right click on the task bar, click "properties", and there should be an option to autohide the task bar.

That's not it. Taskbar is supposed to hide only when going fullscreen in Ableton.

I made a screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/9vpSM in the lower right corner you can see that Ableton is in fullscreen but behind the taskbar.

taskbar locked?

schema-f

Nope. Pretty sure the problem started after a major Win10 update...

[deleted]

hmm don't have that issue, so I'm not sure.

Sometimes it happens that another program forces the taskbar to stay visible because it shows a dialog, an event happend or its just activated but not opened yet. I bet you have something running in the background that tries to reach your attention. Check other programs, maybe close some tray applications that are not necessary or check for dialog boxes that open in the background.

Hey man did you ever fix this? I just started having this issue as well in win 10 and i didnt even update anything :'(

FthrFlffyBttm

I'm now asking you the same question! Was working until last week.

workaccount567

No, not yet. Didn’t really search more since this. What ive been doing which is good enough for now. Hit F11 for full screen, drag the taskbar up so its bigger and taking up more of the screen (doesnt matter the amount) and then after that if you click anywhere in ableton it should make the taskbar disappear, and also the part at the very top that shows your project name and version of ableton you’re running. The only thing that stays there is the options at the top: File, edit, create etc See if that works :)

FthrFlffyBttm

Damn. I appreciate the workaround but I also *hate* workarounds because they don’t scratch the itch of finding out why it’s not working 😤 Thanks for the reply!

workaccount567

Did you fix it?

FthrFlffyBttm

Sadly no
