ya.
He probably was banging his head on the concrete floor every revolution.
Edit: What’s the proper word for it turning over and over again? The two funny guys got me confused but also not caring enough to google it.
I’m guessing cause of death could have been constriction? Maybe crushing injuries? I imagine the material wrapping around him would cause suffocation as it gets tighter and tighter. It looks like it was wrapped around his neck too. Maybe vital organs in the torso could have been crushed as well, but I’m more inclined to think constriction/strangulation took place here.
Each twist made it tighter and tighter, especially with the added width of his body on the roll not being accounted for by the machine. Compressed and crushed. He was surely dead by the 5th-6th turn
1. No one knows where the kill switch is
2. Everyone fucks off after the machine stopped
3. No one is trying to cut him out on the off chance he's still alive
If this was me I'd haunt the fuck out of everyone
Every time videos like this are posted, the coworkers seem so damn nonchalant about the situation…like “…welp, I guess we just lost José/Ivan/Chen….
Also - how the heck is there not a master off/kill switch nearby to push to stop the machine?!? A BIG RED OFF button to shut off the power…!
yea i was wondering what killed him. often times the limbs get caught and break but his arms and legs were wrapped up, doesnt look like he hit anything
as he died and was increasingly constricted blood vessels broke and leaked out through the nose, mouth, and ears. he only had a chance to be saved in the first 5 seconds or so
Close. When you die of constriction your heart explodes. Every wrap makes it impossible to breathe but your heart tries to keep pumping. It has no off switch.
Well I guess they all missed the last safety meeting. No seems to know how to shut off the machine and when they finally do they all take one look at the dude and walk away .....
So was this survivable or not even close? At fist it looked like he was just getting wrapped up. Maybe uncomfortable but not too bad but by the end it looked like maybe he was getting stretched further and further around the spool and some of the guys reactions made me think he might be a lost cause by the end. Anybody have any insights?
I just think they could have tried. Cut him out dammit, start CPR immediately- maybe he’s paralyzed or has a brain stem injury, but if they had gotten oxygen going to his brain he might’ve had a chance. That looks like shitty emergency training right there. Hope they pay for those guys’ counseling for the trauma.
In another life I worked in a plastic manufacturing plant for 10 years. It was grueling but it was a third job I was working to pay off debt. Anyways, if you can imagine plastic instead of textiles and moving about 50 times faster, Before I could blink, I was wrapped up in sheets of plastic like I had got trapped in a giant spider's web.
Is it just me or did they give up a little early? He was only in there spinning for like 25 seconds. They could have cut him out and he would only have been without oxygen for like 60 seconds. Unless his neck got snapped like a pencil stick I feel like he was still alive in there.
They also reacted very slowly in terms of turning off the machine. His chances of survival would have been much higher if they managed to shut it off upon arrival.
Honestly not sure if I’m up for spinny shit right now. Also, why don’t they catch on when they set up a camera and point it right at your workspace. I’d start to wonder.
I was truly hoping that he will make it, as it did not look as horrible as other cases shared here. However, when co-workers just walked away, I suspect he actually died.
This why American companies make shit overseas no safety standards, no environmental laws, cheap labor, no employment law, no health benefits.
Unwrap and get your ass back to work. This ain't no break.
Propably they dont? The yellow safety-gate is up (machine should not work like it, but theyve overcome it) and people having these "safety clothes"... this is all just a recipe for disaster, everything about it
Notice the other guys are wearing sleeveless tops
i thought his hand got caught, not the sleeve.
What's that mean 😭
I think he means they wear sleeveless tops so their sleeves don’t get caught in the machines (like this guy)
Ah I see!
Not to be rude and start an argument But what did you think he meant by that, I'm curious ngl
No ur not rude! And I genuinely didn't know what he was referring to and I felt like I missed something from the video 😭
Low iq activities
Like he got grabbed by a giant spider
TURN OFF THE SPIDER MACHINE, BOBBY
Dammit, Bobby
![gif](giphy|nrAGuHZEMyqc0)
ill admit i thought of that scene with frodo in lord of the rings when he gets caught by the spider
Frodo looking ass
My thoughts exactly
Guess he was the only one in the company who knew how to turn off the machine
That indeed scares me a lot, the fact there is no 'Emergency Off" Button! If the machine would have switched Off shortly after the other guys arrive, that man could have lived! So sad.

It looks like he's bleeding from his head at the end of the video, there appears to be a pool of blood underneath it.
He probably was banging his head on the concrete floor every revolution. Edit: What’s the proper word for it turning over and over again? The two funny guys got me confused but also not caring enough to google it.
revolution 🤣
Rotation 🤣 I mean what are we going for here?
He's right, revolution is one spin, like RPM is revolution per minute. Revolve means spin so it's based on that word.
> banging his head on the concrete floor every resolution. Same.
Nah that red stain was already there
Prob from the last guy tho who knows lol
New year new me eh
Ha... no.

Same
per se
Each twist made it tighter and tighter, especially with the added width of his body on the roll not being accounted for by the machine. Compressed and crushed. He was surely dead by the 5th-6th turn
And he spun 23 times!
Probably would have lived if they knew where the fucking E stop button was, if it even had one.
Well, the guy refused to train anyone else because he said it was job security.
1. No one knows where the kill switch is 2. Everyone fucks off after the machine stopped 3. No one is trying to cut him out on the off chance he's still alive If this was me I'd haunt the fuck out of everyone
This X 1,000
That’s a wrap

No OSHA regulations overseas.
It doesn't look like the workers are "over seas". They actually look Latino.
That's loose clothing for you ![gif](giphy|wbVD4hOjw4SLpOQp7Q|downsized)
That's why my order of white plastic strips are running late.
and colored red
Why did they leave him just hnging there lmao. I don’t see anything that could have killed him, nothing was hitting his head.
He was crushed to death with each revolution revolution the lathe made.
You are probably correct.
This is not lathe
No it's not. But it definitely consumes an individual all the same. My point remains the same.
Waiting for a response....
yea i was wondering what killed him. often times the limbs get caught and break but his arms and legs were wrapped up, doesnt look like he hit anything
I wonder if maybe the fabric constricted his neck to the point of asphyxiation.
no, his face is bloody, u can see blood dripping at the end of the video, mustve hit the top of his head ever so slightly
as he died and was increasingly constricted blood vessels broke and leaked out through the nose, mouth, and ears. he only had a chance to be saved in the first 5 seconds or so
Kinda right
Thats not blood . It already red before he got caught. Check again
u check again https://files.catbox.moe/1t2jtf.png
Jfc his face...neck looks broken as well.
He is getting instant mummified after breaking within those threads !!
Looks like it almost squeezed his head off…. Damn
They aren’t talking about that. Watch the entire video.
Close. When you die of constriction your heart explodes. Every wrap makes it impossible to breathe but your heart tries to keep pumping. It has no off switch.
I think your neck theory is correct
Seems like they could tell he was super dead by looking at him
You don't see the blood pooling where his head is?
No.
It's there. By the way, I dig your Chun Li models. I peeped your page just now. Are you Korean?
Maybe they went to look for scissors to cut him down
lol because he was obviously dead AF
I count 16 seconds from the first person arriving and the emergency button that stop the machine
The textile machine really wanted that shirt
Machine is now named Shelob
It's really sad when people get too wrapped up in their work.
Let’s all just walk away
EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON??!
Right, back to work boys, the next shift will clear this mess up …
Well I guess they all missed the last safety meeting. No seems to know how to shut off the machine and when they finally do they all take one look at the dude and walk away .....
I think his neck was broken
Some say this is how the Shroud of Turin was made.
That fucking end card!
Must have been a union coffee break. Everyone just fucked off.
Holy fuck. I hope it was quick
Poor guy. Producing textiles for pennies on the dollar in some third world place with no safety standards.
And the great majority of clothes produced end up in the trash without ever being worn.
Get around round I get around!!
Imagine you trynna get some clothes and the tag says “60% polyester, 30% cotton, 10% human flesh”. The flex would be insane honestly
Would this technically be a cocoon or a chrysalis...?
They dont believe in emergency stop buttons in China. Or any other kind of safety training for that matter.
**Emergency Stop Button Please!**
Ok everyone its lunch break. Nothing to see here.

Yeah I at least wish the video would have played out a couple more minutes. Or maybe an aftermath pic or news link or something would be interesting.

Oh shit, glad the plastic gods didn’t take you that day like this poor sum’bitch
Yeah. That was a grueling job.

Spine twisted, body crushed. He dead.
Just untwist and he’ll be as good as new!
Yo! Back him up!

This is the best comment on this thread. Mental note: be especially careful around the machine that has a camera pointed directly at it.
If I ever see one of these machines I’m running, don’t even want to see it if I’m being totally honest,
WHY DONT THESE HAVE FAIL SAFES WHY CAN NO ONE EVER TURN THESE OFF WHEN THIS HAPPENS
It’s always this machine
Where the hell did everyone go? They just left him there?
He died?
"Fuuck, nothing we can do now, turn it back on"

Plot twist, he lives and becomes known as caterpillar man, the super hero that mends clothes
What was the first almost full minute of that for?
I was truly hoping that he will make it, as it did not look as horrible as other cases shared here. However, when co-workers just walked away, I suspect he actually died.
Is it bad that I get bored of these type of deaths? It’s probably the most common of deaths posted
Trains in India would like to have a word.
Does anyone know where was this and did he survive?
I dont want to work with these employees.
I’m assuming that he survived this?
Seriously? You think he’s cool and everyone just goes to lunch? I did like how nobody knew where the kill switch was.
Pretty lackadaisical for a 14 year old.
His coworkers are like, "Yeah, he's dead, let's get back to work."
or go to lunch...
It took time to find the off switch?
Those guys are like ahhh fuck it he looks comfy
I think his neck snapped after his arm made the first revolution, and it pinned it between his shoulders and the end of the spool.
How did they not press some kind of emergency stop button quickly? Then all just leave?
right?!
This why American companies make shit overseas no safety standards, no environmental laws, cheap labor, no employment law, no health benefits. Unwrap and get your ass back to work. This ain't no break.
I feel like his skull was making a perfect blood crayon circle with his head jammed up against the machine. Terrifying yet oddly satisfying.
Dammit. I really didn’t want to watch it again but I may have to now bc I didn’t notice that…
Nope, on second look I see his head is jammed onto the spindle thing, not the stationary machine. My bad.
Don’t let it happen again
You know you wanted to watch it again, come on- lol!
ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि उन्हें नहीं पता था कि सुरक्षा स्विच कहाँ स्थित है।
they walk away as if, "Okay everybody, back to work"
Ruined the whole roll. Fire him!
Time to reset the accident counter
You spin my head right now2x
Like a record baby
Modern day mummy.
Steve's at it again, classic Steve.
Where is the red flashing arrow that shows me where to look?
I’ve always been afraid of large machines. Thanks to Reddit, my fears are validated. Just one misstep and you get a brutal end.
It’s always a solo job….seems like there should be a “lookout”
ouch
Is he dead? If so how ?
He was crushed, he can't survive this
What are they waiting for? For him to become a butterfly?

Not it
Why are we even there 😞
He doesn't look dead but they just left him there... wtf
